We asked for your thoughts after Saturday's Premier League between Tottenham and Fulham

Here are some of your comments:

Spurs fans

Phil: Despite the injuries, it is becoming clear that the bulk of our players are not above mid-table mediocrity. The manager - who I really like - is beginning to look out of his depth and if the next three games don't go Spurs' way, I can see Frank being sacked before Christmas.

Ashleigh: Crazy from Vicario. He should kick the ball into touch. He also doesn't kick long upfield when time is running out and we needed a different and more direct approach. Porro was abysmal and Udogie not much better. Another defeat now and we will be down in the relegation zone again. Frank needs to face up to a series of unacceptable and very poor performances.

Mark: It is not just the keeper's mistake, it is the lack of confidence and composure through the whole team. You look at running off the ball, throw-ins where players don't seem to make themselves available, very little creative play. If we don't have the players to play out of the back, then don't do it.

Edward: Another loss at home. There is no doubt Thomas Frank will now be feeling the heat and pressure. There will be supporters asking for his head on a plate. I'm not one of them, if anybody is going to sort out our lack of confidence at the moment, then it's Thomas Frank.

Fulham fans

Jim: Brilliant team display by Fulham in the first half, though a third goal would have calmed the nerves. Second half we held on well.

Neville: I won't mean anything if we don't beat Crystal Palace at home next week!

Will: After about half an hour we were hanging on for dear life, so it is a good thing we made the most of the first 10 minutes. Great finishing on display and a very important first away win.

Gibbs-White & Murillo expected to be fit for Wolves clash

Wolves v Nottingham Forest (Wed, 19:30 GMT)

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche on team news for their game against Wolves: "It’s better news. Not everyone’s quite fit yet but a few are on the grass.

"The ones who aren’t are Taiwo [Awoniyi], [Chris] Wood and Douglas [Luiz], but he’s getting closer. “Murillo we think will be alright, he’s got a little bit of a virus today. Hopefully he will be fit for selection tomorrow.

“[Morgan] Gibbs-White came off with a knock but we’re expecting him to be ready for selection tomorrow.

“[Dilane] Bakwa and [Oleksandr] Zinchenko are both back training, Bakwa will be slightly longer."

Forest's run of wins comes to an end

Wolves v Nottingham Forest (Wed, 19:30 GMT)

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest suffered their first and only defeat of November at the weekend as they were beaten 2-0 by Brighton.

The loss came on the back of three straight wins, including back-to-back 3-0 victories over Liverpool and Malmo.

But despite an impressive run of form, the loss to Brighton means Sean Dyche's side sit 16th, still just one point above the relegation zone.

That makes their game against bottom-placed Wolves on Wednesday night even more important.

We'll be bringing you some of the best quotes from Dyche's press conference ahead of that fixture shortly.

'Everyone will be available'

Bournemouth v Everton (Tue, 19:30 GMT)

Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola delivered team news ahead of Everton's visit:

"I think everyone will be available. Apart from the suspensions, the two Scottish players Ryan (Christie) and Ben (Gannon-Doak) out. I think everyone else should be available, yes."

Iraola addressed the growing frustration within his camp over the disparity in how fouls are officiated, noting the striking gap in the number of challenges his side can commit before receiving a booking compared with other teams:

"It's true that we've had a lot of yellow cards, but there is a part where the way we play we want to be aggressive, and we want to go for the challenges, and also there is a part where the stats are very clear. The amount of fouls they allow us for a yellow card is the lowest in the Premier League. I think we need four fouls for every yellow card and there are teams with 10, 11, 12 fouls that they allow them for every yellow card.

'We can perform and keep connected'

Newcastle v Tottenham (Tues, 20:15 GMT)

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on how the club mends its relationship with the fans: "I think if we were going to every game every fan wants to win and wants to do everything, if it's not going to plan then some may get more frustrated than others. Again I think there are some who shout louder than others so when you say 'you've lost the fans' how many is that? Five, 10, 20%? How much is it? I don't know. We want all 100% onboard. There are two things we can do, we can perform and keep connected."

'I think Porro was fair'

Newcastle v Tottenham (Tues, 20:15 GMT)

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on Pedro Porro's post defending Guglielmo Vicario: "I think it's fair, the players they are individual people that can have their own opinions. I think what he put out there was fair in every aspect."

