‘It’s just who we are’ – Brutal Tottenham putdown leaves ex-player lost for words

Tottenham are not making life easy for former midfielder Jamie O’Hara.

Ange Postecoglou’s men were beaten for the third time in four games in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.

The result sees Spurs remain 12th in the table – 12 points adrift of a place in the top four.

The north London club have now lost half of the 20 league games this term, having registered 12 defeats in the entirety of last season.

Spurs’ woes are causing trauma in the workplace for O’Hara who underwent a three-minute ribbing at the hands of Sports Bar co-host and Chelsea fan Jason Cundy.

Not only did Cundy kick off Monday night’s show with his signature ‘Haaas Anyone Seen Tottenham’ segment, but it was extended with some expert creative work from talkSPORT’s talented editing team.

A hilarious montage played out which included calamitous music on top of repeated audio of Postecoglou saying: “It’s just who we are mate.”

O’Hara, who was left almost speechless by Cundy’s cheeky antics, was also ribbed by the inclusion of his previous optimism surrounding Spurs’ season.

Cundy dipped into the archives to pull out some quotes of O’Hara saying: “We’ll get there, it's a process. I back Ange, we’re playing some good stuff."

The Chelsea fan then pulled out a recording of himself singing: “Tottenham get battered everywhere they go.”

An embarrassed O’Hara could do little but take it on the chin as he told his broadcast partner: “Come on mate, It’s my first show back of the New Year and I’m already getting battered.”

Cundy replied: “It takes two minutes to do that (audio clip). You just put the new commentary over the old commentary and serve it up again.”

And it could get worse for O’Hara with a trip to Tamworth in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Defeat to the National League outfit would be unthinkable for Tottenham in their quest to end a 16-year trophy drought.

Silverware appears to be the only way to save Tottenham’s flailing season while the FA Cup also presents a direct route into next season’s Europa League.

Despite the doom and gloom shrouding the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Postecoglou’s men find themselves two games away from a Carabao Cup final appearance.

Spurs face holders Liverpool in Wednesday’s semi-final first leg hoping to take an advantage to Anfield ahead of next month’s return.

While Tottenham have been handed arguably the toughest route to the Wembley showpiece in Arne Slot’s side, Postecoglou has vowed to win a trophy this season in line with his previous managerial exploits.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the north London derby defeat to Arsenal in September a defiant Postecoglou doubled down on an earlier claim that he usually wins silverware in his second season.

He said: "No absolutely and I think I'll correct myself and say that I don't usually win things, I always win things in my second year.

"I don't say things unless I believe it. Nothing has changed."

Randal Kolo Muani transfer odds: Tottenham in battle with Juventus for PSG striker

Tottenham are in the running to sign PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani in the current transfer window.

The north London side are priced as the second favourites at 7/4 to sign the France international, while a move to Italy is odds on, though other Premier League sides are also in the mix. Check out the full odds list here.

It's only been 18 months since PSG splashed €95m on signing Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt, but it seems the Frenchman could already be on his way out of the exit door at the Parc des Princes.

The 26-year-old hasn't taken to PSG quite how he or the club would have expected since his big money move in the summer of 2023, scoring just 11 goals in 54 appearances for the club, including only two goals in 14 matches this season.

The France international hasn't started only two games in all competitions for the French champions this season, the most recent of which coming back in September, with the striker now very much having fallen out of favour with his manager Luis Enrique.

A move to Serie A this month seems the most likely for the Frenchman, with talkSPORT BET pricing a move to any Italian club odds on a 1/2, with rumours of a swap deal with Juventus for Dusan Vlahovic gathering speed.

Randal Kolo Muani to sign for before February 3rd 2025 (talkSPORT BET):

Any Italian club - 1/2

Tottenham - 7/4

Aston Villa - 10/1

Arsenal - 12/1

Manchester United - 12/1

Any German club - 12/1

Any Spanish club - 12/1

Chelsea - 25/1

Newcastle - 25/1

See all odds here with talkSPORT BET

Tottenham are priced at 7/4 to sign Muani despite having spent £65m on Dominic Solanke in the summer.

