Spurs slumped to a fourth straight Premier League loss as strugglers Leicester fought back from a goal down to claim their first win in nine games at a mutinous Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The home fans aimed chants of 'we want Levy out' at watching chairman Daniel Levy as Ange Postecoglou's injury-hit side conceded twice in four minutes straight after half-time. They then booed at the final whistle as Spurs' dismal season hit a new low.

The hosts had led courtesy of Richarlison's first-half header from Pedro Porro's cross but Jamie Vardy levelled from Bobby De Cordova-Reid's low cross only 57 seconds after the break.

The hosts were stunned by the equaliser and conceded what turned out to be the decisive goal when they backed off and allowed Bilal El Khannouss to find the bottom corner from outside the box.

Spurs came into the game having enjoyed some respite from their wretched Premier League form with a Europa League win at Hoffenheim but it came at a cost, with James Maddison joining their double-figure injury list due to "soreness" from that game.

Richarlison's goal put them in command at half-time but Leicester exposed their defensive vulnerability ruthlessly, with Vardy and El Khannouss turning the game on its head in front of the delirious travelling fans, whose celebrations contrasted with the discontent of the home supporters.

Spurs tried to rally, with Porro's deflected free-kick striking the crossbar, but they lacked ideas otherwise in the latter stages, with Heung-Min Son having twice been denied by Leicester goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk in the first half.

The defeat extends their winless run to seven Premier League games, deepening the sense of crisis at the club and keeping them in 15th place in the table. Leicester, meanwhile, climb out of the relegation zone into 17th.

Levy was the main target for the home fans' ire but there were also boos for Postecoglou's decision to withdraw goalscorer Richarlison, although the Spurs boss later explained the forward was "feeling his groin" having only recently returned from injury.

Spurs' woes in stats

Spurs lost their 13th Premier League game of the season. Only Leicester, Wolves and Southampton have lost more.

Spurs have failed to win any of their last seven Premier League games (D1 L6), their longest winless run in the top-flight since a nine-match stint between May and October 2008.

Spurs have now dropped 21 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, the most by any side in the division.

Since the cancelled fight over two years ago, Eubank Jr lost to Liam Smith but won the rematch in 2023 and only fought once in 2024, with a stoppage victory over Kamil Szeremeta.

Benn spent 525 days out of the ring before boxing in America, beating Mexican Rodolfo Orozco in September 2023 in Florida, then Peter Dobson in Las Vegas last February. He took both of those wins by unanimous decision.

"He's a good player. He came through at Barcelona along with Gavi and Pedri, and was seen as like the more kind of physical, sort of dominant holding player of the three.

"And there was a nice dream that Pedri and Gavi and Nico Gonzalez would rise through the ranks together.

"Pedri is a bit older than the other two but as a trio, they are La Masia born and bred and they've got the perfect skill set.

"It's the No 6, it's the No 8, it's the No 10. Oh, look, it's Busquets, Xavi and Iniseta reborn.

"It hasn't really happened, obviously. Lots of Barcelona financial issues playing into all of that, and injuries to both of the others too.

"Nico has ended up at Porto and has kind of flourished. We know that players coming over from Porto and Benfica and the Portuguese League, they tend to adapt really, really well.

"Nico's a good player. And I think he does bring that frame and that physicality that Rodri has, that City have really lacked without him.

"He's 6ft 2ins and a strong boy. All the other players they have in there, don't really fit that brief.

"And we've all watched City getting played through in midfield all season long, thinking why can't you shut down attacks?

"Nico is an attempt to fix that. But my one question over it is, if this was the answer all along, why wasn't it done 33 days earlier?

"We know that they sort of approached this deal at around £40m and ended up paying £60m, probably because it was so late.

"That would suggest that this is no perfect solution. However, they were clearly feeling the pressure of time and felt like they had to do something because right now they're not guaranteed to finish in the top four.

"Forget the title. And Nico is probably as good an attempt at fixing this as I can really see on the market at this late stage."

"It was evident that Ruben Amorim was frustrated with the forward's lifestyle and lack of application, and from the moment Marcus Rashford stated he was ready for a new challenge, it was clear that he did not intend to change his habits at the club.

"Despite all the links, the noise and the PR, the fact was that the only teams to engage United over arranging a temporary move were Galatasaray and Aston Villa, the latter acting in response to losing Jhon Duran to Al Nassr.

"Borussia Dortmund enquired over the terms of a loan, while AC Milan and Barcelona spoke to Rashford's camp. The former actively pursued Kyle Walker instead and the Catalans made it very clear that contract renewals were their priority.

"At United, it was well known prior to this season that the 27-year-old was coveting a move to Barcelona. Juventus, meanwhile, prioritised Randal Kolo Muani and got that switch sealed."

