Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Reims midfielder Amir Richardson.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Tottenham have been watching the 22-year-old midfielder closely and they could look to step up their efforts to sign in this summer. The highly-rated defensive midfielder has impressed with his performances in Ligue 1 and it seems that Tottenham are prepared to provide him with an exit route.

Tottenham need to improve their midfield options this summer, and it is no surprise that they are looking at the talented young Moroccan midfielder. Richardson has the potential to develop into a quality player and he could be a useful acquisition for Tottenham. The North London club need to bring in a quality defensive midfielder after the departure of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Amir Richardson might fancy Tottenham move

The Moroccan under-23 international will be tempted to join a big club like Tottenham and it would be a major step up in his career. He would get to test himself at the highest level and regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

Reims paid €2 million for the player when they signed him from Le Havre in 2022. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to sanction his departure for a reasonable amount of money this summer. Tottenham will not want to pay over the odds. They will need to strengthen the other areas of their squad as well.

The North London outfit will compete in the Europa League next season and they need a deeper squad to do well across multiple competitions. The 22-year-old would be a handy option and it remains to be seen whether Spurs can get the deal across the line.

The 22-year-old is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a key player for the club in the long-term.

Fabrizio Romano has pleasantly surprised Tottenham fans with transfer update

Tottenham finished fifth in the league last season and they missed out on a place in the Champions League in the final few weeks.

Their form dropped at the latter stage of last season and Aston Villa beat them to a fourth placed finish, costing Ange Postecoglou’s team a place in Europe’s elite competition.

After losing their star man Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer, Spurs were expected to struggle but under Postecoglou, they showed they can deal with the loss of Kane and still play attacking, attractive football.

Son Heung-min, supported by players like James Maddison and Richarlison, performed exceptionally well and took the leadership role at the club.

The arrival of manager Postecoglou elevated the level of some of the players and under his leadership, the North Londoners are heading in the right direction.

However, they need new signings to keep up with their Premier League rivals, who have all strengthen their squad this summer.

Spurs have managed to sign Archie Gray from Tottenham to bolster their midfielder while also extending Timo Werner’s loan deal.

More signings are expected to arrive soon and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed it, saying that he expects the Premier League club to be busy.

The transfer specialist revealed on Playback:

“I expect Tottenham to be active and busy in the transfer market next week.”

It remains to be seen who they will sign in the coming week. It could well be a new striker as they are actively looking to make addition in the attacking position.

Tottenham are looking for a new striker this summer

Spurs have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney while Bournemouth attacker Dominic Solanke has also been mentioned.

Toney’s contract at Brentford expires next summer, which makes it easier for Spurs to sign him now as Brentford are willing to let him leave now instead of losing him for free next year.

Solanke made 41 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 21 goals and he could be a worthy addition to the Spurs attack.

If Postecoglou can get his hands on one of the two strikers mentioned above, he would be happy with his business and that would make Spurs a force to be feared next season.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 20-year-old Argentine striker is unlikely to play regularly for the North London club next season and Fiorentina are keen on securing his signature. According to Rudy Galetti, Fiorentina are stepping up efforts to sign the player and they are likely to submit an offer soon.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to sanction his departure this summer. Galetti does not mention whether the player will leave Tottenham on loan or on a permanent basis.

Veliz is highly rated in South America and he has a bright future. He was on loan at Sevilla last season and he has the potential to develop into a top-class player in the near future.

Spurs must look to keep him at the club for as long as possible. Perhaps, sending him out on loan would be ideal for all parties. The 20-year-old needs to play regularly at this stage of his career in order to continue his development.

Tottenham should send Alejo Veliz on loan

Tottenham will not be able to provide him with that platform. If the Italian outfit are ready to provide him with the necessary gametime assurances, a loan move to Fiorentina might be ideal for all parties.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Veliz could develop into a quality first team player for Tottenham in the near future. They should look to focus on his development for now and ensure that he gets ample first team action.

Meanwhile, the player has the physical and technical attributes to do well in Italian football and he could be a useful acquisition for Fiorentina if they can get the deal done.

Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on Victor Osimhen as the Napoli striker continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea are looking to sign the 25-year-old as well and they are currently in negotiations to get the deal done.

Tottenham are keeping track of the situation and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official proposal to sign the Nigerian striker. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the best strikers in European football and he scored 17 goals in all competitions last season.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat Chelsea to his signature. The 25-year-old could transform the North London club in the attack if he joins them. They have missed a clinical presence like him since the departure of Harry Kane.

Tottenham need a reliable goalscorer in their ranks and the 25-year-old would be the ideal acquisition. He has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and he will want to join an ambitious club capable of pushing for major trophies.

Tottenham and Chelsea keen on Osimhen

Tottenham have asked to be kept informed on the striker’s situation and they would be willing to offer some of their players in exchange for the Nigerian.

Chelsea are hoping to sign him in a player-plus-cash deal as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

Meanwhile, the report states that Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is desperate to sign a new striker this summer. Tottenham are keeping tabs on Jonathan David as well.

Osimhen is at the peak of his powers and he will look to push for major trophies in the coming seasons. A move to Tottenham or Chelsea will be an exciting opportunity and he would get to test himself at a higher level with them.

Son Heung-min is ‘very excited’ to welcome Yang Min-hyeok to Tottenham Hotspur but has urged the youngster to remain focused on his commitments for Gangwon FC for now.

Spurs agreed a deal on Sunday that will see the 18-year-old arrive in north London in January 2025, remaining with South Korean side Gangwon until then.

