Tottenham Hotspur Are Expected To Make A Move For This Championship Midfielder: Should De Zerbi Get Him On Board?

Abhinab Ghosh

-

In a recent report, The Northern Echo revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make a move for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney. It has been stated that Spurs would have to rival Manchester United and Crystal Palace in the race to land the English talent this summer.

Hackney’s Impressive Form In The EFL Championship

Hackney managed to catch the eye with his performances at the centre of Middlesbrough’s midfield last season. The 23-year-old has scored six goals and secured eight assists in 41 matches for the English outfit in the previous campaign on all fronts.

The English sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in the EFL Championship. Therefore, Spurs would do well to win the race for his services later this year.

His current contract at the Riverside Stadium will run out at the end of next season, which could open the door for Tottenham to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Get Hackney On Board?

Hackney is full of energy and running at the centre of the park. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create some decent chances in and around the opponent’s penalty area.

The English midfield ace is a good dribbler with the ball as well and doesn’t mind putting in a tireless shift for his team defensively in the middle of the park. Hackney is primarily a holding midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up this summer.

Hackney would add more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s midfield. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 23, Hackney has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Spurs to pursue this summer. Therefore, De Zerbi would be wise to try everything in his power to get him on board in this transfer period. However, Spurs would have to give him some time to adjust to life in the Premier League before they can get the best out of the player.

In a recent report, Fichaes stated that Manchester City are eager to land Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pedro Porro this summer. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants are eyeing a move to bring the Spanish talent to the Etihad Stadium in this summer transfer period.

Porro’ Tough Season In The Premier League

Porro has experienced a difficult campaign at the North London club but managed to help them avoid relegation on the final day of this Premier League campaign. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net twice and picked up six assists in 47 matches for Tottenham Hotspur this season across all competitions.

The Spanish defender is currently one of the most talented full-backs in the Premier League. Therefore, Man City would do well to get a deal over the line for him later this year.

His current contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian outfit to sign him on a cut-price deal in the upcoming transfer window.

Should Manchester City Go For Porro This Summer?

Porro is a strong tackler of the ball and can make the odd interception for his side on the defensive end of the field. He usually clears the danger when required and can make some driving runs with the ball on the right flank.

The Spaniard has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field. Porro can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team from the right flank. He knows the Premier League well and is well-equipped to make an immediate impact at the Mancunian club.

Porro would add more quality and depth to Man City’s backline. He is good enough to compete with Matheus Nunes for a regular starting role at the Etihad Stadium next season.

At 26, Porro has his best years ahead of him and could be a real asset in Man City’s dressing room. He will also help the Mancunian outfit compete across all fronts over the next few years. Hence, Man City should focus on getting a deal done for Porro in this summer transfer window.

In a recent report, The Independent claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are planning to move in for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba. It has been mentioned that Spurs have identified the Cameroonian midfield ace as a target for this summer transfer period.

Baleba’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Baleba has managed to shine at times with his performances at the heart of Brighton’s midfield this season. The Cameroonian talent has made 35 appearances for the Seagulls in this campaign, but has failed to score or create a goal for them across all fronts.

The 22-year-old is currently one of the most gifted holding midfielders in the Premier League. Thus, it is no wonder that Tottenham are keen on bringing him to North London this off-season.

His current contract at the American Express Community Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Spurs to land him on the cheap in this upcoming transfer period.

Will Baleba Be A Dream Option For Tottenham Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Baleba is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is an accurate passer as well.

However, the Cameroonian sensation has to find a way to add more goals and assists to his game. Baleba is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. He has got plenty of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Tottenham.

Baleba would add more bite and steel to Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi’s midfield department. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 22, Baleba has got a bright future ahead of him and would be a great signing for Spurs to consider for the long run. He will also help Tottenham get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League in the future. Thus, he would be a dream option for De Zerbi to pursue in this summer transfer window.

In a recent report, The Daily Mail revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to reignite their interest in Manchester City winger Savinho. It has been stated that Spurs are eager to get a deal done for the Brazilian wide player in this summer transfer window.

Savinho’s Lack Of Game Time At Man City This Season

Savinho has struggled to earn a regular spot in Man City’s first team this season. However, he has managed to put in a few impressive displays for them in the final third.

The Brazilian talent has made 36 appearances for the Mancunian club in this campaign, scoring four goals and earning three assists across all competitions. Savinho is currently one of the most gifted wide players in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no wonder that Spurs are ready to rekindle their interest in recruiting him this off-season.

