Crystal Palace have agreed a £35m fee with Tottenham to sign Brennan Johnson.
Discussions have advanced quickly in the last 24 hours, but the winger is yet to make a final decision, Sky Sports News understands.
Bournemouth are also interested in Johnson, as Sky Sports News reported on Monday. They are looking for a replacement for Antoine Semenyo as he closes in on a £65m move to Manchester City

Johnson has been at Spurs since 2023, when he signed for £47.5m from Nottingham Forest. He finished as the club's top scorer last season with 18 goals in all competitions, including the winner in the Europa League final in May.
However, he has made only six starts in the Premier League this term under new boss Thomas Frank, featuring on both flanks after his position was taken by Mohamed Kudus, who joined in a £55m deal this summer from West Ham.
In total, Johnson has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season, having scored 27 goals in 107 games for the club.
Crystal Palace sold Eberechi Eze to Arsenal this summer and are currently missing forward Ismaila Sarr, who is at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Who will replace Johnson at Spurs?
Spurs are pursuing a new forward and wanted Semenyo before the interest of Man City and several other top clubs grew stronger.
They were interested in Man City winger Savinho in the summer, but Sky Sports News understands City want to keep the Brazilian, who signed a new contract earlier this season.
Dejan Kulusevski is still to return from a knee injury which has kept him sidelined since May and can operate on the right flank.
Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici was pictured sitting alongside chief executive Vinai Vinkateshem as Spurs beat Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, amid widespread speculation over a potential switch to Fiorentina.
Sky in Italy have reported that the Italian club want him to take up a similar role at their club, but it is understood Spurs have still not had an official approach from them.
Roma interested in Spurs defender Dragusin
Roma want to sign a new centre-back and have two Premier League players on their radar, according to Sky in Italy.
Tottenham centre-back Radu Dragusin and Chelsea defender Axel Disasi are both of interest to the Italian club as they look to strengthen their defence.
Disasi is available next month, having been part of Chelsea's summer 'bomb squad', but it is not clear whether Dragusin is available from Spurs.
Sky Sports News understands Spurs are looking to strengthen with another naturally left-sided defender, however, and they already have five centre-back options.
Dragusin recently returned from a long-term injury and came on as a substitute in Tottenham's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Disasi recently played for Chelsea's U21s, but was not registered in the first-team squad back in September.
Archie Gray's first senior goal secured a battling 1-0 win for Tottenham against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Gray, making his 112th career appearance, headed in from close range following a corner shortly before half-time, his goal clinching only a second win in nine Premier League games for Spurs and leaving Palace to rue their missed chances.
Oliver Glasner's side dominated much of the encounter but could not make their pressure count, with Jean-Philippe Mateta heading over from their best chance of the first half, before Justin Devenny and Maxence Lacroix spurned big opportunities after the break.
Gray's goal came against the run of play but Spurs had the ball in the net on two other occasions, with Richarlison, in for the suspended Xavi Simons, twice denied after VAR checks for offside.

Palace, who added defender Chris Richards to a lengthy absentee list due to injury, ran out of steam in the closing stages as they continue to struggle with their hectic schedule. They are now without a win in five games in all competitions.
Spurs came close to extending their lead on several occasions late on, with substitute Wilson Odobert hitting the post and Rodrigo Bentancur forcing a save from Dean Henderson.
In the end, though, Gray's maiden goal, nodded into the net from Richarlison's flick, proved sufficient for a much-needed win to ease the pressure on head coach Thomas Frank and lift Spurs up to 11th, only a point behind Palace in ninth.
Frank delights at 'massive' win
Spurs boss Thomas Frank said in his press conference: "I really liked the desire, the details mentality, the character and resilience of the team.
"It's so important we have that in the team because in a long Premier League season you need to go to very difficult away grounds and fight, get a clean sheet, and win 1-0.
"It was a massive win in many ways.
"Was it a top performance? No. Are there things we can improve? Yes. But to win here is a huge mentality effort from the players."
Glasner: We lack finishing quality
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner to Sky Sports: "It feels very frustrating and disappointing. It felt like a game that you can never lose but we lost.
"It's a little bit the story of this year. We're constantly underperforming the chances we create and how many goals we score. We have to agree that we're now struggling scoring goals.
"When we are scoring it's often from set-plays with our defenders and our attackers. If we have chances, we're missing them. Then we get punished by a set-play.
"I can't remember when we dominated Tottenham like we did today in many parts of the game but in the end, where the game is decided in the box, we're not good enough. At the moment, we have a little bit lack of finishing quality."
Gray: It's the best feeling to score
Tottenham's Archie Gray told Sky Sports on his goal: "When I turned around and I didn't see my team-mates celebrating with me I was a bit confused. Have I actually just scored?
"But it's a good feeling. Definitely one that took too long.
"I didn't have to do much. I was so close to the goal, I just needed to flick it on really. It was a good flick.
"It's the best feeling. You work your whole life for that moment. Hopefully I can keep it going.
"Everyone is saying they weren't expecting it to be a header. But that one came off my Dad's instincts."

