Ange Postecoglou desperately needs to start stringing some wins together as the Tottenham Hotspur boss heads into a new year and the pressure will crank up if his side fail to beat struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Spurs were spanked 6-3 by Liverpool in their last home game and that humbling loss summed up the folly of trying to go toe-to-toe with England's elite while having your keeper and most of your defence ruled out with injury.

Most fans are starting to lose faith in the Aussie and his side suffered another blow on Boxing Day as they lost 1-0 away to high-flying Nottingham Forest.

Postecoglou has shot up the odds for next Premier League boss to be sacked and it's hard to see him surviving unless results pick up dramatically in 2025.

Wolves have already made a managerial change and Vitor Pereira got off to the perfect start as his side romped to a 3-0 win at relegation rivals Leicester.

They followed that up by beating Manchester United 2-0 at home on Boxing Day, a game where two bets landed for me.

So Wolves head to London in high spirits and with Spurs decimated in defence they have a great chance to take another big step towards safety.

How the bookies view it: Struggling Spurs to get back on track

Despite their poor form, Tottenham Hotspur are BoyleSports' 11/20 hot favourites for a win with home advantage. Wolverhampton Wanderers are 15/4 outsiders and the draw pays 7/2.

Recent head to head: Maul too easy for Wolves

Wolves have a great recent record in this fixture, winning four of their last five meetings with Spurs. Both Premier League games ended in 2-1 victories for the Molineux men last term.

Players to watch: Solanke in hot form

While Spurs have been a shambles at the back, they're still scoring plenty of goals at the other end, with star striker Dominic Solanke in excellent form. The former Bournemouth hitman is 21/20 for anytime scorer here at BoyleSports.

Goncalo Guedes has been given a new lease of life by Pereira and netted in the win over Leicester. He should get another chance to shine here and is 7/2 for anytime scorer.

Probable line-ups

Tottenham have a crisis at the back after Djed Spence was sent off on Boxing Day and Radu Dragusin joined an injury list that already includes Ben Davies, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero and first-choice keeper Gugielmo Vicario. Forwards Richarlison and Wilson Odobert also remain out.

The threat of a ban still hangs over Wolves star Matheus Cunha, with the FA taking an age to rule on the ugly incident with a member of Ipswich's backroom staff. Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez, Boubacar Traore, Pablo Sarabia and Sasa Kalajdzic are injured while Mario Lemina is a doubt.

Tottenham Hotspur: Forster, Porro, Gray, Sarr, Udogie, Bissouma, Bentancur, Maddison, Kulusevski, Son, Solanke.

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Sa, Semedo, Ait-Nouri, Bueno, T Gomes, J Gomes, Andre, R Gomes, Strand-Larsen, Bellegarde, Guedes.

Anything else catch the eye?

A lot will depend on whether Cunha is missing for Wolves after he delivered a goal and an assist in the win over Manchester United. Even if the Brazilian isn't free to play, the Molineux men still look worth a punt in the double chance at 7/5 with BoyleSports, given Spurs will field a makeshift defence.

Goals are usually guaranteed with Postecoglou's side and BTTS pays just 2/5 here but you can boosts the odds to 5/6 by combining that with no draw.

Over 3.5 goals also appeals at 4/5 while backing over 1.5 first-half strikes pays 10/11 at BoyleSports.

Tottenham are usually pretty good value for corners and backing them for over 7.5 flag kicks here pays 21/20.

Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur will go toe-to-toe at Ibrox in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Both clubs have banked 10 points from their opening five league phase assignments, and are heavily fancied to progress to the knockout round.

Rangers took a huge step towards qualification with a resounding 4-1 win away at Nice on matchday five.

Philippe Clement’s side have since strung together a three-game winning run in the Scottish Premiership, most recently cruising to a 3-0 over Ross County, on an afternoon where our man Greg delivered a full house of winners in Dingwall.

As for Tottenham, they continue to endure an inconsistent, and at times, an erratic campaign under Ange Postecoglou.

The Spurs boss is coming under increasing pressure after his side suffered a second-half collapse when losing 4-3 to London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.

How the bookies view it: Tottenham to topple Teddy Bears

Tottenham are even-money (1/1) favourites on Kwiff to claim top honours at Ibrox on Thursday night. Given how convincingly Lyon won at this venue just a couple of months ago, Spurs merit support to follow suit at the above-mentioned odds.

