Tottenham Hotspur have been looking at potential players that can replace Richarlison as an understudy striker to Dominic Solanke, and Everton centre-forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been among the names that the North Londoners are potentially vying for in a bid to bring the Englishman to White Hart Lane.

Richy has endured a difficult spell in North London and has found himself a consistent presence in the treatment room, while his displays when on the pitch haven’t been near the expectations of when Daniel Levy forked out £60 million to land his services. The Brazilian has only found the back of the net 16 times in 71 appearances donning the Spurs badge, and the chefs at Hotspur Way are pondering possibilities of moving on from the former Watford star.

Tottenham linked with January move for Everton’s Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin can follow in the footsteps of Richarlison in moving to Hotspur Way from Goodison Park, and his experience in the English top flight can help Ange Postecoglou not only add the depth but also the quality that Spurs are seeking.

DCL has been renowned for his physical presence and aerial ability leading the offensive line, and he would not only offer an alternative but could also be a complement to Solanke’s style of play when the Lilywhites are trailing, much like in yesterday’s game against Crystal Palace.

Calvert-Lewin’s contract with Everton comes due at the end of the ongoing season, and to avoid the 1997-born striker leaving on a free transfer, the Merseyside Blues are ready to sanction a January transfer for the striker, per Juve Live, and Daniel Levy will be among the suitors looking to take advantage of the situation and land him on a bargain deal.

Tottenham honcho Daniel Levy eyeing £16m Arsenal raid

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to revamp their goalkeeping department, and they are reportedly looking to sign highly acclaimed shotstopper Karl Hein within Arsenal’s ranks.

Daniel Levy has been on a run of making some splendid signings, and he could pull a rabbit out of the hat with this one as the North Londoners pursue a move for the 22-year-old, per Fichajes, with the Gunners holding out for a fee in the intervals of £12-16.6 million for the 22-year-old.

The Lilywhites aren’t alone in pursuit of his signatures with Premier League’s high-spending heavyweights. Chelsea is also looking to sign the Gunners Hale End academy graduate, who is currently impressing in his loan spell at Real Valladolid CF in the Spanish top division.

Levy set to shock Arsenal with Hein raid?

The North Londoners have Guglielmo Vicario as an undisputed figure in between the sticks, and despite links with a move away from White Hart Lane, it doesn’t look like that would be changing anytime soon. However, there is a back-up concern at Hotspur Way with Farser Foster on the wrong side of the thirties and that Ange Postecoglou would be looking to change that going into the 2025 transfer intervals.

However, it is to be seen if it’s Hein or someone else. Arsenal selling a player to Tottenham is something you don’t see often, and moreover, Levy will also have to compete with Chelsea for a possible transfer. That being said, there is an opportunity to take. The Gunners have been linked with a move for a new backup goalkeeper, and with Raya being a presence with gloves, they could consider sanctioning a move for Hein.

That being said, everything is just rumours and talks at the moment; we will have to wait and see if Arsenal entertain any prospects of dealing with Levy and Tottenham.

Sky Sports pundit slams Ange Postecoglou's team selection vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur stars had a day to forget vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur were given a harsh reality check by Crystal Palace, who secured a 1-0 win at Selhurst Park on Sunday in the Premier League.

With the Lilywhites having won seven of their past eight matches, while the Eagles were winless in the Premier League, most people would have expected an away win. Ange Postecoglou’s white army were riding high on the back of wins over West Ham United and AZ Alkmaar but were pulled back on earth by a struggling Crystal Palace side, via a first-half strike from Jean-Philippe Mateta.

The result—a big setback to what we were building—has left Tottenham eighth in the table. Ange Postecoglou had made changes to his Spurs’ starting XI from the AZ Alkmaar win, handing Mikey Moore his first start in the Premier League. The teenage sensation had started in a front three alongside Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson.

In the aftermath, former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara questioned Ange Postecoglou’s team selection for such a tricky away fixture. He believes the Tottenham head coach should have stuck with the more experienced Timo Werner on the left flank.

Spurs were atrocious at Selhurst Park, laboured in passing, sluggish in movement, lacking invention and uninspiring in attack. None of our attacking players were bright, with young Mikey Moore failing to build on an impressive display against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League in midweek.