What's coming up in the Premier League?
It has been a topsy-turvy year at Tottenham Hotspur, with Micky van de Ven lifting the lid on a memorable but ever-changing year at Spurs.
In 2025, Spurs have ended a 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League, finished 17th in the Premier League - with Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy also leaving the club in dramatic circumstances.
And under a new era of Thomas Frank, the situation at Spurs remains complex.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, filmed before Spurs' game with Crystal Palace, Van de Ven discusses:
Winning the Europa League and changing the trophyless culture at Spurs
What Thomas Frank is really like in the Spurs changing room
Becoming part of Spurs' leadership group under Frank
His goal of the season contender against FC Copenhagen
Spurs' 'unacceptable' home form with just 15 points won in 2025
What Spurs' realistic aims are before the end of the season
On his highlight of 2025…
Winning the Europa League was a massive moment in my year. It's the biggest moment of my career so far.
When I joined Spurs, everybody says: 'you're never going to win something. You're never going to win silverware. You're never going to win something'. Everyone just banters you about this.
Even under the social media comments, when they people heard I had interest from Tottenham, everybody was on it.
My friend is a Liverpool fan and I'm so close with him. When he said it to me, I just kept it in my mind the whole time. I said to him: 'don't worry, I'm going to change it.'
Luckily with the group we had, we changed it. And my friend was there at the Europa League final, in the crowd and he was as happy as I was!
Sometimes people still come up to me and say: thank you for the goal-line clearance. It keeps in people's mind the whole time.
My father has a photo of it, my mother has one, but I don't have one myself.
On Thomas Frank replacing Ange Postecoglou…
You always need to adapt a bit. There's a new gaffer coming in with his new style and his ideas. There are little switches you need to make and in pre-season, you know the tactics, training and even the bits in the training ground are going to be different.
At the beginning, you need to get used to it a bit. I have a good connection with him. He helps me out on the pitch a lot and at times, he asks something from us from my side. Just like opinions on how I saw the match or the training session.
He's a really kind man to everyone in the training ground. When he talks about the chefs, the medical staff, everyone, he's so kind and wants to make sure the environment is really good. He's a really kind man, loves a joke as well.
On becoming part of Spurs' leadership group this year…
It's not something day-to-day, being a part of Spurs' leadership group, but sometimes when there are little problems or some things need to get solved, you get the leadership group together and talk about it.
Thomas came in and he wanted to see how every player worked in the pre-season and how everyone was in the squad, then he decided the leadership group and I was part of it.
It's a really proud feeling being the first player to walk out of that tunnel sometimes.
On his 'Puskas contender' goal vs Copenhagen…
As a centre-back, you want to score goals as well and you want to be important for the team. Last season, I scored only one goal and it was the last game of the season for the national team. So I wanted to score more this season.
At the beginning, I just wanted to dribble past one player and then I saw three players coming up to me. I just did one movement and saw I was through. I went through on goal and saw one Copenhagen was still there - but Randal Kolo Muani was to the right of him. I was never passing, impossible. I just kept going, and going and going to the goal. The defender was staying in the middle so I accelerated. Then I was through and had to finish it, or I made the run for nothing.
I knew I had done something special there. I think I will be one of the Puskas nominees. I think it's similar to Sonny's goal which won it. I spoke to him about it, he says his goal is better. Sometimes you can joke about it, he texted me the day after.
On Spurs' season so far…
We started the season really well, played a couple of good games. But there have been ups and downs and it's not going really well at the moment.
It's really important that we get out of this. We just need to get some points. The last games, we've been losing too much in my opinion. This needs to change.
On Spurs winning just 15 points at home in 2025…
That's really difficult to say why. If we knew the problem with the home form, we'd do something about it. We don't win easily at home, I don't know exactly what it is.
It's something as a player group that we need to change, people need to be scared to come to our stadium and sometimes we haven't had the feeling opposition teams have this. It's something we need to do together.
You speak sometimes about it with the players: is there something going on in the player group? But I have no clue what the exact point is why we struggle at home. That's just something we need to change.
James Maddison has unfortunately been out for a long time, Dejan Kulusevski's been out for a long time, Dom Solanke has also been out for a long time - that's three important players for us.
When they come back, hopefully things are going to change. But we can't blame injuries for our home form being this bad. Because 15 points, that's only five wins. That's not acceptable, that's something we really need to change.
On what Spurs' 2026 aims are…
First we need to make sure we play with stability, that we play more consistently. There are too many ups and downs.
Then we just want to play Europe next year, that's the big aim - it's where this club needs to play. There's the FA Cup still to play for, a lovely competition. And we're still in the Champions League.
And me personally, I just want to be fit for the whole season. And then there's the World Cup. We have some great defenders at the moment with the Netherlands, there's some tough decisions to make for the gaffer.
I want to be there, my first World Cup would be an unbelievable experience. I was there two years ago for the Euros, another massive thing for me personally. And our chances? We have a really good team but other countries are really strong. You can have one day where you have an off day and you can go back home.
Archie Gray's first senior goal secured a battling 1-0 win for Tottenham against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