Rangers are as big as 12/5 (Kwiff) to heap more misery on former Celtic boss Postecoglou, while an all square affair in Glasgow can be backed at 11/4 (Kwiff).

Head to head: History book thin

Thursday night’s showdown at Ibrox will represent a first competitive contest between the pair since a Cup Winners' Cup clash way back in season 1962-63.

The two clubs did cross paths in a friendly fixture back in 2022, with Spurs claiming a 2-1 victory on that occasion.

Players to watch: Hamza hot-streak to continue?

Hamza Igamane has hit four goals across his last four starts for Rangers in all competitions. The Moroccan forward is 23/10 on Kwiff to make the net bulge again on Thursday night.

Brennan Johnson is Tottenham’s leading marksman in the Europa League this season, with three strikes to his name thus far. The Spurs ace is 12/5 on Kwiff to grab another goal in Govan.

Predicted line-ups

With Ianis Hagi ineligible to feature for Rangers in the Europa League, Mohammed Diomande is expected to come back into the side on Thursday night. Defender Robin Propper could also be restored to the starting XI.

Tottenham will be without key defensive duo Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, both of whom hobbled out of Sunday’s aforementioned 4-3 defeat to Chelsea.

Rangers: Butland; Tavernier, Souttar, Propper, Jefte; Barron, Raskin; Cerny, Diomande, Bajrami; Igamane

Tottenham: Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Udogie; Sarr, Bentancur, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son

Anything else catch the eye?

Nicolas Raskin stands out to commit two or more fouls on Thursday night at even-money (1/1) on Bet 365.

The Belgian midfielder has given away multiple free-kicks in each of Rangers’ last three Europa League matches.

Raskin is likely to be up against Tottenham playmaker James Maddison, who has been fouled twice or more in three of his four continental outings this term to date.

This UEFA Europa League match between Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur will be played on Dec 12, 2024 and kick off at 20:00. Check below for our tipsters best Rangers vs Tottenham Hotspur prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.

Sunday’s Football Tips: Chelsea’s attack should get some joy against weakened Spurs

Submitted by daniel on

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have started to turn on Ange Postecoglou and things could get ugly for the Aussie if his side lose at home London rivals Chelsea today.

Travelling supporters gave their manager both barrels after Thursday's 1-0 loss at Bournemouth made it three games without a win in all competitions.

Injuries and suspension have hit Spurs hard so it's a bad time to be playing a red-hot Chelsea side brimming with confidence and talent.

The Blues smashed Southampton 5-1 in midweek to stay right in the title hunt and will fancy their chances against this reeling Tottenham side.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea top betting tips

Ange Postecoglou could be missing three centre-backs for this derby, with Micky van de Ven still injured, Cristiano Romero only just starting training again, and Ben Davies crocked in midweek.

Spurs have been strong at home this season but their dip in form has seen Kwiff make Chelsea their 49/50 favourites for this one. Tottenham are priced at 9/5 and the draw pays 12/5.

Parimatch also like the look of the away win, offering new customers 50/1 on the Blues as long as they sign up ahead of Sunday's kick-off. A £1 bet is required to claim the offer, with the enhanced winnings being paid in free bets.

Backing over 1.5 strikes for the Blues only pays a tiny 13/25, but if you bet on Enzo Maresca's side scoring in both halves, the odds are better at 23/20.

This fixture is often fiery, and Spurs had two men sent off when Chelsea last came calling. You have to go to over 62.5 booking points to reach 5/4 at Kwiff, so it's probably better to back certain players to go in the book.

Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is 31/20 to be carded while opposite number Moises Caicedo is the same price with Kwiff.

Fulham vs Arsenal top betting tips

Arsenal have been back at their brilliant best in recent weeks but this trip to Craven Cottage is a major test of their title credentials.

Since skipper Martin Odegaard returned to the starting line-up, the Gunners have been flying, following up a draw at Chelsea with four wins in a row.

Kwiff make them 13/25 hot favourites for another victory today but it won't be easy against a Fulham side who have lost just once in their last six games.

The Cottagers have scored in every game since losing 1-0 at Old Trafford in their Premier League opener so we should see goals at both ends.

Combining BTTS and over 2.5 strikes pays a decent 6/5 with Bet365 and that could be worth a punt.