'Danso will fit in with Angeball'

Football expert Sam Tighe on Kevin Danso, speaking on the Transfer Talk podcast:

"He's a good defender. He's comfortable with the ball at his feet.

"He's seven out of 10 in most categories.So that's that's that's a that's a big tick. I like that.

"When he plays for Austria, he plays super aggressive high line football .Obviously, we know the Austrians press like crazy under Ralf Rangnick.

"So if you're asking if he suits Ange Postecoglou's style, I would say we have enough evidence to say yes.

"And with that athleticism, it means that he can recover in behind as well.

"It's a nice second crack at Premier League football for him because a lot of people won't know that he went on loan to Southampton a few years ago and it just went disastrously for him.It was not really his fault.

"I think he played most of his football from left back under Ralf Hasenhuttl. He made about six appearances and then just disappeared again.

"But Danso spent a lot of time in England as a youngster in the academies, MK Dons and other places.

"So actually, he's been waiting for this for a long time, this crack at Premier League football. It went horribly the first time. I'm really pleased for him that he gets another go at it."

"This whole story started quite early in the window, and it was Chelsea who started it off.

"They were the ones who were interested in him because Bayern Munich were trying to do a deal for Christopher Nkunku.

"We thought that that would ease the passage for Tel to go to Stamford Bridge. That one kind of came and went pretty quickly. And then towards the last week of the window, there was lots of interest in him.

"On Friday, Tottenham agreed £50 million with Bayern for a permanent deal for Tel.

"Daniel Levy reportedly went out to Munich to convince the player. He couldn't convince the player and he said, ‘I don't want to go to Tottenham. I would prefer to go to either Manchester United, Arsenal or Aston Villa.’

"But they weren't really pursuing it as hard as probably Tel would have wanted – and the big intervention came from Ange Postocoglou.

"He calls up Tel, has a long conversation with him and says, ‘this is how I want you to play, this is how I see you playing, this is how much football you're going to get.’

“And he convinced him. And at the time, we thought it was just going to be a loan deal. But it turns out that that loan is coming with an option.

“And if he does sign the option, I think Spurs will pay around £50m-52m. He'll sign a six year contract. That's if Tottenham do take up the option to sign him.”

Rashford 360: How his wild window ended up as a Villa player

"Milan wanted to do a deal. They ended up getting Kyle Walker because of their non-EU player rule, so that was out of the equation.

"Borussia Dortmund wanted to do a deal, rather like they did with Jadon Sancho. Last January, the finances simply would not work.

“Marcus Rashford himself, his preference, was to go to Barcelona. But if you want to find a club who's got financial problems, then Barcelona will come top of that list. And they would have had to create all sorts of salary space to even contemplate a deal for Rashford.

"And all of these deals would have required Manchester United to pay a substantial portion of Rashford's wages, which they were really pretty loathe to do. Because this, as far as they're concerned, was of Rashford's making.

"We had this long, drawn-out saga where his agents and his brother and his representatives were going all around Europe, hawking off Rashford, basically, to clubs who couldn't effectively afford to do that deal.

"And then come February 2, he finally gets his move. Now, that is a pretty long time to sort out a move, considering that you've said you want to go.

“Man Utd had to make it work for them. I was told that it was Aston Villa, plus one other unnamed Premier League club, who made viable financial arrangements to try and sign Rashford which would have been acceptable to Man Utd.

“Rashford will move to Villa on loan, with an option to buy for around £40m. But for the loan, Aston Villa will pay a minimum of 75 per cent of Rashford's wages.

“That could go up to 90 per cent, depending on Rashford's performances, his appearances, his goals, and how well Aston Villa do for the rest of the season.

“So, for me, because they've attached this option, because there was all this talk that it was just going to be a straight loan, I just wonder whether we've seen Marcus Rashford kick his last ball for the club.”

Davies commits future to Bayern

Alphonso Davies has signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich until 2030.

The 24-year-old, who joined from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018, had been heavily linked with a move away from the club but now commits his long-term future to Bayern.

Disasi explains why he chose Villa

Axel Disasi has explained why he chose to join Aston Villa when other clubs like Tottenham were interested in him.

Villa submitted a deal sheet to sign the player on loan after the window closed at 11pm on Monday evening, with the signing eventually confirmed at around 1am.

"The deal is done. As you say, it was stressful but I am very happy to be here," Disasi told the official Villa media team.

"The coach and the sporting director, they made me feel safe. It was very clear and very good. They were trusting in me, all of this made my decision to come here.

"I have a desire to play and to win. I am just a guy who loves to give everything to the team."

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne.

Sky Sports News understands that the deal is worth £12m.

The 19-year-old midfielder has penned an eight-year deal and will begin training with his team-mates in the coming days.