What's coming up in the Premier League?
Leeds' 4-3-3 is dead - long live the 4-3-3?
Leeds' upturn in form after changing shape to a 3-5-2 was meant to signal the end of the 4-3-3 which had earned them just 11 points from their opening 12 games.... Until Joe Rodon's enforced withdrawal at Sunderland and a return to their old formation heralded one of their brightest 45 minutes of the season.
Ahead of kick-off at the Stadium of Light, Daniel Farke did what many managers do and played down the importance of any system on his side's fortunes, focusing on the players instead - and 90 minutes later he could count himself fully vindicated.
Sunderland 1-1 Leeds - Match report and highlights
As it happened | Teams | Stats
Leeds' recent form since their new game plan was formed has had an inevitable positive effect on their collective and individual confidence. The same players who looked so risk-averse, so solid but unspectacular in the early weeks were a different side altogether in the north east on Sunday - despite reverting to their old shape.
Just look at the manner of their equaliser, with every player touching the ball in the build-up. Pep Guardiola would have been proud of that one.
The 4-3-3 that had previously afforded just 11 goals across Leeds' first 12 games was suddenly cutting through Sunderland at will. Only an inexplicable miss from Jayden Bogle stopped them really threatening Sunderland's unbeaten home record as they produced their highest non-penalty xG of any single half of football all season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin had thrived more than anyone from Farke's system change after being afforded a strike partner in Noah Okafor. But with Leeds finding their rhythm, he no longer looked isolated. Okafor flourished back out wide and instead Brenden Aaronson provided that attacking support in a free role off the right - racking up 15 touches in the Sunderland box.
The extent of Rodon's injury may dictate whether Leeds continue in this vein or return to their settled system which had earned them eight points and 11 goals from their last four matches. But it certainly offers hope that 4-3-3 can still exist in their arsenal - it just needs Farke's players to have the confidence to make the most of it.

Gray has a bright future
Archie Gray was the hero for Spurs at Crystal Palace as the first goal of a senior career that, amazingly, already spans 112 games at 19, proved decisive. He filled in admirably in defence last season. Now he is back in midfield and showing his potential.

He has become a fixture under Thomas Frank recently, starting seven of Spurs' last eight games in all competitions, and the head coach clearly likes what he is seeing. "I think Archie is growing," he said as he talked up his promise in his press conference.
Frank highlighted the strength of character shown in bouncing back from his error against Nottingham Forest. There was praise for his alertness in scoring his goal and also for his off-the-ball work. It all adds up to an exciting package, and a young player with a big future.

Mateta's struggles hurting Palace
Another blank for Jean-Philippe Mateta against Spurs made it seven games without a goal for the Frenchman in all competitions. His ruthless finishing has been crucial for the majority of a memorable year for Crystal Palace but he ends it in a rut.
Mateta has not been helped by a heavy workload. His minutes have also had to be managed lately due to an injury. But his struggles in front of goal lie at the heart of Palace's recent issues. He remains a handful for opposition centre-backs but his confidence has clearly taken a hit.
Oliver Glasner was careful not to blame him in his press conference after his side's latest defeat. "Of course you need your striker to score goals, but JP has scored so many goals since I arrived," he said. "You also need the support from the team-mates left and right."
In Justin Devenny and Yeremy Pino, the players either side of him on Sunday have only scored two Premier League goals between them this season. Even the sorely-missed Ismaila Sarr only found the net three times before his departure to AFCON.
Glasner is banking on help arriving in the January transfer window. As he said himself after the game, it is "clear" what is needed. But most important is finding a way to bring Mateta back to form.

Could AFCON snub be Adingra's blessing in disguise?
Less than two years ago Simon Adingra was picking up the man-of-the-match award in the AFCON final after making both goals as Ivory Coast took home the trophy with a 2-1 win over Nigeria.
It was soon sat on the Adingra mantelpiece next to the young-player-of-the-tournament award from the same competition. The sky must have felt the limit for the-then 22-year-old Brighton winger.
At that point it would have certainly felt unthinkable that his career could stagnate to the point he would not even make the squad for the next edition - but with just 13 Premier League starts in 2025 coming into Sunday's game for Sunderland against Leeds, his omission has come as no surprise.