Fulham's in-form Alex Iwobi is going up against his old club and also looks good value for a shot on target at 6/5 with Kwiff.

Ross County v Rangers top betting tips

Rangers have been so inconsistent this season and they've usually followed up an impressive display by struggling in their next game.

They smashed six goals past Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Wednesday night but now face a tricky trip to the Highlands to take on Ross County.

Last season's title bid unravelled after a 3-2 loss in Dingwall and champions Celtic needed to come from behind to scrape a 2-1 win on their visit earlier in the season.

That suggests it could be a tight game so I'm going to combine a Rangers win with under 3.5 goals, which pays 23/25 in a Kwiff bet builder.

Czech winger Vaclav Cerny has been the most consistent Gers forward this season and he's a decent 13/10 with Kwiff for another goal.

The tight pitch in Dingwall often leads to a lot of corners and over 11 flag kicks pays evens with Bet365.

Chelsea's revival under Enzo Maresca continues to gather pace and the Blues head into this London derby with Tottenham Hotspur looking for a fifth successive win all competitions.

I fancied Maresca's side to grab a few goals against weakened Southampton on Wednesday night and a thumping 5-1 victory duly moved them into second place, above Arsenal on goal difference.

The Stamford Bridge boss continues to downplay his side's title chances and the bookies agree, with Chelsea still fourth in the betting for the crown at 14/1 with most firms.

But if his side can emerge from this derby with another three points it would keep the Blues hard on the heels of title favourites Liverpool as we head into the busy festive period.

Tottenham have veered between brilliant and brittle during an inconsistent campaign but they're going through a tough spell now and pressure is building on Ange Postecoglou.

They lost 1-0 at Bournemouth on Thursday night, making it three games without a win, so Postecoglou needs to get angry fans back onside with a win over their London rivals.

How the bookies view it: Blues backed to keep rolling

Spurs have been strong at home this season but their dip in form has seen Kwiff make Chelsea their 49/50 favourites for this one. Tottenham are priced at 9/5 and the draw pays 12/5.

Recent head to head: Spurs down in the slumps

Chelsea have dominated this derby in recent years, losing just one of the last 15 meetings. Both matches ended in victories for the Blues last term, with a 4-1 triumph on the road followed by a 2-0 victory back at Stamford Bridge.

Players to watch: Brennan's on the ball

Brennan Johnson continues to be Tottenham's biggest goal threat and the Welsh winger is already on double figures for the campaign. The former Nottingham Forest star is 39/20 for anytime scorer at Kwiff while Bet365 price him at 6/5 to either score or assist.

I backed Nicolas Jackson for a Chelsea goal in midweek but Maresca gave his star striker the night off. The former Villarreal man should return here refreshed and is 7/5 at Kwiff to grab another goal.

Probable line-ups

Chelsea are still without injured defenders Reece James and Wesley Fofana while Maresca should return to his strongest side after resting some players in midweek.

First-choice Spurs stoppers Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero look set to miss out again along with keeper Guglielmo Vicario, striker Richarlison and winger Wilson Odobert. Midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is still suspended.

Chelsea: Sanchez, Gusto, Colwill, Badiashile, Cucurella, Caicedo, Fernandez, Palmer, Sancho, Neto, Jackson.

Tottenham Hotspur: Forster, Porro, Davies, Dragusin, Udogie, Bissouma, Sar, Maddison, Son, Johnson, Solanke.

Anything else catch the eye?

With Spurs still without their first-choice keeper and centre-backs, Chelsea's free-scoring attack could get a bit of joy. Kwiff price over 1.5 Blues goals at just 21/50 but backing Maresca's side to score in both halves is better at 6/5.

Tottenham also boast plenty of firepower so there should be plenty of action at both ends. Again, over 3.5 strikes doesn't offer great value at 4/5 with Kwiff but backing both teams to score in the first half is better at 37/20.

This fixture often boils over so it could pay to back a busy day for the officials. A red card pays 16/5 at Kwiff while Chelsea look good for most booking points at evens with Betfred.

Blues full-back Marc Cucurella is often involved in spats and is also prone to a rash challenge. He's 2/1 with Bet365 to go into the book and that seems a decent price.

Thursday’s Football Tips: Which Spurs will turn up at Bournemouth?