The teenager is highly rated in South Korea, notching two goals and two assists in 23 caps for the nation’s U16 and U17 teams combined, while he’s already registered eight goals and four assists in 25 K League appearances for Gangwon.

Alongside current club captain Son Heung-min and Lee Young-pyo, Yang is the third South Korean player to sign for Tottenham.

And Son has given some words of advice to his compatriot, who he believes should stay focused on delivering for Gangwon until he joins up with his new teammates.

“I haven’t known him for long. What I’ve told him is the most important thing is to focus on his current club,” Son told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday (via the Tottenham Hotspur website).

“I also told him that while he is doing everything for his current club, he should prepare well for his life in England. I’m very excited to have him in the club.”

Ange Postecoglou reacts to Yang Min-hyeok signing

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou also expressed his ‘delight’ in the signing of Yang, who he sees as an exciting prospect for ‘now’ and the ‘future’.

“I am delighted to have him as part of the club,” the Australian said. “He’s someone that was identified by our scouting department. He’s a young, talented player and we’re always looking, not just for the now but the future and he’s shown great promise.

“I’m looking forward to having him as part of the Club once he’s finished with his commitments with his club now.”

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the summer.

According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Chelsea are expecting an offer from Tottenham for the star midfielder. Atletico Madrid are keen on signing the player as well but Chelsea are expecting their London rivals to come in for him soon.

“I’ve been told today that Chelsea are expecting Spurs to come in for him maybe in the next couple of days or the next few weeks.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done.

They need more quality and depth in the central midfield and the 24-year-old would be a quality acquisition.

Tottenham need someone like Conor Gallagher

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has left the club and he will need to be replaced adequately. Players like Rodrigo Bentancur and Oliver Skipp have been linked with exits as well. Gallagher would be the ideal acquisition for them if they can get the deal done.

The 24-year-old is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an instant impact at the north London club.

Tottenham will be able to provide him with European football next season and the player could be tempted to join them.

The report from Give Me Sport claims that Chelsea want £34 million to sell the player and it will be interesting to see if Spurs are willing to pay up. They certainly have the financial muscle to pay the reported asking price for the midfielder.

The Chelsea Academy graduate has established himself as a key player for the club and his departure will certainly come as a major blow for them. However, they are powerless to stop him from leaving because of his contract situation. They cannot afford to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next year.

Tottenham striker Troy Parrott has claimed that a return to the club could be possible in the future.

Parrott refused to rule out a return to North London despite having his complete focus on AZ Alkmaar.

After his impressive performances for Excelsior Rotterdam last season, Parrott caught the attention of Dutch clubs and now AZ Alkmaar have shown faith in him by signing him this summer.

As per Football.London, the attacker left the Tottenham Stadium in a £6.7million deal to join the Eredivisie club.

The striker wanted to make it big at Tottenham but he did not get many opportunities to prove himself.

Parrott wanted to be a part of Ange Postecoglou’s team but the manager had other ideas and Parrott looked for a move away from the club.

The 22-year-old has now talked about a potential return to the club in the future.

He told De Telegraaf, as reported by Football.London:

“You never know how things are going to go in football.”

At a young age, the move away from Tottenham is right for his career as he needs more playing time.

The more first team action he gets, the more quicker his development will be.

Nobody knows what the future holds and how the Tottenham attacking situation will look like in the future but if he can perform for AZ Alkmaar, a return to North London could be possible.

Troy Parrott did not fulfill his potential at Tottenham

The fans and the club had high hopes of him but he did not turn out to be like many had imagined.

He is still young and has a lot of time in his career and under the right environment and coaching atmosphere, Parrott can develop into the player the Tottenham faithful once expected.

Postecoglou has added some new players to the squad this summer but there is a general feeling that a new attacker is needed who can help share the burden of scoring goals with the current players.

Gangwon FC have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur saw off competition from a direct Premier League rival to sign Yang Min-hyeok.

Spurs agreed a deal on Sunday that will see the 18-year-old arrive in north London in January 2025, remaining with South Korean side Gangwon until then.

“We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement for Yang Min-hyeok to join the Club from K League 1 side Gangwon FC, subject to work permit and international clearance,” Spurs said in a short statement posted on their website on Sunday.

“Yang, who turned 18 in April, has agreed a deal that will run until 2030 and will join us in January, 2025.”

The teenager is highly rated in South Korea, notching two goals and two assists in 23 caps for the nation’s U16 and U17 teams combined, while he’s already registered eight goals and four assists in 25 K League appearances for Gangwon.

Alongside current club captain Son Heung-min and Lee Young-pyo, Min-hyeok is the third South Korean player to sign for Tottenham.

Spurs beat rivals to Min-hyeok signing

We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement to sign Yang Min-Hyeok from Gangwon FC, subject to work permit and international clearance.

He will join us in January 2025.

Welcome to Tottenham, Yang ?

— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) July 28, 2024

Tottenham’s capture of Min-hyeok — who won the K League Young Player of the Month awards for April, May and June of this year — has been made even more impressive by Gangwon’s claim that they saw off competition from another of the Premier League’s big hitters.

“It is true that another big 6 PL team that recently won the UCL had also enquired about Yang,” a club representative said (via talkSPORT).

“That team had nice plans about Yang’s development and had approached us earlier than Spurs. But what I didn’t realise at the time was that Yang had his heart set on Tottenham.

“I even asked him if he wanted to go to that other club, but Yang straightly refused, saying he wanted to only join Spurs.

“To make it clear, it was Yang, rather than Gangwon, who made the choice to pick Tottenham as his next club. I respected the player’s wish.”
