Description

Serie A club Bologna ‘have asked’ Tottenham Hotspur about winger Bryan Gil, who is ‘ready to leave’ the north London side this summer.

The north London club paid a chunky £21.6m back in the summer of 2021 from Sevilla, when he was very highly rated at the Spanish side and considered a top up and coming wing talent.

However, he never managed to establish himself at the club, with some concerns about struggling with the intensity and physicality of the Premier League, and has been loaned out three times.

He has managed only 43 appearances for Tottenham in his four-year stay at the club and is unlikely to be a first choice pick if he stays put.

Gil’s injury issues have been persistent over the years, but he had a spell on loan at Girona last season and they have looked at signing him, only for a lower price however.

Celta Vigo have also looked at a move to land Gil this summer, but the Spanish side would need the Spurs man to help the move happen because they too think the costs are too high.

Now, an Italian club have joined the race for the Spaniard, as Bologna have Gil on their radar.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Rossoblu ‘have asked’ about the Spanish attacker’s situation and the winger is ‘ready to leave’ Tottenham.

His contract expires next summer and if Spurs are not able to offload him now, they will be at risk of losing him for free.

The five-time Spain-capped attacking midfielder is not in Thomas Frank’s plans and Gil also wants to end his forgettable Tottenham stint.

Now, Spurs will hope to advance on Gil’s deal with Bologna in the coming days, with less than three weeks remaining in the transfer window.

Club legend Heung-min Son’s departure has brought in some cash and they will hope to add Gil to that list to boost their kitty as they look to introduce fresh faces further.

Newly promoted Bundesliga side Hamburg are waiting for the ‘green light’ from Tottenham Hotspur to loan in promising defender Luka Vuskovic.

The Croatian central defender is extremely highly rated at only 18 and already has a handful of top-flight appearances in Belgium to his name through a loan spell at Westerlo.

Spurs see him as a top player for the future, but believe that he is not ready to play to be slotted into the first team just yet.

The teenage defender has been made available on loan and German side Hamburg have emerged as a top destination for him.

Last week, it was revealed that the Croatia defender has opened up to joining Hamburg in principle, if Spurs agree to let him go.

And now Die Rothosen are waiting for Tottenham’s permission to let Vuskovic join them for the upcoming season, according to German sports magazine Kicker.

Vuskovic and Hamburg are keen on completing a deal and will only need the final green light from Spurs to go ahead.

Back in June, he made his senior Croatia debut, as he showed his quality playing in the Belgian top flight for Westerlo.

Vuskovic featured in 36 games last season for the Belgian club and chipped in with a stunning ten goal involvements despite being a centre-back.

His feats at Westerlo were even hailed by the Belgian club’s vice president, who admitted they were dreaming of keeping him for longer.

Spurs have signed him on a contract until 2030 and they will be judging before sending him to Hamburg to ensure that he will have the opportunity to develop there.

Now it remains to be seen if other clubs will come for him, or if he will be heading to Germany to play with with brother at Hamburg in the upcoming campaign.

A move to Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester City for attacker Savinho is ‘absolutely on’, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs are trying to step up their transfer business and deliver for Thomas Frank before the window closes, with missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White a big blow for the club.

Tottenham are interested in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, but though Los Blancos are prepared to sell, Liverpool are the Brazilian’s first choice, while he could yet even stay at the Bernabeu.

They are now moving for Manchester City winger Savinho, having opened talks and sent a bid worth €50m.

Pep Guardiola’s side want that sum to be increased and are open to selling the winger if their price is met.

Negotiations are now happening and the player is prepared to make the move to Tottenham if a deal can be agreed.

A potential deal is described as ‘absolutely on’ as Tottenham push to take the 21-year-old to north London.

Savinho made the move to Manchester City from French side Troyes for a fee of £30m just last summer.

He ended the campaign with a total of 48 appearances to his name, including three in the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this summer.

In those games, Savinho chipped in with 13 assists and scored three times.

Now Manchester City could be in line to make a quick profit on the winger, who is able to operate both on the right flank or the left flank.

He started in both Manchester City’s Premier League games against Tottenham last season, giving Spurs a good opportunity to get an up close look at him in action.

Savinho is a product of Atletico Mineiro’s youth set-up and has been capped 13 times by Brazil.

Oxford United boss Gary Rowett has expressed his delight with the signing of Tottenham Hotspur striker Will Lankshear, calling him a player who knows his way to goal.

The U’s secured the services of Lankshear for the season, after agreeing a loan with Tottenham last week.

In the 2023/24 season, Lankshear managed to score 25 goals in 27 appearances across the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, earning plaudits for his ability in front of goal.

He was even handed minutes in the Europa League and the Premier League, by former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

Lankshear’s physical attributes were ones that Rowett noticed and the Oxford United boss feels he is a robust and speedy goalscorer, who can make an impact in the Championship.