Submitted by daniel on
Picture

Description

The midweek Premier League card comes to a climax tonight and the clash between AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur has the potential to be a cracker.

Spurs remain maddeningly inconsistent and they were booed off at the weekend after following up their stunning 4-0 win over Manchester City with a 1-1 draw at home to Fulham.

Ange Postecoglou just can't string a decent run of league wins together this season and they now have a tough trip to the south coast.

Bournemouth sit just two points below Tottenham and will fancy their chances at home, having already beaten Arsenal and Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur top betting tips

The one thing Tottenham have consistently delivered this season is excitement and we should see plenty of action at both ends tonight.

But Kiwff price BTTS at a tiny 7/20 while even backing over 3.5 goals only takes you to 47/50. With Spurs still missing key players in defence, it could be a busy night for keeper Fraser Forster and he's 5/4 at Bet365 to make over 3.5 saves.

Tottenham's last four games have produced 12 or more corners so there could also be some value in backing over 12.5 flag kicks at 23/20 with Kwiff.

Evanilson impressed in Bournemouth's weekend win over Wolves and while he didn't score, he had a hand in most of their goals. The Brazilian is a tempting 11/10 at Bet365 to either score or assist tonight.

Fulham vs Brighton and Hove Albion top betting tips

The other Premier League game tonight should also be a decent watch as high-flying Brighton face a test of mettle on the road at Fulham.

Both teams have impressed this season and a win tonight would move Marco Silva's side just a point behind the Seagulls.

Fulham have lost two of their last three at home though while Brighton's only league defeats this term have come against Chelsea and leaders Liverpool.

This has the makings of a tight game so the half-time draw appeals at 6/5 with Kwiff. With both teams set up to attack we should also a few corners and over 10.5 flag kicks pays 23/25.

Georginio Rutter has been a big threat coming off the right flank for Brighton and looks decent value at 13/10 with Bet365 to either score or assist.

Lazio vs Napoli top betting tips

There's a cracker in the Coppa Italia tonight as Serie A leaders Napoli take on a Lazio side who have lost just twice in their last 14 matches.

One of those defeats came at the weekend as Lazio lost 3-1 at Parma so Marco Baroni's men will be desperate to bounce back with a win.

Napoli's form has been equally impressive, with Antonio Conte's men losing twice all season, and they've won their last two games 1-0 against Roma and Torino.

That suggests this will be a close one and the half-time draw appeals again at 21/20 with Bet365. Lazio haven't lost at home all season so they might just have the edge and Kwiff price them at 13/10 to come out on top.

Thursday's Super Singles

Fraser Forster over 3.5 saves 5/4 Bet365.

Georginio Rutter to score or assist 13/10 Bet365

Lazio to win 13/10 Kwiff

Description

AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur will round off the midweek Premier League action at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday night.

The two teams will head into this south coast clash following contrasting results last time out.

The Cherries brought their two-game losing run to an end by claiming a 4-2 success away at Wolves on Saturday.

That victory has Andoni Iraola's team sitting in 13th position in the Premier League table, though they are only two points behind Ange Postecoglou’s seventh-placed side.

Tottenham’s Jekyll and Hyde nature was on show again last time out when being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Fulham.

That stalemate came off the back of a 4-0 win away at Man City and a 2-1 defeat at home to Ipswich – a trio of results that have typified Spurs‘ season thus far.

How the bookies view it: Tottenham to triumph

Tottenham Hotspur are marginal 7/5 favourites on Kwiff to claim top honours on Thursday night.

Bournemouth – who have won three of their last four Premier League home games – are narrow outsiders at 7/4 (Kwiff) while a share of the Vitality Stadium spoils has been priced up at 11/4 (Kwiff).

Head to head: Recent history on Spurs’ side

Tottenham have come out on top in three of the last four Premier League meetings between the pair, emerging victorious from each of their last two visits to the Vitality Stadium.

Players to watch: Cook to cross the line?

I successfully backed Lewis Cook to commit two or more fouls during Bournemouth's previous home game and I’m more than happy to support the same selection here at 11/10 on PaddyPower. The Cherries midfield enforcer has made multiple misdemeanours in seven of his 12 Premier League appearances this season so far.

Brennan Johnson bagged his tenth goal of the season for Spurs against Fulham on Sunday. The Tottenham forward is a tempting 5/2 on Kwiff to fire again on Thursday night.

