As their official Premier League return approaches, Ipswich Town are yet to complete their summer business, with reports now linking the Tractor Boys to a top six midfielder who is expected to leave his current club.

Ipswich transfer news

Those at Portman Road have already welcomed as many as six fresh faces, with the most impressive being a permanent deal for star man Omari Hutchinson from Chelsea.

Following the winger has been the addition of high potential players like Jacob Greaves and Liam Delap along with top flight experience to the tune of Arijanet Muric and Ben Johnson, with full back Conor Townsend rounding off the business so far.

Speaking for the first time since completing the move, Townsend told Ipswich's official website: “I’m delighted to be here. To play in the Premier League again is a big challenge for me and this kind of opportunity doesn’t come around very often so I jumped at the chance.

“The move came around quite quickly and I’m excited to get started. I have had good conversations with the Manager and everyone speaks very highly of him, so I’m looking forward to getting started and working under him. I played against Ipswich twice last season and both were very tough games. What the team was able to achieve last season was special, so I’m excited to be a part of it now.”

The former West Bromwich Albion man may not be the final new face through the door, either. According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, Ipswich are now eyeing a move to sign Oliver Skipp, who is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer and has attracted interest from all three newly-promoted sides.

A player with plenty of Premier League experience these days, despite still being just 23 years old, Skipp would be some coup for the Tractor Boys before deadline day at the end of the month, though he may need to take a hit on his current £40k-a-week (over £2m per year) wages.

"Amazing" Skipp would be an intelligent signing

Skipp is not someone who will steal the headlines - his role simply isn't that of a marquee arrival. But what he will do is quietly work away in front of Kieran McKenna's backline to provide a platform for the likes of Hutchinson to thrive. What's more, outside of his role, the midfielder would bring invaluable experience from the top of English and European football, having made 77 Premier League appearances and 10 appearances across European competitions.

The 23-year-old has earned plenty of praise during his time at Spurs, including from former interim manager Cristian Stellini, who told BBC Sport after Skipp scored a sensational goal in a 2-0 win over Chelsea in 2023: “Brilliant moment [for Oliver Skipp] and one that we expected for one year because it has been one year he stayed far from the pitch. Last season with physical problems and this year for tactical decisions.

“He is ready because he has trained a lot and pushed himself. He is an amazing guy and great player. A player like Skippy has to understand that if he trains a lot he will have possibilities to show his value."

Spurs struck gold on "incredible" ace who could be sold for more than Kane

While fans understandably pay far more attention to the players their respective clubs might sign in the transfer window and the sagas often accompanying them, player exits can provide just as much drama.

Unfortunately for Tottenham Hotspur, they've been on the wrong end of a few major transfers over the years, be that Luka Modrić in the late 2000s, Gareth Bale in 2013 or, most recently, Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich last summer.

The Englishman is a modern Spurs legend, but after almost a decade with the club, he did what some thought he'd never do and left the Premier League altogether in search of his first major trophy.

The only positive to come from his exit for the Lilywhites was that he earned them one of the biggest transfer fees in their history, although based on recent reports, they could be set to make even more on one of their current stars.

Harry Kane's transfer

When the final agreements were made and the last contracts signed, Kane's transfer cost Bayern an initial £82m, although the add-ons could reportedly see that figure soar past £100m, and based on his performances last season, we wouldn't be surprised if it already has.

Now, that might seem like an awful lot of money for a player who was 30 years old and entering the final year of his contract at the time, but given his incredible form for the seasons prior and his undeniable importance to the Lilywhites, it was probably fair value.

For example, in the season before he left, the England captain scored a whopping 32 goals and provided five assists in 49 appearances for a Spurs team that looked utterly hopeless at times under Antonio Conte.

Moreover, when you factor in that he went on to score 44 goals and provide 12 assists in just 45 games for Bayern last season, his transfer fee starts to look very reasonable indeed.

Overall, while it was arguably fair value, Kane's transfer fee was undeniably sizeable.

However, according to recent reports, a player in Postecoglou's squad could dwarf it if he were sold this summer.

Cristian Romero's valuation in 2024

Yes, the player in question is one of Tottenham's co-vice captains, Cristian Romero.

The World Cup winner was reportedly of interest to European giants Real Madrid earlier this summer, but little seemed to come from said interest.

