Sarr was able to walk off without assistance, suggesting it was not too serious, but it was a significant concern for Spurs a week out from the north London derby.
However, Senegal manager Pape Thiaw has confirmed that he does not expect Sarr to face a spell on the sidelines.
“He got hit and then he didn’t feel well, so as a precaution, he preferred to come off," Thiaw said.
Thomas Frank will hope that proves to be true with Spurs already contending with multiple injury concerns ahead of their trip to face Arsenal on Sunday.
Lucas Bergvall withdrew from international duty with Sweden after there was a "reaction" to tests on his concussion, which he suffered for Spurs in the opening minutes of their defeat to Chelsea earlier this month.
Archie Gray is out with a calf injury and so it leaves Frank short of options in midfield.
Spurs are expecting Mohammed Kudus to be fit to face Arsenal after it was decided he should not join up with Ghana during the international break.
Kudus missed Spurs' last two matches with a knock but he is set to recover from that in time for the north London derby.
Thomas Frank has described the Tottenham job as a "crazy challenge" as he reflected on his first months in charge.
The Dane took charge of Spurs in the summer and has enjoyed a fairly positive start in terms of results, even if performances have been unconvincing at times.
Spurs are fifth in the Premier League and are unbeaten in the Champions League, sitting only a point outside the top eight and a place straight through to the last-16 stage.
"Right now, I have a crazy job and a crazy challenge," Frank told TV 2 Sport ahead of the release of his book, which is titled ‘Thomas Frank – Diary from the Premier League: The story of Denmark's greatest coaching name’.
There has been a significant change off the pitch at Spurs during Frank's time in charge, with long-time chairman Daniel Levy leaving and a new boardroom structure in place.
That is in stark contrast to the stability Frank enjoyed for much of his seven years at Brentford.
"I have repeatedly said to the staff and players when speaking to larger gatherings that when we look back on our time at Brentford, it is perhaps the best time of our footballing careers because the atmosphere we created together between the playing squad and staff was unique," Frank said.
While Frank is now in the Spurs dugout, he was close to getting the job at Manchester United and Chelsea.
He had talks with the two clubs on the same day in May 2024, meeting Sir Jim Ratcliffe in his garage and then interviewing with Chelsea at the Mayfair Hotel in the afternoon.
United stuck with Erik ten Hag and Chelsea appointed Enzo Maresca, but the experience was one that left Frank realising how far he had come.
"Sitting down to talk to two of the ten biggest clubs in the world – two hours apart – is quite unique," Frank said.
"I know I didn't get either job, but it was still huge. I remember walking through Battersea Park between the two interviews and thinking: 'Thomas Frank from f****** Frederiksvaerk - am I really experiencing this'?"

Tottenham have several looming injury issues ahead of the north London derby.
Spurs face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Sunday and Thomas Frank has been handed two fresh fitness concerns over the international break.
Pape Matar Sarr was forced off playing while playing for Senegal, while Lucas Bergvall withdrew from the Sweden squad.
Spurs were also without Mohammed Kudus before the international break and also lost Randal Kolo Muani to a jaw injury.
With that in mind, here is a look at the latest Tottenham injury news..
Mohammed Kudus
Mohammed Kudus missed games against Copenhagen and Manchester United before the international break with what Thomas Frank described as “a knock”.
After Kudus was ruled out of the Champions League win over Copenhagen, he could not face Manchester United after Frank had said he was “touch and go” to return.

Kudus was then left out of the Ghana squad but Frank said he was “very confident” that he “should be available for the next one”.

The £55million summer signing from West Ham has been at Hotspur Way over the international break and Spurs expect him to be fit to face Arsenal.
Potential return date: November 23 vs Arsenal (A)
Lucas Bergvall
Lucas Bergvall has been sidelined since suffering concussion against Chelsea on November 1.
Bergvall was forced off after just seven minutes of the 1-0 defeat and then missed games against Copenhagen and Manchester United due to concussion protocols.
The midfielder joined up with the Sweden squad and was expected to be fine to return against Arsenal.