Predicted line-ups

Bournemouth will be boosted by the return of Antoine Semenyo from suspension, while the aforementioned Lewis Cook could come back into the side.

Former Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is expected to come back into the fold for Tottenham after missing out against Fulham, while Dejan Kulusevski is expected to be restored to the starting XI after starting on the bench last time out.

However, the visitors will have to contend with the absences of Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur, among others.

Bournemouth: Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Cook, Christie; Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson

Tottenham Hotspur: Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Johnson, Kulusevski, Maddison; Son

Anything else catch the eye?

In a game where plenty of goalmouth action is anticipated, James Maddison stands out to register a minimum of one shot on target at 11/10 (UniBet).

The Spurs ace scored two goals during the aforementioned 4-0 thumping of Man City just under a fortnight ago.

Throw in the fact that Maddison is averaging one on-target effort per 90 in the Premier League this season and the 11/10 on a repeat offers excellent value.

This English Premier League match between AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur will be played on Dec 5, 2024 and kick off at 20:15. Tottenham Hotspur will be targeting back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time since September when they face Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

After slumping to a 2-1 defeat in their last top-flight outing at home to Ipswich, Spurs bounced back in stunning fashion by brilliantly dismantling Man City 4-0 at the Etihad last Saturday, in a game that brought up my Bet Builder.

Those two results couldn't be any more Jekyll and Hyde, so Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his side can find a level of consistency in the Premier League moving forward.

Last time out, Spurs were pegged back twice during an action-packed 2-2 draw when hosting Roma in the Europa League.

As for Fulham, their three-game unbeaten in the Premier League came to a shuddering halt last weekend when being whacked 4-1 by Wolves at Craven Cottage.

That setback coupled with results elsewhere has seen Marco Silva’s men slide down to ninth place in the top-flight standings.

How the bookies view it: Spurs to march to win

Despite losing their previous Premier League home game to Ipswich, Tottenham head into this tussle as firm 6/10 favourites on Kwiff.

Fulham claimed a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in their last top-flight road trip but they are an unfancied 10/3 (Kwiff) to repeat the trick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while the stalemate is trading at 17/4 (Kwiff).

Head to head: History favours the hosts

Tottenham have triumphed in eight of their last 10 Premier League meetings with Fulham, including a 2-0 win in last season’s corresponding fixture.

However, it’s worth noting that Fulham did put Spurs to the sword with a 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage last term.

Players to watch: Dejan to deliver?

Dejan Kulusevski has been one of the outstanding players in the Premier League this season. After setting up a goal against both Man City and Roma across the past week, the Tottenham ace holds plenty of appeal for a goal or an assist this weekend at 29/20 on UniBet.

Emile Smith Rowe has made an impressive start to life at Fulham. The former Arsenal man is as big as 9/2 on Kiwff to strike on Sunday.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario looks set for an extended period on the sidelines, meaning Fraser Forster will be handed his first Premier League start of the season against Fulham on Sunday.

Harrison Reed is not expected to feature for Fulham until January at the earliest due to a knee injury, while defender Joachim Andersen is struggling with a calf issue.

Tottenham Hotspur: Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son

Fulham: Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Pereira; Iwobi, Smith Rowe, Nelson; Jimenez

Anything else catch the eye?

While Tottenham are difficult to trust as they do tend to blow hot and cold, I’m prepared to side with them on Sunday alongside over 1.5 goals at 4/5 with Kwiff.

Each of Spurs’ six Premier League wins this season have featured a minimum of two match strikes, with all four of their home triumphs breaking the over 3.5 goal barrier.

This formula would have also been a winning one in three of Fulham’s four top-flight defeats this term, including each of their last three.

This English Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham will be played on Dec 1, 2024 and kick off at 13:30. Check below for our tipsters best Tottenham Hotspur vs Fulham prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.

Saturday’s Football Tips: New Guardiola deal is bad news for struggling Spurs

Submitted by daniel on
Picture
Remote Image
Description

Manchester City went into the international break on their worse run under Pep Guardiola but the bookies are banking on them roaring back to life at home to Tottenham Hotspur today.

Some people put a shock run of four successive defeats down to the uncertainty over Guardiola's future but the two-year contract extension he agreed on Thursday night has given City a massive boost.