However, according to Paul O'Keefe on the Last Word on Spurs Podcast (via TEAMtalk), Madrid are still keen on the talented centre-back but have been told that they'll need to make a mammoth offer of £150m to secure his services.

If this were to happen, it would instantly be the biggest transfer in the history of the Premier League, and while it's an undeniably ludicrous sum of money, it reflects how important the 26-year-old is to the North Londoners.

Since making his £42m move from Serie A side Atalanta in August 2021, the "incredible" defender, as journalist Alasdair Gold dubbed him, has made 98 appearances for the Lilywhites, in which he's scored six goals and provided one assist.

He's also been described as "the best defender in the world" by Lionel Messi, and if there is a player who knows a thing or two about defenders - and how to embarrass them - it's probably him.

Ultimately, while Bale and Kane are the two most expensive outgoings in Spurs' history, there is a chance, albeit a small one, that Romero could surpass them this summer. That said, Tottenham's plan to dissuade Madrid with an enormous asking price will probably work.

Potential bid: Spurs target "monster" £50m Solanke upgrade

It's been a relatively positive summer for Tottenham Hotspur so far this year, with four wins out of five in pre-season and the progressive signings of Archie Gray and South Korean youngster Yang Min-Hyeok.

However, if Ange Postecoglou is going to achieve his goals in North London and lead the club back up the Premier League table next season, he will need more firepower in his team.

The good news is that Daniel Levy and Co seem to share this opinion. Over the last week or so, the club has been linked to several exciting strikers, particularly Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke.

However, recent reports have suggested the North Londoners are just as interested in another quality number nine who may be an upgrade on the Cherries ace.

Tottenham Hotspur striker search

According to a recent report from TEAMtalk, alongside Solanke, Tottenham are currently 'chasing' Brentford's Ivan Toney this summer.

The report claims that the Bees ace is available 'at the right price' and that the Lilywhites could lodge a bid for the striker in the coming weeks.

There is no mention of how much he could cost the North Londoners, but reports from earlier this summer revealed that, due to his contract expiring next year, he could be available for £50m or less.

It would still require a significant fee, but given Toney's record in the Premier League, he's worth splashing the cash on, and he'd be a better signing than Solanke.

How Toney compares to Solanke

So, if Tottenham's choice this summer is between Toney and Solanke, who should they sign? And how do they compare?

Well, the pair's output over the last couple of seasons is a little hard to compare given the Brentford star's eight-month betting ban last season, but even so, when it comes down to goal involvements per appearance, he comfortably beats out the Cherries ace.

For example, when combining the last two campaigns, the "unplayable" 28-year-old, as dubbed by Alan Shearer, has scored 25 goals and provided seven assists in 52 appearances, which equates to an impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.62 games, despite coming back into last season without any real preparation.

In contrast, the former Chelsea ace has scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists in 77 appearances, equating to an average goal involvement every 1.97 games.

Okay, how about their underlying numbers across the last two seasons, then? Is it another easy win for the Brentford ace when we look under the hood?

Indeed, in every relevant metric, the Northampton-born "monster," as dubbed by manager Thomas Frank, comes out ahead, including non-penalty expected goals plus assists, actual non-penalty goals plus assists.

He's also ahead for progressive passes and carries, highlighting his ability to get possession up the pitch, shots and shots on target, shot and goal-creating actions and aerial duels won, all per 90.

A carry is considered progressive if the ball is moved towards the opponent's goal at least 10 yards from its starting point or is carried into the penalty area.

Ultimately, while both strikers would surely bring more goals to Spurs next season, Toney would be the better signing. Even when including his entirely unusual campaign last season, he comes out ahead of Solanke in every measurable comparison.

Therefore, Levy and Co must do what they can to bring the Brentford star to N17 this summer.

Talks underway: Spurs pushing for "dream" Johnson teammate in £60m star

The upcoming season is set to be a massive one for Tottenham Hotspur as Ange Postecoglou looks to build on his first year in the hot seat and lead the North Londoners back into the Champions League.

However, with the clubs in and around the Lilywhites strengthening this summer, Daniel Levy and Co must act swiftly to ensure they bring in some more quality additions to the first team before the transfer window slams shut.