Oxford United had to battle other clubs to land Lankshear, who was on loan at West Brom for the second half of last term.

Rowlett told Oxford United’s official website: “Will is an athletic, strong, quick goalscorer and someone who we feel can make an immediate impact.

“He has an outstanding record at youth level with club and country. He knows the way to goal, and we hope he can add those qualities to our team.

“With Nik Prelec and Will added to the squad in recent days, we are really pleased with the work that has been done to strengthen the forward line for the new season.”

Lankshear started on Saturday for Oxford United when Portsmouth visited in the Championship.

He was though unable to help the U’s to avoid slipping to a 1-0 defeat against Portsmouth.

Spurs will be closely monitoring Lankshear’s progress, hoping that he will be ready for the Premier League come the start of next season, and if that happens, the U’s will have been well served too.

It was a message from Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany which led to Joao Palhinha deciding to leave for Tottenham Hotspur.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder joined Bayern Munich from Fulham in the summer of 2024 after the Bundesliga giants paid a hefty transfer fee to acquire his services from the Cottagers.

However, his life in Bavaria did not go as he planned, as he only managed to make 17 appearances in the Bundesliga, while starting just six games.

During the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup he was part of the Bayern Munich squad that travelled to the USA, but he only featured for 45 minutes throughout the tournament.

During the ongoing window, Tottenham came calling for him to take him back to the Premier League on a season-long loan and eventually Palhinha opened up to the move.

Spurs managed to come to an agreement with the German outfit on a loan with an option to make it permanent if Palhinha manages to impress.

A quick deal was made possible by a message conveyed to the Portuguese from Bayern Munich boss Kompany after the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to German outlet FCB Inside, Bayern Munich told Palhinha that he was no longer in the plans of their coach, Kompany.

The club signed Tom Biscoff from Hoffenheim in the ongoing window which made the message loud and clear to the Portuguese that he was no longer needed.

Palhinha, after a difficult first season, wanted to fight for his place in the team, but decided Tottenham will be the right place to advance his career.

And now with James Maddison set to miss the majority of the season, Thomas Frank will need the 30-year-old midfielder to step up even more.

Portsmouth boss John Mousinho feels that Tottenham Hotspur talent Yang Min-hyeok, who has joined on loan, is ‘direct and exciting’ and admits having watched him in the flesh last term.

Yang is set to spend the season on loan at Portsmouth after Tottenham decided the next part of his development will be best served with Pompey in the Championship.

He arrived at Tottenham earlier this year from South Korean side Gangwon FC and was instantly sent on loan to QPR to see out the season.

Mousinho made a trip to take in a QPR game to see Yang in action and is of the view that he has bags of potential.

The manager recalled that it was a privilege to witness Yang live in a match against Derby County and noted that Tottenham have high expectations of what the 19-year-old attacker can achieve.

Mousinho told Portsmouth’s official website: “I remember having the privilege of watching him live in a Friday night game against Derby when he performed so well in a 4-0 victory before coming down to Fratton Park a week later.

“It’s been a whirlwind few months for Yang since he arrived in England and we’re excited to have him at Pompey.

“We believe he’s a real prospect and know that Tottenham think highly of him, so this is the next part of his development.”

Then QPR boss Marti Cifuentes incidentally also heaped praise on Yang for his performance in the game against Derby, noting his view that the Tottenham talent was very good going forward.

Mousinho has been left with the same impression and added that Yang is direct and exciting.

The Portsmouth boss said: “He’s direct and exciting in the way that he plays and can really help us achieve what we’re looking for this season.”

The Spurs man made his Pompey debut on Saturday when he came on off the bench in a 1-0 win at Oxford United – that saw him come up against another Tottenham loan star in Will Lankshear.

Yang has already made his international debut for South Korea after coming on in the second half to play with Tottenham legend Heung-Min Son.

Tottenham and Portsmouth will hope for a positive loan spell, while Yang will want to use this season as a launchpad to eventually continue the South Korean legacy at Spurs with Son now departed.

Tottenham Loan Star's Flexibility Impresses Preston Boss - Inside Futbol
Description

Preston North End manager Paul Heckingbottom believes that Tottenham Hotspur loan star Alfie Devine has that flexibility which the team need and his addition is great for the club.

The 21-year-old playmaker, a product of Tottenham’s youth academy, signed a new contract with the London-based club on Friday before moving out to the Championship for the upcoming season.

The move is his fourth loan spell away from his parent club, with the last being at Belgian Pro League club Westerlo.

At Westerlo, he played 32 matches, scoring six goals and setting up one more for his team-mates, impressing the Preston boss in the process.

Expressing his delight with the acquisition, Heckingbottom highlighted that Devine is someone who raises his stock with the ability to play in multiple positions on the pitch.

It is the 21-year-old’s flexibility that is going to make him a great addition for the Preston team, the manager insists.

