Tottenham ‘pressing hard’ for defender – London meeting may have been helpful - Sport Witness
Description

A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for Inter Milan’s Yann Bisseck and Tottenham could now be leading the race for the defender.

Calciomercato.it have looked at the German’s future at the Italian giants and they reveal there is interest from West Ham, Aston Villa and Manchester United.

The report says it is Tottenham who can win the race as they have been ‘pressing hard’ for Bisseck’s signature for some time now.

Ange Postecoglou’s side can benefit from the managerial situation at Inter, who are looking for a new manager after Simone Inzaghi’s exit. The belief is that the appointment of Cesc Fabregas as manager can push Bisseck towards the exit.

The outlet are clear that Inter are already looking for buyers to move the versatile defender on and chief executive Piero Ausilio was in London yesterday to potentially speak to suitors about the 24-year-old’s sale.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin could also work in Spurs’ favour in the form of a swap deal. Whether Inter come forward for the Romanian or not remains to be seen.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have become the latest club to join the race to sign Atlético Madrid’s Reinildo Mandava this summer.

That’s according to Africa Foot, and they cover Tottenham’s interest in the left-back who is set to leave Los Rojiblancos.

The 31-year-old’s contract was set to expire at the end of this month. The La Liga club are said to have extended it further for a few weeks so that Diego Simeone can have him in the squad until the end of the Club World Cup.

Reinildo is expected to leave when his contract expires and can join a new club on a free transfer. Both his contract situation and experience make him an interesting option in the market for several clubs and Tottenham have been added to the list.

Spurs have qualified for the Champions League by winning the Europa League. The report states they are looking for an experienced defender for next season and this is where the Atlético player fits in.

In fact, Africa Foot claim Tottenham see the Mozambique international is seen as an ‘ideal candidate’ among the targets.

Reinildo’s prefers to operate as a left-back and can also be deployed as a centre-back. On May 31st, Spurs confirmed Sergio Reguilón will be released when his contract expires.

Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence, who can also operate as a right-back, are the two left-backs at the club. If Spence is moved as a backup for right-back Pedro Porro, there can be space for Reinildo at Tottenham.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with interest in a move for Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz this summer.

These claims initially originated in the UK press, where it was stated Tottenham are set to make an approach for the striker. It was also reported Fulham are determined to retain him, and that has seen them set a £50m price tag.

The Brazilian press have been looking at Tottenham’s reported interest in the Fulham player because Flamengo will benefit from his sale.

Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide an update on reports linking the 24-year-old to Tottenham.

He explained the Fulham player’s representatives ‘deny any negotiations’ with the Europa League winners over a move this summer.

The journalist reports Flamengo are entitled to receive 25% from a future sale plus an additional fee via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.

Muniz’s contract at Fulham lasts until 2026, with an option for another year. The South American managed 11 goals and two assists from 36 games for Marco Silva’s side in the recently concluded season.

Tottenham in the mix for Amir Rrahmani – 2 Serie A titles in 3 seasons - Sport Witness
Description

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Cristian Romero has been linked with a potential exit from the club, although the claims around Atlético Madrid have calmed a little.

CalcioNapoli24 report that if the Argentine was to go, a potential replacement could be Napoli defender Amir Rrahmani, who won the Scudetto with the Partenopei some days ago and it was his second Serie A title win in three seasons.

The 31-year-old’s current contract in Naples runs out in the summer of 2027 and while a renewal has been put forward by sporting director Giovanni Manna, Tottenham’s interest can rock the boat. That interest is described as being strong.

The report claims that the player is also attracting interest from the Middle East and has strong admirers in Saudi Arabia. All of that is rather handy when negotiating a renewal and claiming interest from the Premier League and Middle East could be an attempt to squeeze more from Napoli.

The reliable defender played every Serie A game in the 2024/25 season and has increasingly become a leader at the back for the club.