The good news is that it appears as if that's precisely what they're doing, as the latest star touted for a move to N17 would be a real game-changer and someone who could form a brilliant partnership with one of last summer's pricey signings, Brennan Johnson.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from transfers expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are "pushing" to secure a deal for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

The Italian has claimed that the clubs are currently negotiating a potential deal following the "green light" from the Englishman.

Romano does not mention a potential price, but a separate report late last week revealed that the Cherries may be willing to accept £60m for their star striker this summer.

Signing Solanke would undoubtedly represent a significant investment for Tottenham, but given his incredible form last season and the fact that he could be brilliant alongside Johnson, it may be one worth making.

Why Solanke would be a great signing for Johnson

So, the reason Solanke would be a "dream" signing, as dubbed by former manager Gary O'Neil, for both Tottenham and Johnson, specifically, is the same: his output.

Postecoglou had his team playing some tremendously entertaining attacking football at points last season, but come the end of the campaign, six teams had scored more goals than them, which indicates that there is a finishing problem within the squad.

This problem is borne out in the squad's statistics, as out of the entire team, only Son Heung-min and Richarlison scored over ten goals, despite the plethora of talented wingers in the team, such as the former Nottingham Forest ace.

So, if the North Londoners could introduce a clinical finisher into the team, they may see their collective goal tally and the assist tally of their creative players increase, and the Cherries ace could be that clinical number nine.

For example, in his 42 appearances for the South Coast club last season, he scored 21 goals and provided four assists, meaning he averaged a goal involvement every 1.68 games.

This tally would have made him Spurs' top goalscorer and second most productive player overall, so imagine how much more effective he would've been playing alongside a player like Johnson, who managed to rack up ten assists despite his teammates' finishing problems.

Ultimately, signing Solanke is going to cost Tottenham a pretty penny, but to make the most out of Postecoglou's progressive system, they need a clear focal point in attack, and that is precisely what the Englishman would provide them. Therefore, Levy and Co should do everything possible to get this deal over the line.

Lange could table Spurs bids for both Solanke and £60m "playmaker" forward

Tottenham, lead by transfer chief and technical director Johan Lange this window, could soon table bids for both Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke and another £60 million forward.

Spurs in market for new striker to replace Kane and Richarlison

Despite his impressive mid-season purple patch, and how he ended 2023/2024 as Spurs' second top scorer behind Son Heung-min, it is believed chairman Daniel Levy is ready to part company with Richarlison - just two years after signing him from Everton for around £60 million.

Reliable transfer journalist Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport shared news last week that Tottenham are determined to find a buyer for Richarlison this window, with Fabrizio Romano then claiming the Lilywhites are actively pursuing a new number nine.

Ange Postecoglou could see a new winger arrive at N17 before deadline day on August 30 as well, but the consensus is that bringing in a fresh centre-forward option is the priority for Spurs right now, leading to their interest in Bournemouth's Solanke.

Postecoglou is said to be driving a Spurs move for Solanke, with the Englishman also open to making the switch to north London (GiveMeSport). The Cherries ace scored 21 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth last season, standing out as Andoni Iraola's star player.

His contract has a £65 million release clause, as widely reported, so it will be interesting to see if Spurs will come close to matching that figure or attempt a deal for the 26-year-old at a far lesser price.

While Solanke hit double figures last season and has proven Premier League pedigree, he is by no means the only option considered to bolster Tottenham's forward line. As the search continues for a striker who can replace both Harry Kane and potentially Richarlison, another player they continue to admire is Brentford's Ivan Toney.

The England international scored 20 league goals under Thomas Frank the season before last, and he's said to be valued at around £60 million according to some reports.

Tottenham could make bids for both Solanke and Toney

According to TEAMtalk and journalist Rudy Galetti, Tottenham could table bids for both Solanke and Toney before deadline day, as Lange attempts to get a prolific new talisman over the line.

There have been suggestions that Toney is very keen on a move to Spurs this summer, so this could be a deal worth pursuing, especially as his contract expires just next year - which could give Postecoglou's side some leverage in negotiations.

It's going to be a big campaign for Tottenham Hotspur next season as they look to push on in the Premier League, put in a better showing in the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League.

In his first year with the Lilywhites, Ange Postecoglou showed that he has what it takes to lead a 'big six' club, although if he wants to achieve all of his goals in North London, he'll need Daniel Levy and Co to support him in the market.

