Manchester United, Tottenham and Bournemouth make ‘advanced’ approaches to sign player - €10m asking price - Sport Witness
Description

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth are all chasing Botafogo’s Cuiabano for the summer window.

That’s according to Trivela, who state Manchester United face competition from Tottenham and Bournemouth to sign the 22-year-old, after earlier claims of a Brighton attempt.

He’s been one of the standout players for Botafogo in recent months and is attracting interest from several European clubs.

Manchester United, Tottenham and the Cherries probed about the left-back by contacting the Brazilian club and his camp. In addition to the Premier League trio, clubs from Turkey and France have also made contact to ask about his situation.

The Red Devils, Spurs and Andoni Iraola’s side have made ‘more advanced enquires’ by asking about his salary and family issues, to understand how well he can adapt in England.

The report states the Brazilian’s agent recently travelled to Europe, including a trip to England. It’s not clear if talks were held with the three clubs.

Botafogo manager Renato Paiva has used Cuiabano in an advanced role instead of ar left-back in recent weeks. His versatility is something that has also pleased the three English clubs.

Recent claims in the UK stated Botafogo have already rejected two bids from Brighton & Hove Albion. Trivela relay that and adds they need at least €10m to sell Cuiabano, and this would be affordable for Manchester United, Tottenham and Bournemouth.

Patrick Dorgu arrived in January and it’s unclear if Manchester United want another player on the left side. Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence are the left-backs at Tottenham, who may not look to strengthen the same position unless one of them were to leave.

Tottenham have seen an effort to sign Pisa defender Francesco Coppola turned away by the Italian side.

That’s according to La Nazione, who report that Pisa are now refusing to do a deal with Tottenham after initial discussions over the defender.

They say that Coppola will not go to Tottenham, with Pisa having now ‘closed the deal’ with the new Europa League champions.

The newspaper states that Tottenham had moved for Coppola in the last few hours as they plan for the summer and life in the Champions League next season.

However, negotiations between the two clubs did not last long, with Pisa reportedly refusing Tottenham’s advances. They are banking heavily on the player, who has enjoyed a great season with the Italian side this year.

Lens made an approach for the defender in January, offering €4m at the time. Pisa’s answer to that was no. They have now given Tottenham the same answer, although the value of their proposal has not been made clear.

It seems Pisa have no intention of selling either way, with negotiations ended quickly and Spurs told to aim their attentions elsewhere.

Description

Any clubs interested in signing Destiny Udogie from Tottenham this summer will need at least €50m to tempt them into talks.

That’s according to his agent, Stefano Antonelli, who has commented on a possible exit from Tottenham to Tuttomercatoweb.

Udogie is currently celebrating with the rest of his teammates after the 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final this week.

That has perhaps changed any plans for the summer, with Champions League football now secured for Tottenham next season thanks to their success in the Europa League.

Udogie was one of the current Tottenham stars who had found himself being linked with a move away. Several clubs in Italy were believed to be interested in taking him back to his homeland this summer if they could.

That may be significantly more difficult to do now that Tottenham are back in the Champions League and have their first trophy in 17 years to boot.

The Tottenham man’s agent certainly isn’t giving any encouragement to the transfer rumours, insisting it would take €50m at least before Spurs would even consider transfer talks about the left-back.

“It’s the second year of an incredible experience at Tottenham, where he’s always played: talking about vertical growth is absolutely in line with reality,” he said.

“He’s a player who could play in all the top European clubs. With the conquest of the Champions League, next season will be completely different.

“The transfer market is always open in all directions. Now I challenge anyone to go and buy Udogie from Tottenham for a sum less than €50m. Which Italian team can do it lightly?

“In Italy many players have arrived from the Premier League who have done not well, but very well, look at Anguissa, Lukaku, Tomori, to name a few. McTominay is a player of another category. Players who perhaps had little space in England: how can you think of going to take a Tottenham regular? Something special has to happen for the club to let him go.

“Translated: either a large amount of money, or because he is not part of the technical plans. As of today, I think I can exclude the second hypothesis.”

Description

Timo Werner is unlikely to swap Tottenham for Bayern Munich this summer, as his focus will be on getting playing time somewhere.

That’s according to journalist Marcel Reif, via FCB Inside, who can’t see the striker ending up at Bayern as a back up for Harry Kane.

Werner is set to leave Tottenham in the summer when his loan deal, which was extended in the summer after he originally joined in the January transfer window.

It’s been a miserable season for him in London, though, as he’s gradually fallen out of the picture under Ange Postecoglou this season.

They have no intention of making his move a permanent one and as such, he’ll be returning to RB Leipzig in the summer. They, though, don’t want him either and need to determine what happens next.

Reports have suggested that Bayern Munich could explore a move for him, with them desperate to find a back up option to Harry Kane. A potential move to MLS has also been mooted for some time.

Reif can’t see a move to Bayern happening, though, as he thinks Werner wants to start playing again after earning his money at Tottenham.

“Does he still have it in him?” he said on the programme Reif is Live.

“Is that really what it takes to continue sitting on the bench at Bayern? He doesn’t even play football there anymore. He hasn’t played football the whole time, and he won’t play football there either. It’s hard to imagine.

“I think he wants to play football again. He earned enough money at Tottenham. Right now, he should reinvent himself.”

Description

Tottenham have been mentioned as candidates to land Genoa’s Koni de Winter multiple times in the past few weeks.

While other Premier League clubs have also drawn links with the defender, Spurs are now emerging as frontrunners in the chase, as far as the Italian media see it.

La Repubblica have taken a look at the Belgian’s future today and they note how Tottenham have won the Europa League, with ex-Genoa players like Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Radu Dragusin playing a part in the overall success in Europe.