And on how fickle football can be and how he stays calm: "I think we are searching for a winning formula. Away to Arsenal, that was a bad performance. Away to Paris, that was a good performance. We lost both. We played Fulham where we were down 2-0 after six minutes. Especially in PSG and Fulham those were good performances. It is about keeping going back to that and what we can affect the principles and keep the energy for the players. It is the only way out of it. In a tough period it is easier when you win but when you don't it's the same."

'Fans are allowed to be disappointed'

Newcastle v Tottenham (Tues, 20:15 GMT)

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on booing from Spurs fans and allowing people to have their opinion: "Yes, just like I am allowed my opinion. I think it is fair. I am just saying what I think. I can't say it enough. We have some fantastic fans, we are nothing without the fans. We need them in every aspect. They are very much allowed to be disappointed, no problem. I am just saying when you play a match at home it is not as helpful as when they can see them driving the team forward for example.

"Of course it is up to us to do everything we can to perform so it's going hand in hand. The beautiful thing about football and life is that it is never straight forward."

'Newcastle are good but not unbeatable'

Newcastle v Tottenham (Tues, 20:15 GMT)

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on Xavi Simons: "There's a reason why we’ve got Xavi here. He’s a very good player in every aspect, he has trained well in the last couple of days, in general he’s training well. It’s not the first time a player has stepped into the Premier League and needs a bit of adaptation to hit the ground running. Then there is one thing in a physical league but to play games every third or fourth day."

And on Newcastle, Frank said: "Newcastle are good. They have been good for a long time since Eddie Howe took over, I’ve said that before, I admire Eddie and his coaching staff and everything they do massively. They’re a very intense team, aggressive , they have a good home record. That is a difficult place to go to, everyone knows that. They’ve won the last six home games, so perfect timing. They’re good, but not unbeatable."

'We're learning'

Newcastle v Tottenham (Tues, 20:15 GMT)

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on the results not going the club's way and how he is keeping players calm: "We have meetings yesterday and today. Yesterday was a debrief of the Fulham game and today looking more forward towards Newcastle. There will be more meetings tomorrow. I said from the beginning we want to build something sustainable that can compete in all tournaments and we have a squad that is learning from last year playing in Premier League and Europa League. Going into this year we are playing in the Champions League and the Premier League, the competing on both fronts is something that takes time to learn physically and mentally, we are finding the right formula that will click.

"I have to rotate some players to keep freshness, intensity high. As a good example at the moment we are playing four fantastic games in 10 days time so there's two in two days between the games. Probably with a squad that is less used to it than others, no problem we are learning along the way... We still need to perform and win matches."

'We are nothing without the fans'

Newcastle v Tottenham (Tues, 20:15 GMT)

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on the booing that was directed towards goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from his own fans: "As I said after the game I completely understand the frustration, if you don't win there will always be a frustration. That is normal, it is part of it.

"Especially as we haven't won as much as we would have wanted to at home, not only this year but the last long period, maybe years, maybe more.

"So the frustration grows a little bit more. That's understandable. It is my job to do what I can to make sure we are calm and look at the things in a way where we split things up in terms of performance, what is impacting it, how we try to build the team.

"We are nothing without the fans. No club is anything without the fans. Tottenham Hotspur is nothing without our fantastic fans, nothing. We need each other.

"There is nothing we want more than making them happy in every way and my point that during matches that is where we need each other.

"During is where I want to create a fortress. I think some of you guys have an up to date stat in terms of how many games we have won, lost and drawn the last couple of years but if any club is going to be successful you need to create a fortress.

"If you want to create a fortress, it can only be together. Fans, team, me. My job is to make sure we do everything we can to perform but can we do that together. That where you create a difficult place to play."

Tottenham analysis: 'Completely avoidable' Vicario error piles more pressure on Frank

'Completely avoidable' Vicario error piles more pressure on Frank - BBC
Description

Tottenham Hotspur supporters who booed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were told afterwards "they can't be true Tottenham fans" by boss Thomas Frank.

Spurs conceded twice in the opening six minutes to lose 2-1 to Fulham, their 10th Premier League home defeat of 2025.

But the main talking point was Fulham's second goal when Vicario lost possession well outside of his box.

He came out to deal with a long ball and took the ball towards the touchline.

However, instead of booting it out of play, the Italian turned and tried to clear, but slipped as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was controlled by Josh King

King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder WIlson, who curled a shot into the goal from the touchline measured at 36.6 metres.

Moments later when the ball came to Vicario again, some Spurs fans booed him.

Despite Vicario's mistake, it was not an easy goal for Wilson to score.