-> Tottenham midfield star tipped to struggle to find a place in Ange’s XI going forward

The Tottenham faithful were crying for Big Ange to start Moore in the Premier League and he obliged on Sunday, but the teenager couldn’t grab the opportunity with both hands. The Englishman is a big talent but fans must be patient with his development. Big Ange perhaps went a bit early starting the academy kid in a high-stakes London derby away from home.

It would be extremely harsh to criticise Moore as he is only 17 and learning the trade, especially when the entire Spurs team were awful. While Werner hasn’t set the world alight with his performances, O’Hara is right with his claim that Big Ange should’ve gone with the German on the left ahead of rookie Moore purely due to his experience and ability to cope with situations away from home.

Tottenham Hotspur have been subject to aggressive links with a move for Borussia Dortmund wide forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as the North Londoners look to compound on their offensive options going into the 2025 transfer intervals.

Daniel Levy has enjoyed a magnificent spell in transfer windows off late, and he is looking to continue getting some magnificent deals done in the upcoming year as he and the chiefs at Hotspur Way look to give Ange Postecoglou a set of rosters that he can compete with on the highest level.

Spurs eye Dortmund’s Bynoe-Gittens

The Lilywhites have been sending scouts to Signal Iduna Park on a consistent basis to keep a close look at the winter playing his trade in the German top tier. Tottenham have been accompanied by Chelsea in the audience. However, the 20-year-old will warrant a hefty price tag, with his current employers looking at a probable £83 million-plus fee for the forward.

And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King claims that Tottenham are monitoring Gittens alongside scouts from across European elite clubs. Speaking in an interview with Tottenham News, King said:

“Gittens is obviously progressing well with Dortmund.”

“English clubs are watching German clubs all the time. Now we have a German club which seems to have become a breeding ground for talented English players. Therefore, I imagine there will be a lot of analysts and scouts making the journey over to Dortmund. Gittens is definitely one to be monitored by Tottenham.”

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has shown the capacity to operate on the highest levels; however, it is difficult to signify if he warrants such hefty fees, a sum that no club is likely going to spend in the winter transfer window. However, if he is to continue his progress with Dortmund and take similar strides along the season, there should be a lot of clubs lining up for his signatures when the summer transfer window comes along.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Archie Gray has been subject to links with a loan move away from White Hart Lane as he struggles to find minutes under his belt for his new employers. The teenager moved to Spurs in the recently concluded summer transfer window when Daniel Levy and his team acted in the eleventh hour to secure his signatures from under Brentford’s noses.

Eyebrows were raised as the North Londoners paid £40m for his signatures; however, in doing so, Tottenham landed one of the most exciting upcoming players in English football.

Tottenham unlikely to loan Gray to Sevilla

Though as he looked to find a few minutes under his belt, Victor Orta, who played an important role in Archie’s upbringing at Leeds United and is now Sevilla’s current director of football, appeared keen to bring the teenager to the Spanish top tier to ascertain he finds regular minutes under his belt. Sevilla were said to be placing themselves in a position where they can land Gray on a loan deal in the winter window (h/t Mucho Deporte).

That being said, as per a recent report via. Estadio Deportivo, the Lilywhites teenager is not considered a realistic target for Sevilla. And the report goes on to explain that Spurs are expecting Gray to find plenty of game time in the stretch of the season, in turn making Sevilla’s chances to sign him very low.

There is also a claim about how Spurs would not consider loaning any player to Sevilla after their poor treatment of Alejo Veliz in the previous campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur have tweaked their transfer strategy off late as Daniel Levy now looks to bring highly regarded young players who can make an impact at White Hart Lane over the long term as the club nurtures them into their potential in the corridos of Hotspur Way, and this change of strategy has got the Lilywhites interested in some of the most highly rated talents in Europe and beyond.

The Lilywhites scouts are grinding out to find the right player who can make a difference at N17 in the years to come, and recently they are said to have identified an attacker who is getting supporters on the edge of their seats in Argentina with Boca Juniors.

