Wrexham and Tottenham fans react as Ryan Reynolds targets Dele Alli, it is his ‘last ever chance’

Wrexham’s links to Dele Alli have sparked a mixed reaction from both Red Dragons and Spurs supporters.
It has emerged that Wrexham are keen to sign Dele Alli following the summer transfer window, with the former England and Tottenham Hotspur star now available for free.
Dele has been released by Cesc Fabregas’s Como side, after it was clear that he was not at the forefront of the Spaniard’s plans for the Serie A outfit.
Wrexham have previously been interested in Christian Eriksen, Dele’s former teammate at Tottenham, but it appears that Phil Parkinson has now turned towards the ex-England 29-year-old to fill the final vacancy in his squad.
Following the news of Wrexham, alongside Birmingham City and West Brom’s pursuit of Dele, Wrexham and Tottenham fans have reacted, with there being plenty of positives and negatives to ponder.
Wrexham’s pursuit of Dele Alli has raised eyebrows in the footballing world, with Tottenham Hotspur supporters having a particular say on the links.
Dele shone in his earlier years at Tottenham, and the fans’ admiration of their former midfielder makes them keen to finally kick on and find a club where he can return to his best.
Reacting to the news, one Spurs fan suggested that they would ‘love to see this happen’.

Another supporter suggested that Wrexham ‘would be a great place for him to go’ to revive his career, considering the optimism that stems through the club.
However, one slightly more pessimistic Spurs fan had his say, saying that ‘Wrexham is probably his last ever chance to revive his career to an extent’.
Wrexham fans also made their voices heard on the matter, as one believes that it is ‘worth a punt if the deal is right’.
However, one Red Dragons fan responded by saying: “I don’t think he’s Parky’s type of player, too much danger that he brings a negative influence into the dressing room.”
Dele is currently a free agent after his unexpected departure from Como.
Dele Alli arrival would bring significant benefit to Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac
The priority for Wrexham, both on-and-off the pitch this season, is to consolidate the club’s place in the Championship, so that they can push on in future campaigns.
As a result, Phil Parkinson will be keen to only add players to his squad who can make a significant positive difference, which is where doubt arises on the potential signing of Dele Alli.
Dele has struggled to replicate his performances from the mid-2010s, when he shone for a high-flying Tottenham Hotspur side; however it is obvious that he has the natural talent to still set the Championship alight.
While there may be on-field doubts, the signing of Dele would without a doubt carry a significant benefit on the club’s image and publicity they would receive, which would help owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
Rob and Ryan always strive to get as many eyes on Wrexham as possible, and if they were to make a move for Dele, they would have people across the world gripped by their business.