Ange Postecoglou's are slightly short in the striker department in spite of Solanke's addition to the side, with second choice striker Richarlison having only started one match in all competitions this season due to injury.

Solanke had a slow start to the season but has since gained confidence at his new club following his big move from Bournemouth in the summer, and is Spurs' joint top scorer this season with 11 goals, but it seems Postecoglou and Levy are both keen for reinforcements up front this month and Muani could be the man for it.

Aston Villa (10/1), Arsenal and Manchester United (both 12/1) are a trio of other Premier League sides also being linked with a move for the France international, who played every minute in each of the last four games for his national team as Didier Deschamps' side qualified for the quarter finals of the Nations League.

Muani's experience at the highest level and his ability to play anywhere across the frontline will make himself attractive to other clubs, particularly Aston Villa as Unai Emery's side look to bolster their squad for the latter half of the campaign, particularly if they can reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Arsenal and Manchester United may be focused more on the number nine position, with the Gunners still shy of an out and out number nine who can lead a title charge, while there is still talk of whether United have the right striker for their project under new boss Ruben Amorim.

Tottenham vs Liverpool LIVE commentary: Spurs desperate to take big step towards ending silverware drought in Carabao Cup semi-final

Submitted by daniel on

Description

Tottenham host reigning Carabao Cup champions Liverpool in the first leg of their semi-final this Wednesday night, live on talkSPORT.

Spurs beat Manchester United in a seven-goal thriller to progress to this round and they’re moving ever closer to a first trophy in 16 years.

But Ange Postecoglou’s side has been ripped apart by injuries in recent weeks and that has majorly impacted their form in the Premier League.

It leaves them struggling for confidence and winless in four heading into this crucial tie against one of the most in-form teams in Europe.

Arne Slot has the Reds clear at the top of the league table and into this semi-final, with a win over Southampton setting this clash up.

Tottenham vs Liverpool: Trophy pending?

Tottenham last won a trophy in 2008.

It means they’re currently on a 16-year silverware drought heading into their semi-final meeting with Liverpool.

A win in this first leg would give their chances of progressing to Wembley a major boost, and it may even provide a good omen.

Spurs have lost their last two league cup games against the current holders.

But the last time they did beat the holders was in 2008 against Chelsea and, of course, that was when they last won a major trophy.

So Postecoglou will be desperate for history to repeat itself against Liverpool.

His side’s current form doesn’t put them in the best position to go all the way in the Carabao Cup, but there’s no doubt over how bad they will want to.

This is Liverpool’s 20th appearance in the League Cup semi-final and Tottenham’s 18th – the top two last four appearances of any sides in the competition’s history.

Tottenham have progressed from four of their seven League Cup ties against Liverpool overall, but did lose 2-1 in the most recent such meeting in the 2016-17 fourth round.

Liverpool won 6-3 at Tottenham in the Premier League last month – the last English team to score 7+ goals away to Spurs in a single campaign in all competitions was Arsenal in 2010-11, while the most a team has scored at Spurs in a season is eight (Chelsea in 2001-02).

Tottenham vs Liverpool: Team news

Tottenham could hand a debut to new goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky after he joined the club from Slavia Prague over the weekend.

If available, Kinsky is likely to replace Brandon Austin who made his debut against Newcastle, with Fraser Forster ill and Guglielmo Vicario injured.

Spurs will still be without Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies as their defence remains obliterated.

That means Archie Gray is set to continue at centre-back next to Radu Dragusin if he’s recovered from illness.

Rodrigo Bentancur was banned for the last game but now he’s back and should feature, with James Maddison expected to start too.

As for Liverpool, Conor Bradley may replace Trent Alexander-Arnold who faces criticism for his poor performance against Man United on Sunday.

Darwin Nunez is likely to start as he’s now suspended for the next league game, while Dominik Szoboszlai could sit out ill again.

Joe Gomez is out injured but otherwise, Slot has a fully fit squad and he may bring in Diogo Jota to rotate his forward line.

Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo has been involved in nine goals in his nine League Cup appearances, scoring eight and assisting one. However, the only two games in which he’s failed to register a goal or assist in the competition have been his two games in London (semi-final away to Fulham and final at Wembley against Chelsea last season).