Luckily, it appears that is happening, as the last couple of weeks have seen the club linked with several top-class centre-forwards, with Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke being a particularly strong link.

The Englishman didn't make it into Gareth Southgate's England squad for the Euros, but after an incredible season last year, you can't deny his goalscoring ability.

However, if he does make his way to N17 in the coming weeks, he'll need to hit the ground running to see his value surpass that of another left-footed superstar who just missed out on the Euros this summer.

The latest on Solanke to Spurs

Now, while the Lilywhites have been linked with plenty of other talented number nines in recent days, from Napoli's Victor Osimhen to LOSC Lille's Jonathan David, it does appear that Solanke is currently the one they are most likely to sign.

For example, a report from late last week claimed that the North Londoners were in talks with the Englishman's camp and were 'prepared to test Bournemouth and the player's resolve with a €50m offer', which converts to about £43m.

Another story from the start of this week claimed that the club was set to make an offer to the Cherries that involved one of their own players and a cash sum of £50m.

While there seems to be a consensus that an offer is in the works, the actual price of the former Chelsea prospect is still in the air, especially as other reports have claimed the South Coast club want as much as £60m.

Whatever the final fee Spurs have to pay ends up being, it'll likely be sizeable, and based on the 26-year-old's performances last season, that would be entirely reasonable.

For example, in 42 appearances, he found the back of the net on 21 occasions and provided four assists to boot, equating to an average of a goal involvement every 1.68 games.

However, he'll have to recreate those numbers or do even better in North London if he wants to see his future valuation surpass that of one of his potential new teammates.

James Maddison's valuation in 2024

Yes, the player in question is Tottenham co-vice captain James Maddison.

The former Leicester City star is valued at a whopping €75m by FotMob, which converts to about £65m.

Last season might not have been easy for the 27-year-old, with his exclusion from the England squad leaving him "devastated," but there is no denying his quality.

For example, in 30 appearances for the Lilywhites, he's scored four goals and provided nine assists, which equates to an impressive average of a goal involvement every 2.30 games.

Moreover, his underlying numbers are just as impressive.

FBref, which compares players in similar positions across Europe's top five leagues, places him in the top 1% of attacking midfielders and wingers for shot-creating actions and progressive passes, the top 2% for attempted passes, and the top 7% for assists, all per 90.

Ultimately, Solanke would be an excellent signing for Spurs this summer, and his combination with Maddison, who is justifiably valued so highly, could be the key to the club's future success.

Bid incoming: Spurs target £50m goal machine who'd revive Kulusevski

It's set to be a big campaign for Tottenham Hotspur next season, as Ange Postecoglou has had a year to settle into life in the Premier League, and fans will be looking to him to guide the team back into the Champions League at the second time of asking.

However, to do that, he needs Daniel Levy and Co to do their jobs in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window, as at the moment, they have not sufficiently improved the Australian's squad.

Fortunately, reports suggest that the club are working hard to bring in the right players, one of whom could be a real game-changer for the club and help bring the best out of some of their players, including Dejan Kulusevski.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have intensified their interest in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and are ready to make an offer for his services.

The report claims that the Lilywhites are prepared to offer £50m plus a player to help 'sweeten the deal', which could be one of Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Djed Spence or Alejo Veliz.

This is an ambitious move, as previous reports suggested that the Cherries wanted £65m for their star striker and nothing less.

That said, even at this newer price, this transfer would still represent a significant investment from Spurs, but given Solanke's form last season, it is probably worth making, especially as he could help revive some of the club's other attacking players, such as Kulusevski.

Why Solanke would be a great dream for Kulusevski

Now, when it boils down to it, there is one primary reason Solanke could help get the best back out of Kulusevski next season: his output.

Only two Tottenham players, Son Heung-min and Richarlison, scored more than ten goals across all competitions last season, which means that the club's wingers were starved of an effective goalscorer to play off down the middle.

We can see this regarding the Swedish international from Understat's data, as they have him down as underperforming his expected assists figure in the league by a massive 5.62, whereas last season, when Harry Kane was in the team, he overperformed by 1.52.

So, if the Lilywhites could introduce a Premier League-proven out-and-out number nine into the squad, then we could expect to see the former Juventus ace's assist tally start to creep back up, and luckily, in Solanke, they could have exactly that.