"Many more Tottenham than Arsenal" - Kevin Danso tells Austrian media about massive Spurs support - Sport Witness
Description

Tottenham beat competition to sign Kevin Danso on loan in the January transfer window.

That deal included a €25m purchase option, and Spurs have exercised it. Earlier this week, the defender said he’s not the best at singing but will blast an Adele number at his Tottenham initiation.

The 26-year-old has again been speaking to the Austrian media, and has more words which will please the Spurs faithful, this time bringing Arsenal into the conversation. Indeed, Danso couldn’t really come across any better for fans of Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Following the Europa League triumph over Manchester United in Bilbao, it took the player a couple of days to fully digest what had just happened. Indeed, he’s told Kleine Zeitung that it was only when he saw fans during the parade that he grasped the enormity of everything: “That’s when I really realised that I’m a European trophy winner.”

Danso appears to have been pleasantly surprised by the Tottenham support, and wanted to put any misconception in Austria about the size of the Spurs fanbase, in relation to Arsenal, correct.

He told the Austrian newspaper: “If you don’t live in London, you might not realise how big Tottenham is. Many people think North London is Arsenal. But in my opinion, there are many more Tottenham fans than Arsenal. It was an incredible feeling to see how much joy we brought to the fans. Winning something with a club like Tottenham makes the feeling even sweeter.”

The player could not be happier with how life is going for him right now. Last summer, he was close to moving from Lens to AS Roma, but a medical showed a potential heart issue.

He then had to go through seven weeks of heart examinations to make sure everything was ok, which thankfully turned out to be the case.

And now he’s a European trophy winner, and winding up Arsenal fans as he becomes a growing Tottenham favourite.

Tottenham player turns up at national camp on crutches – Not allowed to do interviews - Sport Witness
Description

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has been spotted turning up at Sweden training in Bosön on crutches and has been banned from doing interviews with the media there.

That’s according to Fotboll Skanalen, who report the Tottenham midfielder surprised his fellow national team players with an appearance at their training camp this week.

He turned up on crutches as he continues his recovery from surgery, after missing the end of the season with Tottenham following surgery on his left patella.

Ange Postecoglou has already stated the midfielder is uncertain for the start of next season, hence his absence from the national team set up this week.

He spoke briefly to the outlet, confirming that he feels good before then telling them that he is not allowed to do any interviews. In other words, he’s not allowed to talk about his injury situation, under orders from Tottenham.

The Swedish press officer then seemingly intervened, revealing that the Tottenham man will try to watch Sweden’s clash with Algeria on Tuesday. Then the doctors arrived and wanted to look at his knee, says the newspaper.

How they assess the injury remains to be seen, but it seems Tottenham don’t want him talking about it with any media outlets either way.

“I heard the news” – Youngster aware of Tottenham interest, makes transfer decision clear - Sport Witness
Description

Over the past few days, Tottenham have been linked with a move for Pisa’s Francesco Coppola.

The Italian press have reported the newly promoted Serie A side rejected Spurs’ approach and want to keep the talent with them in their first season back in the top-flight.

Coppola, who had spent the 2024/25 on loan at Serie C side Vis Pesaro and impressed a lot, has now spoken to Cronache di Spogliatoio about his future.

He was asked directly about interest from Tottenham and he responded: “I heard the news from my friends, but I only have in mind to earn an opportunity in Serie A with Pisa.”

Speaking further, Coppola made it clear that he wants to play in Serie A for one season and then make a decision about his future.

“I want to stay and try to compete in Serie A, now I’ll enjoy the end of the season and then I’ll come back full of energy to grow further.”

Although an ambitious plan, given he’s hasn’t ever played in the top flight, it’s very much a sensible decision. The move from Serie C football to Serie A is big, but the jump to Tottenham, a whole new club and country, would be even harder.

Pisa are likely to struggle in Serie A and won’t have big funds to rebuild their squad, so despite being just 20-years-of-age and having no top flight experience, there’s a good chance Coppola gets minutes.