Tottenham eyeing Argentine sensation Zenon

Spurs signed highly rated forward from Argentine football last year when they brought in Alejo Veliz from Rosaria Central, and it looks like Levy is looking to repeat the trick in the 2025 transfer intervals as the North Londoners vie to sign Boca Juniors sensation Kevin Zenon.

Tottenham have been named potential interested parties among multiple English clubs fortifying interest in Zenon’s services and looking to possibly move for him in the upcoming winter window.

And the latest report around a potential move via. Pasion Futbol adds how the Lilywhites are interested in signing the 23-year-old alongside Newcastle, while the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Lyon, FC Porto, and Napoli also follow the situation closely.

The report further states that Zenon’s current employers are aware that it would be ‘difficult to retain’ the player who has a $15m (£11.5m) release clause.

It is to be seen if Levy and Tottenham push for his signatures in the coming weeks.

End of the road for Timo Werner at Tottenham?

Description

Timo Werner has been on end of frustrating time at White Hart Lane with his output, or lack of it in this case, has come time limelight and criticism among fans and pundits alike. The German winger has clearly been struggling to make the best of opportunities presented to him, unlike what he did in his previous spell at N17.

Werner initially joined the Lilywhites in a loan deal from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, and Tottenham head coach decided against using him in his preferred striking role and rather slotted the player on the left flank, with the idea being he could cover up the space using his pace and maintain width to stretch the opponents. His performances earned him shouts for a probable permanent transfer, and while that didn’t happen, Daniel Levy found a way to bring the German international on another loan deal, this time around with an option to buy.

Werner’s arrival was coincided by the Lilywhites signing a striker, and while the former Chelsea man wasn’t playing upfront, the fact that Heung Min Son moved back to his coveted left flank made the minutes hard to come by till the South Korean picked up an injury.

Minutes came with scrutiny as Werner missed some easy chances in front of goal, something the English supporters were used to watching him do from his time at Chelsea.

The problem could be attributed to his confidence and lack of ball-striking abilities. The latter has been a problem for all his career, while the former is changeable.

Can Werner revive his Tottenham career?

Ange Postecoglou is a fantastic manager, and he needs to put his arms around the player and show him that he was not brought solely for goals; his off-the-ball hard work, complemented by his pressing skills, helps Tottenham massively. Werner needs to build himself slowly and take away this notion of pressure when he gets goal-scoring opportunities coming his way. That being said, notching in one will bring a lot of good to him, though.

However, if it continues to be what it is currently, then it could be the end of his spell at Tottenham, and Ange could rather prefer to bring in a primary left-winger who can dribble his way out of situations.

Tottenham keeping tabs on Club Brugge star Andreas Skov Olsen

Tottenham could test Club Brugge’s resolve with a formal offer for Andreas Skov Olsen

Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a productive summer transfer window where they not only added some exciting players but also offloaded the deadwood off their books.

It has not been plain sailing for the north Londoners, but it is clear that the club is in the right direction under Ange Postecoglou. Things are well and truly taking shape, as Ange Postecoglou integrates the summer signings into his squad at the Hotspur Way.

While Spurs are recovering from a slow start to the Premier League season with good performances and results on the pitch, Daniel Levy and Co. are already putting plans in place for the upcoming transfer windows. According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham have been regularly monitoring Club Brugge star Andreas Skov Olsen.

After failing to make the desired impact in two-and-a-half seasons at Italian club Bologna, Andreas Skov Olsen made the switch to Club Brugge in January 2022. Since then, he has established himself as one of the highly-rated forwards across the continent thanks to his consistent displays in the Belgium top flight. He has already registered four goals and an assist over the course of 13 appearances in all competitions this season.

The Denmark international’s eye-catching displays have put several clubs on red alert including Arsenal, Aston Villa, West Ham United, Sevilla and AC Milan. The aforementioned report adds Tottenham are making ‘regular checks on Skov Olsen’ ahead of potentially testing Club Brugge’s resolve with a bid. Spurs have to decide whether to pounce imminently in January as the winger is making plans to consider the next destination of his career.

The 24-year-old, who is understood to be valued at £25million, has been named as a potential target for the Lilywhites as they look to add quality and depth in the attacking ranks. The current wide options for Spurs include the likes of Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Son Heung-min, Timo Werner, Richarlison and Mikey Moore.