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Go For Savinho?

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball and can make some driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can strike the ball well from long range and can create the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.

The Brazilian talent is primarily a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

Savinho would add more quality and depth to Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.

At 22, Savinho has got a bright future ahead as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, he would be a good option for Spurs to consider this off-season. Savinho will also help Tottenham get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years. Thus, De Zerbi would be wise to go for a player of his skill set this summer.

In a recent report, A Bola mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Benfica keeper Anatoliy Trubin. It has been claimed that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the Ukrainian shot-stopper to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Trubin’s Impressive Form In Portuguese Football

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a solid campaign at the Portuguese club as he has put in a string of impressive performances for them in Liga Portugal. Trubin has conceded 43 times and earned 21 clean sheets in 50 matches for Benfica this season across all competitions.

The Ukrainian sensation is currently one of the best goalkeepers in Portuguese football. Thus, Spurs would do well to get a deal over the line for him in this upcoming transfer window.

His current contract at the Portuguese club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap later this year.

What Will Trubin Bring To Tottenham Hotspur?

Trubin can use his quick reflexes to make some solid saves at the back for his team. He is a good handler of the ball and can use his strong 1.99m frame to dominate his penalty area when defending set-pieces.

The Ukrainian talent tends to keep a lot of clean sheets and could be a real asset for a club like Tottenham. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get him on board in this summer transfer period.

We can expect Trubin to bring a lot of quality to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s backline. He is more than capable of earning a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season. Furthermore, the Ukrainian talent could turn out to be an ideal replacement for Guglielmo Vicario, who has struggled to prove his worth at the North London club this season.

At 24, Trubin has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Spurs to pursue in this summer transfer window. Therefore, De Zerbi should consider trying everything in his power to get a deal over the line for him later this year.

In a recent post on X, journalist Ben Jacobs claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are close to recruiting Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson. It has been mentioned that Spurs have an agreement in place to sign the Scottish defender this summer.

Robertson’s Solid Season In English Football

Robertson managed to serve as a good rotational piece in Arne Slot’s squad this season. He is past his prime, but deserves credit for putting in a few impressive displays on the left side of Liverpool’s backline.

The Scotland international has made 36 appearances for the Merseyside club in this campaign across all competitions. Robertson has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League. Plus, he has the winning mindset to be a success story at Tottenham. Thus, it is no wonder that Spurs are showing interest in signing him this off-season.

His current contract at Anfield will run out at the end of next month, which could open the door for Tottenham to land him on a free transfer this summer.

Will Robertson Be A Good Option For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Robertson is a solid tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and is full of energy and running on the left flank.

The Scotland international is primarily a left-back but can also serve as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so by his manager. He has already proven himself in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Tottenham if they manage to get him on board later this year.

Robertson would add more quality and experience to Roberto De Zerbi’s defence. He is still good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 32, Robertson might have a couple of good seasons left in him to play at a high level. Thus, he would be a good option for Spurs in the short term. Robertson will also help the North London giants compete for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years.

Sarr And Bergvall To Start | 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Everton

Submitted by daniel on
Picture
Description

Tottenham Hotspur will entertain Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday as they look to end this Premier League campaign with a win at home. Spurs suffered a tough 2-1 loss away at Chelsea in the London derby recently, so they would be eager to put in a much-improved showing this weekend.

Roberto De Zerbi will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first team for this game. Pape Matar Sarr and Lucas Bergvall could both play from the start of this clash.

Defence

Anton Kinsky will feature in between the sticks for Spurs after conceding two goals in his last league outing. Kevin Danso will operate alongside Micky van de Ven at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they look to keep the opposition at bay throughout the 90 minutes.

Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back, while Destiny Udogie hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Radu Dragusin and Djed Spence will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Conor Gallagher and Rodrigo Bentancur will anchor the midfield for Spurs as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineering some decent opportunities for their teammates to find the back of the net.

The talented trio of Mathys Tel, Pape Matar Sarr and Lucas Bergvall will play just ahead of them as part of De Zerbi’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if they are to create enough chances for Spurs to secure a convincing win this weekend.

James Maddison and Archie Gray will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Richarlison will spearhead Tottenham’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace on the offensive end of the field.

Dominic Solanke is a major doubt for this game, but could be named on the bench if he can pass a late fitness test.