Liverpool have lost just one of their last 19 games in the League Cup (W12 D6), going down 3-2 at Manchester City in the 2022-23 fourth round.

Tottenham vs Liverpool: What has been said?

Tottenham haven’t won since their last Carabao Cup game, but despite losing to Newcastle at the weekend, Postecoglou is confident his side can turn their form around.

"I have never lacked confidence,” he said on Saturday. “I get that the results aren’t there and I get if people want to accept the situation we are in.

“You saw the performance of Archie [Gray], you saw Lucas [Bergvall] today he was unbelievable as an 18-year-old to play in that position.

“I just see so much to be positive about, but we need to win games of football and usually when you play well, you do most things right you get the rewards."

Liverpool have progressed from seven of their last nine League Cup semi-final ties, and are looking to reach the final in consecutive years for the first time since a run of four between 1981 and 1984.

Spurs have never lost when playing the first leg of a League Cup semi-final tie (including single-game ties) at home, winning five and drawing twice.

Tottenham vs Liverpool: talkSPORT coverage

This Carabao Cup semi-final first leg will take place on Wednesday, January 8.

Kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is scheduled for 8pm.

talkSPORT will have live coverage of the game presented by Adrian Durham.

Commentary will come from Sam Matterface and former Chelsea defender Scott Minto.

Former Tottenham starlet Jamie Bowden has been forced to retire from football at just 23, the player has confirmed.

The ex-midfielder suffered a serious ankle injury two and a half years ago in 2022 which he's been unable to recover from.

As a result, his promising young career has come to an abrupt end.

Taking to social media, Bowden said: "Sadly, my football playing career has come to an end.

“On August 13th 2022 I suffered an ankle injury that would ultimately ruin my interesting playing career I had ahead of me.

“Firstly, I give thanks for being able to call myself a professional football player and to score a professional goal whilst on loan at Oldham.

“I started kicking balls at such a young age and loved every moment of it. It’s just unfortunate that I was never able to fulfil my potential on the pitch.

“Since then I’ve learnt lots of new things.

“I’ve learnt that mental health is real and how powerful it can be.

“My love for the game is deep, that football is in my DNA and my want to help is profound.

“God is with us throughout.

“I want to thank the people that have stuck by me during this hard period, and the people who helped me during my playing days.

“I look forward to see where the beautiful game takes me next.”

Tottenham's academy then took to social media and wrote: "You’ll always be one of our own, @jamiebowden17."

Having joined Tottenham at the age of six, Bowden spent 15 years with Spurs before leaving the club in the summer of 2023.

In his time at the club the midfielder was named in the matchday squad on numerous occasions in the Europa League and Premier League without making a senior appearance.

He did, however, make 25 appearances for Oldham Athletic during a loan spell in 2021/22.

In that time he scored one goal and racked up five assists.

Since leaving Spurs, Bowden tried to revive his playing career with trials at AFC Wimbledon and Deportivo La Coruna, however he was unable to earn a new contract.

Tottenham star Guglielmo Vicario offers huge update just hours after club sign new goalkeeper

Guglielmo Vicario has shared a short clip of himself back walking - just hours after Tottenham unveiled the signing of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.

The Spurs goalkeeper has been out injured since fracturing his right ankle in the 4-0 win against Manchester City on November 23.

A collision with Citizens winger Savinho led to the Italy international undergoing surgery.

The north Londoners are hopeful that the 28-year-old could be back available towards the end of February.

In the eight Premier League matches Vicario has missed, Spurs have lost on five occasions - conceding 17 goals - resulting in them slipping down into 12th spot.

Deputising in his absence has been back-up keeper Fraser Forster.

However, the veteran goalkeeper has been struck down by illness, which led to Brandon Austin making his senior debut for Spurs in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Newcastle - nine years after he joined the club.

Their crisis has led to the signing of Kinsky, whose move from Slavia Prague in a £12.5million deal was officially confirmed on Sunday morning.

Czech Kinsky arrives at Spurs with a reputation of being one of Europe's most talented goalkeepers.