The story is about De Winter, though, and states Ange Postecoglou’s side are candidates to land another Genoa player in De Winter. It’s claimed ‘Spurs have offered £20m’ to land the versatile defender in the summer.

Rossoblu board member Razvan Rat was present in Bilbao to watch Tottenham beat Manchester United in the Europa League final, but there’s no indication any chats were held about the 22-year-old.

Juventus and Inter have also been linked with the Belgium international, who has played 24 times in Serie A this season and has also scored thee goals.

Tottenham ‘turn spotlight’ on lower division player – Spurs approach would be hard to refuse - Sport Witness
Description

Pisa SC’s Francesco Coppola has emerged as a new target for Tottenham Hotspur for the summer window, according to a report from Italy.

The 20-year-old joined the Serie B club’s academy in 2022, and they sent him out on loan to Vis Pesaro, who are in the third division, this season.

Coppola was a regular for the Serie C club, playing over 3,000 minutes from 35 games in all competitions. His performances have seen Tottenham take notice.

That’s at least what Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà is reporting, and he states Tottenham ‘appreciate’ the centre-back. The Italy U20 international has also managed to attract attention from elsewhere.

The journalist explains several clubs, including the Europa League winners, have ‘turned the spotlight’ on the young defender. He adds Ange Postecoglou’s side appreciate him and have been following his performances for several months.

The level of Serie C, though, is comparatively low and it’s surely hard to judge a player based on it. To put that into context, the average attendance at Vis Pesaro is 1686.

Tottenham have only expressed their interest in Coppola for now. Pedullà says it remains to be seen whether they will convert it into an offer in the upcoming window.

Coppola’s contract lasts until 2026 and Pisa could find it difficult to refuse if Tottenham were to make an offer.

Description

Cristian Romero starred in Tottenham Hotspur’s Europa League final win over Manchester United on Wednesday. After the tie, the centre-back said he loves Spurs very much when asked about his future.

The Argentina international also stated he joined Tottenham to create history and has now achieved it.

Friday’s edition of Marca relays that and states Romero wants to leave Tottenham for Atlético Madrid in the summer window.

The La Liga side took Julián Alvarez from Manchester City last summer and are looking to replicate the same strategy to sign the defender. They want to take every step carefully in their pursuit of the 27-year-old.

Marca state the former Atalanta man has informed Daniel Levy that he wants to join Los Rojiblancos. The Spurs chairman then made it clear that any negotiations would take place after the Europa League final.

Now that the final is over, it’s time for the Spanish club to take the next step. The report states ‘it’s time’ for them to have a meeting with Levy, who has a reputation as a tough negotiator.

The Madrid club have been aware of the obstacles they could face to take the centre-back away from Tottenham. Atlético sporting director Carlos Bucero and Romero’s agent Ciro Palermo have already made efforts.

Marca state Atlético CEO Miguel Ángel Gil needs to get involved in the negotiations for the World Cup winner. He previously dealt with Levy to sign Kieran Trippier, Matt Doherty, and Sergio Reguilón from Tottenham.

The good relationship between the pair will not stop Atlético from digging deep into their pockets. Romero’s price tag is set at €70m and the La Liga club want to significantly lower it, although it can’t be less than €52m.

Marca state Romero hasn’t changed his stance despite the Europa League success and is still keen on playing under Diego Simeone. He’s waiting for the two clubs conclude the negotiations.

Tottenham facing summer rejection despite preferntial option - Player doesn't seem to fancy Spurs - Sport Witness
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are facing increasing competition to sign Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis, with Atlético Madrid now turning their attention to him.

That’s according to Marca, who report that Cardoso is ‘gaining traction’ in Atlético’s plans after they abandoned a move to bring Thomas Partey back to the club.

The newspaper explains that the Spanish side want to sign a midfielder this summer, and they had explored bringing Partey back. His high salary and financial demands put an end to that idea, though.

Cardoso would make more sense, particularly with an eye on the future and he ‘now appears in red’ on the club’s list. They are convinced he would be a smart signing.

There is also the benefit of Real Betis needing a sale before June 30th to help balance this year’s financial results, regardless of the result of the Conference League final on May 28th.

Tottenham can provide a potential stumbling block as they have a ‘preferential option’ on the midfielder. They can sign him for €25m between June 20th and July 10th or match a higher offer from any club after that.

But the decision would rest with Cardoso, and it’s felt that Tottenham’s ‘only hope’ of convincing him is if they win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League. Even then, though, Atlético know that Cardoso is tempted to join them this summer.

Thus, it’s bad news for Tottenham, whose chances appear to be low even with the preferential option they hold on the midfielder.

Player has ‘no intention’ of leaving Tottenham – Reports of impending exit dismissed - Sport Witness
Description

Last Thursday, Bolavip Brasil reported Flamengo dream of signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison in the summer window. It was also stated they could offer Kauã Elias as part of the deal to the Premier League club.

RTI Esporte back up Flamengo’s interest in the forward and then provide the latest on this case.

Flamengo president Mário Bittencourt has opened talks with agents and intermediaries to sign players who are within their financial reach.

They had a meeting to discuss targets that can strengthen their squad, especially for the Club World Cup. At this moment in time, the Brazilian club aren’t close to securing a new signing.

According to the report, the Tottenham player is the main target to improve Flamengo’s attack. It won’t be easy to take the 28-year-old away from the north London club after this season.

The Brazil international is also attracting interest from Al-Ahli, who have better financial resources than the South American club.

Richarlison’s contract lasts until 2027 and the report states he has ‘no intention’ of leaving Tottenham as it stands.

His goal is to continue at the Premier League club next season in order to improve his chances of representing Brazil at the 2026 World Cup. This is the reason why the former Everton man doesn’t want to leave Spurs.

Tottenham may think otherwise this summer.