Richarlison has endured an underwhelming time at Spurs since arriving from Everton in 2022, Werner’s loan is unlikely to be made permanent following poor displays and Son will turn 33 by the end of the season. While Odobert joined from Burnley in the summer and South Korean talent Min-hyeok Yang is poised to team up with the club from Gangwon FC in January, Spurs may decide to invest again in a wide forward as a potential replacement for either Son or Richarlison.

Due to his age, experience and potential, Skov Olsen would be a smart fit at the Hotspur Way. The Dane is a talented lad who has shown his potential for Club Brugge for some time and has been someone that Tottenham have kept close tabs on since May 2019.

-> Ex-scout thinks Levy will sanction sale for 15 goal ace to buy this £30m Premier League star this winter

With so many clubs circling him, Levy and Co. must decide whether to intensify our interest in Skov Olsen with a formal offer in January or not.

Tottenham have transformed their okay start into a strong run of form, showing impressive resilience. Following the defeat over Brighton, Spurs went on to thrash West Ham 4-0, securing their spot as eighth place in the Premier League.

Their Europa League campaign is also off to a promising start, remaining undefeated with three consecutive wins, including Thursday night’s hard-fought triumph over AZ and remaining on the second position. Although not at their peak, Tottenham clinched the win through Richarlison’s decisive 53rd-minute penalty, showcasing a knack for getting results even when not at their best.

The Brazilian earning £90,000 per week, in his first start of the season, had a brief dispute with James Maddison over taking the penalty. Maddison, captaining Spurs for the match, eventually handed the spot-kick duties to his teammate. The decision paid off, as Richarlison calmly struck the ball down the center, securing Tottenham’s victory.

Ahead of Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace, Ange Postecoglou shared his thoughts on Richarlison’s impactful debut start of the campaign.

Postecoglu’s thoughts regarding Richalison

Postecoglou previously spoke about how Spurs have sought to get Richarlison as fit as possible prior to his return to action.

Ange highlighted this, noting that Richarlison looked “strong, lean, and full of energy,” and expressed confidence that he would become “really important” for the Lilywhites.

“He looked good (Thursday) night, he looked strong, lean and had plenty of energy and he’s going to be a really important player for us for sure.

“Like I said, we took a bit of a different approach with him and hopefully with the objective of breaking that cycle when he comes back for a bit and breaks down.

“Credit to him he’s come back, worked hard, feeling really good about things and great for him to get a goal (Thursday) night.”

Ange Postecoglou dismisses Neymar comparisons for Tottenham’s Mikey Moore

Tottenham appear to have found their rhythm, currently sitting 8th in the Premier League, though that ranking seems likely to shift as Ange Postecoglou’s side sets its sights on a top-four finish. They’ll face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on the 27th.

Mikey Moore made just his second start in Thursday’s 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar, impressing once again, with teammate James Maddison jokingly likening his wing play to that of Neymar. Ange Postecoglou remains confident that Tottenham’s rising star, Moore, will stay grounded and avoid any premature thinkings, despite the Neymar comparisons.

With Son Heung-min not yet fully fit due to muscle soreness reported earlier this week, Mikey Moore is in line to make his full Premier League debut against Crystal Palace. However, Postecoglou remains confident that the 17-year-old will stay grounded despite the growing excitement around him.

Is the 17 y/o destined for Greatness?

Postecoglu when asked about if he found Moore to be similar to Neymar as quoted by the Independent:

“Just to be clear, I didn’t call Mikey, Neymar,”

“I think Mikey just wants to be Mikey and like I said after the game, what I see with him is that he’s very mature for a 17-year-old, he handles things really well.

“Sometimes young players are exciting but you can see pitfalls down the road, but I don’t see that with him. At 17, you think what is he going to be like at 21 and hopefully I am the manager then!”

With Richarlison and Wilson Odobert just back from injury and Timo Werner struggling to find the net in his last 16 appearances, the focus turns to Mikey Moore. He’s still a growing kid, his body is still adjusting to this level, so asking him to play two games in quick succession is something Tottenham approach with caution. Postecoglou noted “but we’ll see how the team shapes up.” Moore’s potential debut reflects both the club’s belief in his talent and their careful management of his promising future.