And he could now make his debut in the club's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

While Tottenham fans have been left buzzing by the transfer, Vicario has seemingly reminded the supporters not to forget about him - offering a huge update on his recovery just hours after the move was confirmed.

Taking to his Instagram story, the ex-Empoli star has shared footage of him walking without the use of crutches for the first time since his operation.

While Vicario's update is positive news for fans, it still remains some time before he is able to be eligible for selection.

Still, supporters have taken to social media to joke about the timing of his update.

Taking to X, one user posted: "Saw that we signed a new keeper and had to lock in."

Another quipped: "Vicario saw we signed a keeper and said time to go x games mode."

A third added: "Competition breeds success. We need this across every area of the pitch."

This fan then messaged: "You just know this guy is doing EVERYTHING to get back asap."

One then commented: "He heard that a new goalkeeper arrived and he starts walking??"

Meanwhile another simply stated: "Kinsky signing rattled him."

Tottenham boss Ange Postecolgou refuses to clarify ‘unfair’ claim four times in spiky interview

Description

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou delivered a fiery yet evasive post-match interview after the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.

An injury-depleted Spurs took the lead inside four minutes but fell to a tenth Premier League loss of the season at home in north London.

Newcastle's first goal, scored by Anthony Gordon, was a subject of controversy after the ball hit Joelinton's hand in the build-up.

It was allowed to stand and the Premier League explained that his arm was 'in a natural position' and 'the contact was accidental'.

Postecoglou seemingly took aim at the officiating in an explosive post-match interview with talkSPORT, while lauding his players.

However, the Tottenham boss refused to fully explain his complaints when asked four times by talkSPORT's chief football commentator Sam Matterface.

"Outstanding effort by the players, I couldn't be prouder of them," Postecoglou said when giving his assessment of the match.

"From start to finish, I thought our endeavour, our football, our will to try and play the way we want to, the situation we were in, it was just brilliant.

"On any other day, on a fair and even playing ground, we would have won that game."

Matterface asked Postecoglou to clarify his comment, but Postecoglou hastily replied: "Just that we would have won that game if it was an even and fair playing ground, mate."

Matterface then asked what he thought was unfair about the match, but the Spurs boss offered another frustrated response.

"I think it's pretty evident what was unfair about it," he said.

Once again, Matterface asked for clarity over whether it was the officials who bothered Postecoglou.

The Tottenham manager replied: "You don't want to have an opinion, you want to ask for my opinion? My opinion is it that it wasn't an even and fair playing field, that's it."

A fourth time, Matterface asked what initially got Postecoglou's goat.

Postecoglou responded: "Nothing got my goat.

"I just loved the way my players played and on any other day, that performance would have got the three points.

"Everything we did was outstanding and we deserved to win that game.

"You don't want to say anything? That's fine. You want me to say something? I'm not, I'm just telling you that today, we deserved to win."

Spurs next face Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday, live on talkSPORT, with injury issues lingering.

"We'll just go out there and play our football like we did today," Postecoglou said on how difficult it will be against the holders.

"Hopefully the playground's a lot fairer and more even on Wednesday night."

Matterface finally asked how concerning it is that Spurs have won one of their last eight league matches, but Postecoglou had enough.

"I love the way we played today, love the way we played," he said before walking off.

Tottenham took the lead in the opening moments when Dominic Solanke headed in from an excellent Pedro Porro cross.

Gordon equalised just two minutes later though before Alexander Isak netted the winner from close range ahead of half-time.

Spurs' first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario remains absent with an injury and his deputy Fraser Forster missed the match with illness.

Postecoglou handed Brandon Austin his senior debut in between the sticks as a result.

Alexander Isak equals Newcastle record held by Alan Shearer as stunning stats emerge

Alexander Isak continued his incredible scoring streak with a goal against Tottenham.

The Newcastle forward's strike also equalled a club record held by Alan Shearer.

Isak grabbed the winner for Eddie Howe's side seven minutes before half-time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Swedish striker was in the right place at the right time as Jacob Murphy's low cross was deflected onto him off Radu Dragusin.

In scoring, Isak has now found the net in each of his last seven Premier League appearances.