Betano make the Premier League champions their 9/20 hot favourites for an Etihad win today and it's hard to disagree with Spurs looking so flaky.

Ange Postecoglou's side lost at home to Ipswich Town before the break and will need a vastly improved performance to stand any chance against Guardiola's men.

Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur top betting tips

Tottenham have been a bit of a bogey team for Manchester City in recent years but most of the defeats and draws have come in London. On their last nine visits to the Etihad, Spurs have come out on top just once so I'm going to combine a City win with BTTS at 11/8 with Betano.

The international break has given Kevin De Bruyne more time to build up his fitness and he should start here after three cameos off the bench. The Belgian is 6/4 at William Hill for an assist and that looks good value if he does get the nod from Guardiola.

Tottenham always have a go and there should be chances at both ends, with City's defence looking uncertain all season. Dominic Solanke is set to lead the line for Postecoglou's men and looks good value at evens with Bet365 just to have a shot on target.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest top betting tips

Some pundits have written Arsenal off for the title already and the Gunners desperately need to get three points on the board today when in-form Nottingham Forest visit the Etihad.

A horror run of just two wins in five games in all competitions has knocked Mikel Arteta's side out of their stride just when it looked like they were ready to go one step further in the title race.

But they now have a much kinder run of fixtures and will be looking to eat into Liverpool's nine-point lead, starting with the visit of Forest.

Only goal difference is keeping Nuno Espirito Santo's side below Arsenal in the table but Betano make them 15/2 outsiders at the Emirates.

I'd imagine Nottingham Forest will sit back and look to hit on the break so I'm going to bet on the corner count racking up for the Gunners. Backing Arsenal at -4 in the corner handicap pays 7/5 at Unibet while the same firm price over 7.5 home flag kicks at 13/10.

Martin Odegaard's return to fitness is a big boost for Arteta and the skipper is 5/2 at Bet365 to provide an assist.

Leicester City vs Chelsea top betting tips

The lunchtime game in the Premier League is a tasty one as Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca returns to his old stomping ground in Leicester.

The bookies reckon the Italian will come back to haunt his old club, with Betano making the Blues their 9/20 hot favourites.

I don't think the result is as big a foregone conclusion as the bookies are making out but Chelsea's superior quality up front should make the difference.

Noni Madueke's confidence will be up after impressing for England during the international break and he's a tempting 6/5 at Bet365 to either score or assist.

Foxes stopper Wout Faes can often be a bit rash so the Belgian could be worth backing for a card at 25/4 with Unibet.

Heart of Midlothian vs Celtic top betting tips

Celtic have been rampant in the SPFL Premiership so far this season but they are now heading into their toughest spell of the season, with trips to Tynecastle, Pittodrie and Ibrox on the horizon amid a busy Champions League schedule.

Taking on Hearts in the capital is a tricky one after the international break, especially with Celtic's influential Japanese trio only reporting back on Friday after long-haul flights.

I fancy BTTS in this one but it only pays 7/10 with Betano. Adding on over 2.5 goals boosts the odds to evens and that looks worth a punt.

This fixture is often fiery and we saw two penalties and a red card when Celtic lost 2-0 on their last visit to Tynecastle. Over 47.5 booking points looks good at 6/5 with Betfred.

For a long-odds option, combining cards for midfield adversaries Malachi Boateng and Callum McGregor pays 16/1 at Bet365.

Dominic Solanke over 0.5 shots on target Evens Bet365

Arsenal -4 corner handicap 7/5 Unibet

Noni Madueke goal or assist 6/5 Bet365

Long shot

Malachi Boateng and Callum McGregor to be carded 16/1 Bet365

The international break came at a good time for Manchester City and the Premier League champions will be looking to get out of their rut when they return to action with a clash against inconsistent Tottenham Hotspur.

Pep Guardiola was left reeling for the first time in years as City lost four successive games in all competitions, a horror run that started with an EFL Cup loss to Spurs as Ange Postecoglou's side brought up a bet for me.

That defeat wasn't a major surprise, with the City boss resting most of his big hitters, but it was a shock to see the champions crashing to a 4-1 loss at Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.

Bournemouth and Brighton also inflicted stunning league losses on Guardiola's side, leaving them five points behind leaders Liverpool, who are now 13/10 favourites for the crown.