But Bergvall left the Sweden camp early after suffering a setback in his recovery, in a major fitness worry for Spurs ahead of the north London derby.
Swedish FA executive Stefan Pettersson said: "We had agreed with Tottenham's doctor to do some tests during the week and then run at full speed so that Lucas would feel it properly.
“When there was a reaction, there was no hesitation. We don't want to take any risks."
Potential return date: November
Pape Matar Sarr
Pape Matar Sarr handed Spurs another injury worry when he was forced off playing for Senegal on Saturday.
Sarr was substituted in the first half following a heavy challenge as Senegal lost to Brazil at Emirates Stadium.
Senegal manager Pape Thiaw said: “He got hit and then he didn’t feel well, so as a precaution he preferred to come off, but I don’t think it’s a big deal.”
Sarr will be assessed by Spurs this week.
Potential return date: Unknown
Dominic Solanke
Dominic Solanke has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in pre-season.
Frank said before the international break that Spurs hoped this fortnight will prove significant in his progress.
Spurs news: What do we know about Dominic Solanke injury and when could Tottenham striker return?
"I think the international break will be the big deciding factor because we have two weeks there to push in the next steps," Frank said.
But when Solanke will be ready to return remains very much up in the air.
Potential return date: Unknown
Randal Kolo Muani
Randal Kolo Muani has struggled for fitness since joining Spurs on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, and has most recently been struck down with a jaw injury.
It saw him ruled out of contention to represent France in the November international break.
Reports claim he does not require surgery on the injury, though he could still face six to eight weeks on the sidelines as he recovers.
With that said, no definitive timeline has yet been revealed.
Potential return date: Unknown
Archie Gray
Archie Gray has now missed three Spurs matches since picking up a calf injury in training in late October.
No timeline has yet been confirmed for his return, though he is expected to spend at least a month on the sidelines as he recovers.
Potential return date: December
Radu Dragusin
Radu Dragusin’s recovery from an ACL tear has come on in leaps and bounds over the international break.
He made his grand return to the pitch, playing 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Leyton Orient - his first minutes since January.

He was not involved in either of Romania’s matches over the international break, but it is hoped he will join back up with the Spurs first team when they reconvene at Hotspur Way.
Speaking after facing Orient, he said: "It felt good, first minutes in 10 months out, finally minutes in the legs and I just have to build on this."
Potential return date: November 23 vs Arsenal (A)
Dejan Kulusevski
Dejan Kulusevski is also closing in on a return, having spent months on the sidelines with a patella injury, for which he underwent surgery after the Europa League final.
Destiny Udogie shared a video of Kulusevski training on grass during the international break, suggesting he is closing in on a return, and Frank has said there is a “good chance” of him playing again before the new year.

Kota Takai
Young Japanese defender Kota Takai has been injured for his entire Tottenham tenure. He is yet to appear for the club since moving to north London from Kawasaki Frontale in the summer, but he is finally closing in on a return.
Speaking ahead of the derby defeat by Chelsea, Frank delivered this update on his fitness: “Quad. He is about to be training soon.”
Potential return date: Late November/December
Ben Davies
Ben Davies appeared to be closing in on a return to competitive action when he received a call-up to represent Wales in this international break, but he was forced to leave camp early with a hamstring issue.
It is a reaggravation of an injury which has kept him sidelined since October.
Frank said at the time that the injury would keep him out for “four or five weeks,” but no update has recently been offered.
Potential return date: Late November/December
Yves Bissouma
Yves Bissouma is yet to play for Spurs this season. He missed the Super Cup for disciplinary reasons and was injured shortly after.
He recovered in time to represent Mali in October, but was injured again and stretchered off moments after his reintroduction.
He has since undergone surgery and is once again in recovery.
Frank said: “Biss, unfortunately, had a situation with the national team, I think everyone saw that, so he got a ligament injury to his ankle that will keep him out for weeks."
Potential return date: Unknown
James Maddison
Potential return date: Summer 2026

Former Tottenham Hotspur owner Joe Lewis has been pardoned by US President Donald Trump, after he was fined millions last year over insider trading.
The British billionaire, who handed ownership of the club to the Lewis Family Trust in 2022, was fined five million US dollars (£3.8 million) after he pleaded guilty in January 2024 to charges alleging he had committed securities fraud and conspired to commit securities fraud by insider trading.
A White House official confirmed the pardon and said Lewis, 88, requested it so that he could receive medical treatment and visit his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the US, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

He had initially denied the charges of securities fraud and conspiracy with which he was faced.
According to prosecutors, he passed secrets to romantic partners, personal assistants and friends.
The information allowed them to bet on companies in which he had invested, using information only those with access to the business could have known.
The Lewis family took full operational control of Tottenham this year, after former chairman Daniel Levy stepped down.
Lewis will not be returning to the club, which will continue to be run by the next generation of the Lewis family.
Lewis said: “I am pleased all of this is now behind me, and I can enjoy retirement and watch as my family and extended family continue to build our businesses based on the quality and pursuit of excellence that has become our trademark.”
A source close to the family added: “Joe and the Lewis family are extremely grateful for this pardon and would like to thank President Trump for taking this action.
“Over his long business career, Joe has been a visionary, creating businesses across the world which multiple generations of his family are now taking forward.
“This is why there is so much more to the Joe Lewis story than this one event.”
Lewis built his wealth through the investment company Tavistock Group, and bought a controlling stake in Tottenham Hotspur in 2001.

In 2022 he ceded control of the club and formally handed his stake to a family trust and has no day-to-day involvement with the club.
Spurs is now run by Joe Lewis’s daughter Vivienne, his son Charles, and Vivienne’s husband Nick Beucher, as well as non-executive chairman Peter Charrington and chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.
Mr Levy stepped down as chairman of the club in September after nearly 25 years.