For example, in just 42 appearances for the Cherries last season, the "predatory" marksman, as dubbed by former professional Kris Boyd, scored 21 goals and provided four assists, equating to an impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.68 games.

Moreover, this haul saw him finish joint-fourth in the Premier League's top scorer list and would have been enough to make him the Lilywhites' top goalscorer.

Ultimately, Tottenham need a clinical number nine to move up the table next season, and Kulusevski needs one to get on the end of the chances he creates, and while he might not have the reputation of some of the other strikers on the market at the moment, Solanke has proven that he has what it takes to score bags of goals in the Premier League.

Therefore, Levy and Co should do what they can to ensure this deal gets over the line.

Postecoglou driving Tottenham move for "dream" Richarlison replacement

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is personally driving his club's pursuit to sign a "dream" replacement for Richarlison before summer deadline day.

Spurs aim to sell Richarlison and replace him with new striker

Multiple reports from the last week have indicated that Richarlison may not be a Spurs player beyond August 30, which is when the English transfer window will officially close.

According to reliable GiveMeSport reporter Ben Jacobs, Tottenham are determined to sell Richarlison, amid interest from the Saudi Pro League, with fellow respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claiming Spurs are actively looking for a new striker.

After a regrettable debut campaign in north London under ex-boss Antonio Conte, Richarlison bagged 12 goals in all competitions last season, finishing 2023/2024 as their second top scorer behind superstar Son Heung-min.

The 27-year-old, signed from Everton for around £60 million in the summer of 2022, enjoyed a very impressive mid-season purple patch which hugely contributed to his end-of-season haul.

Richarlison racked up nine goals in eight Premier League games from December last year through to February, but despite his flashes of brilliance, Spurs are prepared to offload the South American and bring in a successor.

As the ex-Watford ace's future hangs in the balance, reports have centered around which names could come to Spurs in his stead. These targets would also have the task of replacing Harry Kane, who departed Tottenham for Bayern Munich in a multi-million pound deal last year.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been described as keen on a move to Spurs, according to media outlets like talkSPORT, but it is Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke making more headlines right now.

The former Liverpool striker, who scored 21 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth last season, is a star player for the Cherries, and it would be a big blow for Andoni Iraola to lose him.

Bournemouth may well be powerless if Spurs or any other club decide to trigger the £65 million release clause in his contract, but some media sources like TEAMtalk believe Tottenham chiefs think that they can do a deal for Solanke at around £60 million.

Postecoglou driving Tottenham move for Solanke

GiveMeSport have an update on the situation this week, and they claim Postecoglou is personally driving Tottenham's move for Solanke, who is believed to be open to this potential transfer.

GMS have different information to previous reports about his price tag, though, as Spurs apparently value Solanke at around £50 million - despite the player hitting double figures last season and still having three more years left on his contract.

The Lilywhites may well find themselves paying a higher fee than £50 million because of this, we believe, but it's clear as day why Tottenham are now very keen on the 26-year-old.

“He’s a dream," said ex-Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil. "As a center forward, I think sometimes his work can go unnoticed because it's difficult to score goals at this level.

“But I'm so pleased he get his goal because you ask him to press, he presses, you ask him to do stuff in possession. He does it, he literally does everything he can. Probably the hardest working centre-forward I've ever seen."

Talks held: Spurs target "mind-blowing" £25m star who's better than Solanke

Description

It's been an interesting summer for Tottenham Hotspur so far. With four wins out of five in pre-season and the exciting signings of Archie Gray and Yang Min-Hyeok, fans have a lot to be happy about.

Still, with less than two weeks until the Premier League returns and less than a month until the transfer window closes, there is a feeling that Ange Postecoglou's squad has not been adequately reinforced.

That said, the club has been heavily linked to Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke in the last few days, who could be a brilliant addition to the LilyWhites frontline.

However, Daniel Levy and Co must be hard at work as the name of another exciting striker has once again been linked to the North Londoners, and he's probably an upgrade on the Englishman.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from Caught Offside, Tottenham have maintained their interest in LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David.

In fact, the report claims that things have progressed beyond simple interest, as it has revealed that the North Londoners have 'recently held talks with contacts close to the Ligue 1 ace'.