Of course, things change quickly in football. Perhaps they already have. Handed a place in Regis Le Bris' starting XI, largely owing to absences from players who are at AFCON, Adingra took full advantage with a superbly-taken opener against Leeds and should have added an assist had Brian Brobbey not turned his inch-perfect cross onto the crossbar.
Le Bris himself summed up Adingra's situation perfectly. "The journey of a professional footballer is that you have ups and downs," he told Sky Sports.
"We knew from the beginning that is was possible to have a period of adaptation. A new club, new culture, new team-mates. He is a really good winger. It is just a question of confidence."
For sure, the player who lit up AFCON two years ago and appeared the latest off the production line of Brighton starlets still exists. And like any confidence player, both form and opportunity will be required to unearth it again.

Oliver Glasner said Crystal Palace's need for reinforcements in the January transfer window is clear as former Eagles boss Alan Pardew urged the board to back the Austrian.
Palace fell to a third straight defeat in the Premier League as they suffered a 1-0 loss to Tottenham at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Archie Gray's goal was the difference as Palace were once again let down by poor finishing.
It's a familiar tale for the south London club who have created with ease in the Premier League this season but have been unable to make their chances count.
Glasner's side have the biggest xG differential in the top flight this season, scoring 8.4 goals fewer than their xG would suggest in the Premier League this season, with 21 goals from 29.4 xG.
Palace are also suffering from player absences with Ismaila Sarr, Daniel Munoz and Daichi Kamada among those unavailable due to international duty or injury.
Asked whether he feels he has assurances that Palace will be active in the transfer window, Glasner placed the ball firmly in the board's court to help provide a solution in January.

"To be honest, if you watch our game today, it's pretty clear what we need," Glasner told the press.
"Then, it's the decision of Crystal Palace. If you're constantly underperforming in scoring goals, what we can do is encourage the players, support them, and be positive.
"I can't blame anybody for missing the chances, but we have to accept right now that we have a little bit of a lack of finishing quality in the team.
"It looks like we can't replace Ismaila Sarr, Daniel Munoz and Daichi Kamada, who are very often involved in our goals.
"But on the other side, we want to be back in the next week, so it's now to support all the players.
"I see the way we play, the structure, the chances we create. The patterns work.
"It's now really supporting the players to get this confidence back that they are able to score more goals.
"My feeling is the closer we come to the goal, the more nervous we get in decision-making."
Pardew: Sign players to keep Glasner at the club
Pardew rallied in support of the current Palace boss, suggesting Glasner, whose contract at Selhurst Park comes to an end in the summer, must be backed if the Eagles are intent on keeping him longer term.
A look at Crystal Palace's plans for the January transfer window
"There's that situation with the manager," said Pardew on Super Sunday. "He's suggesting, 'I want some more players'. His contract is out in the summer. He's probably more important than anything else, to keep him at the club. He's done such a tremendous job.
"If I were the board, I'd be looking to feed him a player or two.
"And Marc Guehi is out of contract in the summer and could sign a pre-contract in January. I just think with the board they have there, American ownership, there is finance available. Whether they can get the targets over the line is another matter - it's always difficult in January."
Hughes: It's not energy that's the problem, it's finishing
Palace midfielder Will Hughes has refuted suggestions that Palace's poor form is down to fatigue. The FA Cup holders have had to deal with a hectic festive schedule, competing across the league, Conference League and Carabao Cup this month.
Their fixture list will grow in the new year with the FA Cup and two extra play-offs in Europe to reach the last 16 of the Conference League. Palace also have six players, more than any other team, among the top 13 Premier League players to have played the most minutes across all competitions.
Asked about whether fatigue is to blame for their recent slump, Hughes told Sky Sports: "It's nothing to do with energy or fatigue. We're just going through one of those stages now, all teams go through it, where they create chances and don't put the ball in the back of the net.
"Unfortunately, we're going through it at the moment. We're creating chances, which is the most important thing. The next stage is putting the ball in the back of the net and results will change."

Oliver Glasner says Crystal Palace's need for reinforcements in the January transfer window is clear as former Eagles boss Alan Pardew urges the board to back the Austrian.
Palace fell to a third straight defeat in the Premier League as they suffered a 1-0 loss to Tottenham at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Archie Gray's goal was the difference; however, Palace were once again let down by poor finishing.
It's a familiar tale for the south London club who have created with ease in the Premier League this season but have been unable to make their chances count.
Glasner's side have the biggest xG differential in the top flight this season, scoring 8.4 goals fewer than their xG would suggest in the Premier League this season (21 goals from 29.4 xG).
Palace are also suffering from player absences with Ismaila Sarr, Daniel Munoz and Daichi Kamada among players unavailable due to international duty or injury.

Pardew rallied to the support of the current Palace boss, suggesting Glasner, who's contract at Selhurst Park comes to an end in the summer, must be backed if the Eagles are intent on keeping him longer term.