He is the third Newcastle player to achieve the feat, following in the footsteps of Shearer and Joe Willock.

The club's all-time top scorer Shearer scored in seven straight matches between September and November 1996.

Meanwhile, Willock did the same during his initial loan spell at St. James' Park in April and May 2021.

Isak will have the chance to break the club record in Newcastle's next league match at home to Wolves on January 15.

Another goal in that match would also see him continue to close in on Jamie Vardy's Premier League record.

The Leicester captain scored in 11 consecutive appearances during his side's title-winning 2015/16 campaign.

Isak has now taken his league tally for the season to 13 as well as scoring 34 times in the competition since the start of last term.

Across the same period, only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah have scored more with 41 and 35 goals, respectively.

The record-equalling effort completed a first half turnaround for the visitors.

Anthony Gordon had earlier scored a controversial equaliser after a handball was not penalised in the build-up.

Tottenham agree transfer to fix goalkeeper crisis moments before third-choice debut

Submitted by daniel on

Description

Tottenham have agreed to sign goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague in a deal worth £12.5million.

Manager Ange Postecoglou is currently dealing with a squad crisis which has seriously impacted his options in goal.

First-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario remains out with a long-term ankle injury, while back-up Fraser Forster has been struck down with illness ahead of the Premier League visit of Newcastle on Saturday.

As first reported by talkSPORT, it means Spurs will hand 25-year-old Brandon Austin his senior debut for the lunchtime clash – nine years after the goalkeeper arrived at the club in 2015.

Tottenham have acted quickly to address the issue by landing Czech Republic youth international Kinsky in the January market.

The 21-year-old is flying to England for a medical on Saturday evening.

Kinsky has impressed in the Czech top-flight this season – keeping 12 clean sheets in 19 games and helping Slavia Prague top the league.

He unexpectedly broke into the first-team after No.1 goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek suffered a serious injury before the 2024/25 season.

Questions have been asked of Forster during Vicario's absence, with Tottenham conceding 15 goals in their last seven outings.

Speaking about the need for reinforcements in January, Postecoglou said on Friday: "It’s not a matter of pushing but I think the club are working hard to try and sort of get some help for the playing group and it’s no secret, we need to bolster our numbers up a little bit. January is not an easy month.

“We understand it’s not an easy time to bring people in particularly quickly. At the same time we still want to make sure we do what we think is the best thing for us rather than sort of just, you know, panic and bring people in who aren’t going to be a suitable fit.

"They are not having New Year parties, they are out there working trying to improve our situation and they’ll continue to do so.”

In total, Tottenham are currently without eight first-team players due to injury, suspension and a sickness bug in the camp.

Beyond their goalkeepers, Spurs have been significantly affected in defence, with first-choice stars Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero all sidelined.

Postecoglou's men have struggled throughout the squad crisis, winning just once in their last seven league matches and plummeting to 11th in the Premier League table.

When asked if the situation has lift him pulling his hair out, Postecoglou responded: "I'd be no good bald, my wife would definitely leave me!

"I've never been this kind guy who is 'woe is me' and 'can anything else go wrong'. It's a hell of a challenge.

"I keep telling the guys in there that it's just going to make the story better and more interesting at the end, wherever we end up."

talkSPORT understands Tottenham are also considering a January swoop for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori.

Newcastle, West Ham and Brentford are also keen on the former Chelsea centre-back amid his recent struggles in Italy.

Goalkeeper Brandon Austin set to make Tottenham debut against Newcastle - nine years after joining club

Description

Goalkeeper Brandon Austin is set to make a long-awaited Tottenham debut against Newcastle on Saturday, talkSPORT understands.

Under-pressure manager Ange Postecoglou is without back-up goalkeeper Fraser Forster due to a sickness bug in the Tottenham camp.

First-choice Guglielmo Vicario remains out with a long-term ankle injury.

Austin joined Spurs nine years ago but has never made a competitive senior appearance in English football.

Tottenham are without a number of players due to injury and suspension, including first-choice defenders Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Postecoglou's men are currently 11th and in the middle of their worst league run since 2008, having failed to win any of their last three matches.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have won their last four top-flight fixtures by an aggregate score of 13-0, with striker Alexander Isak in red-hot form.