That has to be a better plan than chancing a move to Tottenham.

Jose Mourinho wants Tottenham central midfielder – Talks started, offer made - Sport Witness
Description

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his midfield this summer, and the Spurs player has emerged as a target. There’s been recent reports Fred could leave the Yellow Canaries and Bissouma would be seen as a like for like replacement.

Hurriyet today report on Fenerbahce’s pursuit for Bissouma, and they say the Istanbul side have entered into transfer talks to sign the Mali international.

It’s claimed the Tottenham midfielder’s agent has been contacted by the Super Lig club and that Spurs are looking to offload him this summer.

According to the Turkish newspaper, Fenerbahce have offered to loan the 28-year-old, with an option to buy. However, Spurs are reportedly keen to sell Bissouma in a permanent deal as they look to raise transfer funds.

Negotiations are now likely to continue as both parties look to come to an agreement.

Bissouma made 44 appearances this season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the Premier League side until June 2026, which means a loan would be difficult.

Director in ‘intensive talks’ over player’s transfer to Tottenham – Spurs want to lower fee - Sport Witness
Description

In the winter market, Tottenham Hotspur signed Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich on loan with an option to buy. The forward played 1,257 minutes from 20 games for Spurs, managing three goals and an assist in the process.

Tottenham have secured a €50m purchase option but have no intention to activate it. Sky Deutschland provide the latest on the 20-year-old’s future and where he could play next season.

Vincent Kompany won’t include Tel in his squad for the Club World Cup, and he will be part of the France U21 squad for the upcoming games.

At this moment in time, ‘everything is still open’ regarding his future. The report states talks are planned, first between Tottenham and the attacker, and then between the two clubs.

The Europa League winners, who paid a €10m loan fee, find the €50m purchase option too high and want to renegotiate with Bayern to lower the price.

Sky Deutschland then came up with another update on Tottenham’s efforts to retain Tel.

The player is ‘still waiting for his final breakthrough at Spurs’ and it’s unclear whether that can happen.

It’s claimed the north London club are considering extending his loan for one more season with a high loan fee and an obligation to buy. There’s no mention of any figures.

The Bavarian club are looking for a sale and it’s unclear whether they would sanction a new loan move. Sky add Bayern sporting director Max Eberl ‘continues to hold intensive talks’, most likely with Tottenham for Tel.

The Bundesliga winners may have to give in eventually or find a new club as he’s not part of Kompany’s plans next season.

"They reported to my agent" - Tottenham player reveals PSG approach, Spurs have nothing to worry about - Sport Witness
Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s Micky van de Ven has spoken about Paris Saint-Germain making an approach for him earlier in his career.

The Netherlands international was a guest on Humberto op Zondag, where he discussed a few topics, including PSG’s interest, and Voetbal Primeur have relayed his comments.

Van de Ven received an approach from PSG before he left VfL Wolfsburg for Tottenham in August 2023.

The centre-back is a product of Dutch side FC Volendam’s youth system and spent two years with their first team before moving to Germany in 2021. He spent two years with the Bundesliga club and then moved to the Premier League side.

Prior to his move to the north London club, the newly crowned Champions League winners had registered their interest with his entourage.

“I know that they have reported to my agent Mino Raiola. It never got to the point where it would lead to serious matters. It was comparable to the time when Tottenham reported,” he said.

“At a certain point, clubs start to pull at you, and they start to report. But before it is serious, you are further away from home.”

Raiola passed away in April 2022 and if PSG had contacted him and not his successor, then it would have been at least a year before the Dutchman joined Tottenham.

When asked if he regrets not joining PSG, Van de Ven explained: “I’m not looking at that now. I’m very much in my element at Tottenham Hotspur.”

The 24-year-old started in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final last month.

Spurs take on PSG in the UEFA Super Cup in August and on facing the French club, he added: “They have a fantastic team of course. The trainer has done an incredible job.”