“Alfie’s a talented player who can play in a number of positions”, Heckingbottom told his club’s official website.

“He can play as an attacking midfielder, he can play deep and he’s played box-to-box, so he’s got that flexibility which is great for us.

“I really liked his loan move in Belgium last year, where he showed really good energy and appetite off the ball, which is what we demand.

“He showed his technique and quality in the final third to get goals and help assist others as well.”

Though Devine has managed just two senior appearances for Tottenham, he has already opened his goalscoring account for the senior team.

The midfielder will be in contention for selection for Preston’s first game of the new season against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday in the Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur talent Yang Min-hyeok’s loan move to Championship club Portsmouth is expected to be announced today, according to journalist Chris Wise.

Last summer, Spurs agreed to sign the young attacker on a six-year deal from South Korean side Gangwon FC and he was marked out as a top prospect for the future.

The 19-year-old came to the club mid-season and was loaned out to Queens Park Rangers for the rest of the campaign.

He scored twice and clocked one assist in 14 games for the Championship side and Tottenham believe that he needs further experience playing first-team football in the second tier.

And now the South Korea international is set for another loan spell in the Championship as Portsmouth are set to get their hands on him.

On Thursday, Yang completed his medical tests ahead of the Pompey move and all the paperwork is now done to finalise the move.

As such, Portsmouth are expected to announce the loan capture of the top Tottenham talent at some point today.

Spurs have lost their South Korean talisman, Heung-min Son, who has left the club for American MLS side LAFC.

Min-hyeok is one of a multiple of high-rated teenagers at the north London club who are set to be loaned out.

Croatian centre-back Luka Vuskovic has also been made available for loan and there is a chance he could go to Germany with Hamburg.

Ashley Phillips has been sent back to Stoke City for another loan spell, flagging unfinished business at the club, and has been joined in the Potteries by Jamie Donley.

Both could have the task of stopping Tottenham team-mate Yang this season when Stoke play Portsmouth.

‘Very Shortly’ – Championship Side Expected To Win Race For Tottenham Midfielder

Rivals for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alfie Devine expect to see Preston North End win the race ‘very shortly’, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The highly rated Spurs starlet spent last term away from north London on loan in Belgium at Westerlo.

He admitted during the spell away that Tottenham were such a presence for him during his loan stint that he still felt involved with the first team.

Following the success of his loan in Belgium, a number of sides have been chasing Devine and he has big interest from the Championship.

However, the race may soon be coming to an end as one of Preston’s rivals in the chase fully expect Devine to end up at Deepdale.

His camp have a good relationship with Preston and that could well tip matters over the edge in favour of the north west side.

Spurs will want to make sure that wherever Devine goes he is playing on a regular basis to continue his development.

Preston could fit the bill on that front as they aim to have a season free of worries about relegation in the Championship.

Paul Heckingbottom’s men are due to open the campaign by heading to Loftus Road to take on QPR this Saturday.

Whether Preston can get the deal done in time for Devine to be available to feature in that match in the capital is open to question.

The midfielder is keen to continue to make progress in the game and admitted last year to having been starstruck when he saw the likes of Luis Suarez when he was a ball-boy.

Devine is from the north west and spent time in the youth set-up at Liverpool and Wigan Athletic before he was tempted down to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 21-year-old has had two other loan spells besides his Westerlo stint, spending time at Port Vale and Plymouth Argyle.

Tottenham Distance Themselves From Talk Of Offer For Nico Paz - Inside Futbol
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have distanced themselves from talk of placing a bid for Como attacking midfielder Nico Paz.

Spurs are in the market for more additions across a number of positions and the urgency with which the require an attacking midfielder has increased.

James Maddison has suffered a cruciate ligament injury which means he has been written off for the majority of the new season.

It has been suggested that Tottenham are looking at several targets and among them is Como’s 20-year-old attacking midfielder Paz.

The former Real Madrid academy product had a fantastic last season with Como, where he featured in 35 league games while laying on nine assists and netting five goals.

Paz is a player who is highly rated at Como and the Italian outfit want to keep him at the club.

It has been suggested that Tottenham have been quick to submit a bid in the region of €40m to Como and have seen it getting rejected.

Club Years Real Madrid 2022-2024 Como 2024- Nico Paz’s career history

The Italian outfit paid a €6m transfer fee to sign Paz from Real Madrid last summer and they have slapped a €70m asking price on his head to fend off potential suitors.

Despite talk of a bid, Tottenham have denied having made one, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.

Paz is a versatile player who can play as a winger and centre forward as well, which he displayed last season for Cesc Fabregas’ side.

Spurs pulled off the early capture of Mohammed Kudus this summer and have recently also completed the loan capture of Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich.

Now with the beginning of the new season on the horizon, they will be desperate to find someone capable who will be able to replace Maddison.