Austin spent time on loan at Danish club Viborg FF in 2019 and MLS side Orlando City in 2021.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper signed a new long-term contract with Tottenham in May 2024 and it was expected he would become second-choice behind Vicario.

Austin is known to be gifted with the ball at his feet, having made 78 appearances for Tottenham's various youth teams.

Although Forster is unwell, question marks about his suitability to Spurs' style have come up in Vicario's absence, with Tottenham conceding 15 goals in their last seven outings.

Against Manchester United in the 4-3 League Cup win, Forster was at fault for two goals, but has retained his manager's backing.

Postecoglou is said to be eyeing a move for Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone this month as Spurs desperately seek cover between the sticks.

talkSPORT understands Tottenham are also considering a January swoop for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori.

Newcastle, West Ham and Brentford are also keen on the former Chelsea centre-back amid his recent struggles in Italy.

Speaking on Friday, under-pressure Postecoglou said: "It’s not a matter of pushing but I think the club are working hard to try and sort of get some help for the playing group and it’s no secret, we need to bolster our numbers up a little bit. January is not an easy month.

“We understand it’s not an easy time to bring people in particularly quickly. At the same time we still want to make sure we do what we think is the best thing for us rather than sort of just, you know, panic and bring people in who aren’t going to be a suitable fit.

How Tottenham could line-up after being ravaged with injuries and illness as Ange Postecoglou loses another star player

Submitted by daniel on

Description

Ange Postecoglou's struggling Tottenham side have been dealt another blow with an injury to one of their key players.

Ahead of their Premier League clash with Newcastle, live on talkSPORT, Postecoglou will face a difficult defensive selection with a number of stars on the sidelines.

The latest addition to the list is Destiny Udogie who has been ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring injury he picked up in the 2-2 draw at home to Wolves on Sunday.

The Italian left-back had a torrid time with injuries last season, having surgery on a quad injury which ruled him out for the season and the Euros during the summer.

During the clash with Wolves, Udogie came off in the 50th minute as it added another defensive absentee to Postecoglou's growing list.

Udogie joins Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies in the treatment room - leaving Radu Dragusin as the only fit senior centre-back - and even the Romanian was forced to play through injury against Wolves.

Speaking of team selection woes on Friday, Postecoglou said: "Destiny is his hamstring. Looks around six weeks for him.

"We lose [Rodrigo] Bentancur suspended. None of the injured ones are back yet. We've had a bit of an illness bug with a few not training.

"At this stage Richarlison and Mikey Moore are the next cabs off the rank, we're hoping next week. Davies, Van de Ven and Romero all kind of around the same time, back end of January."

When asked about the possibility of losing more players to the sickness bug, Postecoglou added: "Not sure yet."

How Tottenham could line-up against Newcastle

Tottenham have a busy schedule to kick off 2025, including a north London Derby at the Emirates and the Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool.

Djed Spence will return from suspension after picking up a red card against Nottingham Forest and it is expected that he will step in for Udogie at left-back for Newcastle's visit.

Pedro Porro, Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray will likely feature along the backline with Spence.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr are likely to start in midfield alongside Dejan Kulusevski.

Postecoglou's favoured front three looks poised to include Heung-min Son and Dominic Solanke, while Brennan Johnson will hope to start over James Maddison after scoring against Wolves.

Brazilian forward Richarlison has also been out with a hamstring injury since November.

Winger Wilson Odobert who joined from Burnley in the summer is also sidelined.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario broke a bone in his ankle during the 2-1 victory over Man City in the Carabao Cup, despite playing for 60 minutes with the injury.

Fraser Forster has stepped in as the side's new number one whilst the Italian keeper is out, although Tottenham's recent torrid form has prompted the club to look for replacements in January.

Tottenham boss Postecoglou is said to be eyeing a move for Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Spurs are also considering a January swoop for defender Fikayo Tomori, talkSPORT understands.

Newcastle, West Ham and Brentford are also keen on the former Chelsea centre-back amid his recent struggles at AC Milan.