The story does not mention a potential price, but a report from Football Insider last month revealed that he could be available for as little as £25m, mostly due to his £27k-per-week contract expiring next summer.

It's still a sizable fee, but considering Solanke could cost up to £65m and the pair's form over the last couple of seasons, signing David would make far more sense.

How David compares to Solanke

Now, when it comes down to it, the most critical metric for any striker is their raw output, so if Spurs are considering both of these stars, who comes out on top in this regard?

In his 42 appearances for Bournemouth last season, Solanke scored 21 goals and provided four assists, maintaining an impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.68 games for the Cherries.

However, in his 47 appearances for Lille last season, David scored 26 goals and provided nine assists, meaning he maintained an even more impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.34 games for Les Dogues.

Unfortunately for the former Chelsea man, he still comes out as a clear second-best, even in the season prior, with seven goals and seven assists in 35 appearances, equating to a goal involvement every 2.5 games.

In contrast, the "mind-blowing" 24-year-old, as dubbed by talent scout Jacek Kulig, scored 26 goals and provided four assists in 40 appearances, meaning he averaged a goal involvement every 1.33 games.

It's not just in raw output that the Brooklyn-born poacher comes out on top, but also their underlying numbers.

For example, in practically every relevant metric, the former Gent ace ranks far better, including non-penalty expected goals plus assists, actual non-penalty goals plus assists, progressive passes and carries, shots on target, passing accuracy, shot and goal-creating actions, and key passes, all per 90.

In his defence, the former Liverpool forward does come out on top for shots and aerial duels won per 90, but that really is about it.

Ultimately, while Solanke wouldn't be a terrible signing, he's notably worse than David in both their output and underlying numbers. Therefore, Levy and Co should do what they can to sign the Canadian this summer, especially as he could be available for less than half the price of the Bournemouth man.

Sky pundit thrilled as Tottenham offered "statement signing" with Solanke

A Sky Sports pundit has been left thrilled by reports that Tottenham could make a "real statement signing", alongside their chase for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham target new striker and winger before deadline day

Last week, reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano shared news that Spurs are in the market for a new striker, and potentially a new winger, depending on the opportunities available in the coming weeks.

Romano also broke the news that Tottenham are exploring a move to sign Solanke from Bournemouth as an option to replace Harry Kane, and maybe Richarlison, with the Brazil international up for sale amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

Spurs are apparently determined to sell Richarlison this summer as manager Ange Postecoglou continues to rebuild the squad, according to GiveMeSport, who also claim that Ivan Toney is another striking option for the recruitment team.

Rumours surrounding a move for Solanke are starting to heat up, though, coming after the Englishman bagged 21 goals across 42 appearances in all competitions last season.

TEAMtalk reported last week that Solanke wants to join Tottenham this summer, and the Lilywhites have held talks with his representatives. The outlet also stated that Tottenham believe they can sign the former Liverpool prodigy for £5 million less than his £65 million release clause, which would still be a costly operation.

Chairman Daniel Levy, technical director Johan Lange and the wider recruitment team may need to weigh up their most astute possible options for out-wide if they do press ahead with a move for Solanke, and one name who's repeatedly linked is Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

The Italian, who's entered the final 12 months of his deal, could be available for as little as £21.5-25.8 million (TMW). Tottenham have been offered Chiesa by his agents, who've reached out for talks with multiple Premier League clubs.

Indeed, Spurs have apparently been speaking with his camp over a potential move, according to reports in Italy, which also suggest that Tottenham are favourites to sign Chiesa this summer as well.

Paul Robinson thrilled as Spurs eye "statement" Chiesa signing

Speaking to Tottenham News, Sky pundit and ex-Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson says Chiesa would be a "real statement signing" for Spurs - urging Levy and co to sign the 26-year-old.

“If Daniel Levy can bring a player like that into the squad, it would be incredible. It would be a real statement signing. Chiesa is still only 26 years old. Look at what he did for Italy at the Euros," said Robinson.

“He’s not a prolific goalscorer but, with his creativity in the final third, if you have the opportunity pick up a player like that from Juventus for £25million, you go into the market and try to get him.

“He’s a top-quality forward and he’d be an incredible signing for Tottenham. I also think he’d relish the challenge of the Premier League at this stage in his career, as it would bring him to another level."