In fact it was the second longest-range Premier League goal of the season – after Tyler Adams' 43.3m goal for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which incidentally also came on Saturday.

Wilson said he was a "little bit surprised" that he still had an empty goal to aim for.

Ten seconds passed between Vicario coming out of his box and Wilson shooting - which was five seconds after the clearance.

"I felt like the goalkeeper was out of the box for ages," Wilson said.

"I was surprised none of the back four went back to the line. When none of them defended the goal, my eyes lit up a bit.

"[Destiny] Udogie slipped too, which gave me a bit of extra time. Then it was all about trying to make the right contact and get it on target. I had a good feeling, as soon as it left my foot, that it was on the right line."

King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder WIlson, who curled a shot into the goal from the touchline measured at 36.6 metres.

Moments later when the ball came to Vicario again, some Spurs fans booed him.

The team were booed off at half-time, with the club 2-0 down, and again at full-time.

One of those booing sessions really irritated Frank.

"I heard some of our fans apparently booed the incident and booed after, which, in my opinion is completely unacceptable," the Dane told BBC Sport of the fans' reaction to his goalkeeper.

"[They] can't be true Tottenham fans that do that. Fair enough booing after the game, no problem, but when we are playing, we are supporting each other, we are behind each other going forward."

Kenny Tete had given Fulham a fourth-minute lead before Wilson's strike - with Mohammed Kudus netting for Spurs in an improved second-half showing.

Italy international Vicario is in his third season with Tottenham.

The 29-year-old told Sky Sports after this game that he had to accept the criticism.

"The second goal was a mistake of mine, I take responsibility for that," he said.

"The intent was to clear the ball long and I just hit the ball in a bad way. It was an even bigger mountain to climb."

He said being booed "is part of football".

"I'm a big man, what can I say?" he continued. "We cannot be influenced by the situation in the stands. The fans have the right to do what they think.

"It's on us to stay more calm, to focus on ourselves. We are lacking in composure and calmness to overturn results. Today is a bad defeat and it's tough to accept."

"[Destiny] Udogie slipped too, which gave me a bit of extra time. Then it was all about trying to make the right contact and get it on target. I had a good feeling, as soon as it left my foot, that it was on the right line."

While Vicario's mistake dominated headlines, this was an all-round bad day for Spurs to continue their home woes.

This was their 10th home defeat of 2025 in the league, a joint club record along with 1994 and 2003.

They still have home games against Frank's old side Brentford and champions Liverpool to come before the end of the year.

Only one of those wins have come since Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou in the summer.

Spurs have lost four consecutive home London derbies for the first time in the Premier League.

And they are averaging 9.5 shots and 3.2 shots on target per game in the Premier League - their lowest averages on record in a single campaign (since at least 2003-04).

"When you're down 2-0 after six minutes, there is a mountain to climb," said Frank.

"When you're in a bad spell, everything seems to go against you as well - the first was a deflected shot, the second is a mistake from Vic.

"This result leaves us in a place where we have lost another game. Every game has a single story, this game we lost in the first six minutes.

"We just need to keep working. The second half was much better and hopefully something we can use to learn."

Spurs analysis: Vicario howler sums up shambles of a half

Spurs analysis: Vicario howler sums up shambles of a half - BBC
Description

Tottenham's Jekyll and Hyde form continues.

A promising performance in a 5-3 defeat by Paris St-Germain on Wednesday was followed up by a first-half disaster in the 2-1 loss to Fulham.

This was their 10th home defeat of 2025 in the Premier League and they have never lost more than 10 home league games in a year in their history.

Frank's side were sloppy at the back and toothless up front.

For the first goal, Samuel Chukwueze's pass managed to go between two players before finding Kenny Tete.

Moments later Guglielmo Vicario ran out of his box to deal with a long ball, took it to the corner and then hit a weak clearance straight to Harry Wilson for the second goal.

The goalkeeper was booed by his own fans a minute later when the ball came to him again.

Spurs had never trailed a Premier League home game by two goals after six minutes before. And it could have got worse.

Chukwueze hit the post after Spurs failed to deal with a corner – and the winger took the ball around Vicario only to be denied an open-goal opportunity by Micky van de Ven.

In the first half, they had 16 open-play crosses with none finding a team-mate – and did not fashion a single realistic scoring opportunity.

The second half was much better – although it could not have been worse. But only two of their efforts were on target and only Mohammed Kudus was able to beat Bernd Leno, with a fine strike from Lucas Bergvall's clipped ball over the top.