Now Manchester City, boosted by the news their manager has signed a new one-year-deal, need to bounce back with a win over a Tottenham side who also went into the international break on a downer after losing 2-1 at home to Ipswich.

Postecoglou's side just can't find any consistency and if they suffer another loss at the Etihad, the Aussie might find himself coming under serious pressure for being all style and no substance.

How the bookies view it: City ready to roar again

Despite being in dismal form, Manchester City are red-hot favourites for this one at just 9/20 with Betano. Tottenham Hotspur are 9/2 outsiders and the draw pays 15/4.

Recent head to head: Will the curse strike again?

Spurs have been a bit of a bogey team for Guardiola's side, with Manchester City winning just five of the last 13 meetings. Most of the good results for Tottenham have come in London though and they've only won once in their last nine trips to the Etihad.

Players to watch: Kevin sent for Pep

One of the few positives in recent games for City was the return of talisman Kevin De Bruyne. After cameos off the bench in their last two matches, the Belgian playmaker could be unleashed from the start here. He's 85/40 with Betano for anytime scorer but an assist is more likely and that pays 13/8 at Bet365.

Dominic Solanke is showing signs of hitting top form for Spurs and will fancy his chances against a defence that has been leaking goals. The striker is 2/1 at Betano for anytime scorer.

Probable line-ups

Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and John Stones all sat out England duty due to injuries and are doubts for this game. Guardiola is also sweating on the fitness of Jeremy Doku, Matheus Nunes, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake, while Rodri, Oscar Bobb and Ruben Dias remain sidelined.

Rodrigo Betnacur starts his long suspension for racial comments while Cristian Romero and Timo Werner are fitness doubts. Mickey van de Ven, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert miss out with injuries.

Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Gvardiol, Ake, Lewis, Kovacic, B Silva, Savinho, De Bruyne, Foden, Haaland.

Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario, Dragusin, Udogie, Romero, Porro, Son, Johnson, Sarr, Bissouma, Solanke, Kulusevski.

Anything else catch the eye?

With both managers committed to attack we should always see goals when these sides collide, yet BTTS has failed to land in three of the last five meetings. Most of the thrillers have come at the Etihad, though, with five goals or more in each of the last three meetings there.

That makes me think we will see plenty of action in this one and the bookies agree, with BTTS and over 2.5 goals paying just 13/20 at Betano. There's more value in backing over 1.5 first-half goals at 20/21.

Both sides have been racking up heaps of corners so I also like over 12 flag kicks at 5/4 with Bet365. Yves Bissouma will probably replace the banned Bentancur in midfield and appeals at 13/8 for a card at Bet365 if he starts.

Tottenham Hotspur remain favourites for the UEFA Europa League but face their toughest test yet with a trip to Turkey to face a star-studded Galatasaray side.

The bookies had Ange Postecoglou's side in the box seat before a ball was kicked and they still lead the betting at just 4/1 after wins over Qarabag, Ferencvaros and AZ Alkmaar.

The Spurs gaffer was feeling the heat a little after some poor Premier League results but has got the fans back onside in the last week with rousing home wins over Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Performances have been more patchy on the road and Tottenham Hotspur will need to play well to avoid defeat against a Galatasaray side that was assembled to play in the Champions League.

A surprise loss to Young Boys in the play-offs saw the Turks drop down to the Europa League instead and they've made a decent start, with wins over PAOK Salonika and Elfsborg either side of a disappointing draw with Latvian side Rigas.

Okan Buruk's side have won their last four in all competitions, including a weekend derby triumph over Besiktas, so their tails will be up for the visit of Postecoglou's side.

How the bookies view it: Galatasaray decent value at 11/8

This is a tricky one to call but Betano make Galatasaray the narrowest of favourites at 11/8, with Tottenham priced 6/4 and the draw at 27/10. Given Postecoglou has often played a few youngsters in the Europa League, the Turks look pretty good value.

Head to head: English jinx for the Turks

These sides have never faced off before in Europe but Galatasaray don't have a good record against English opposition. They've won just four of their 23 ties, losing 10 and drawing the other nine.

Players to watch: To Victor the spoils

Galatasaray pulled off a transfer coup by landing Victor Osimhen on loan from Napoli and he has scored four times in his last four outings. The Nigerian is 5/4 at Betano for a goal and that looks decent value provided he isn't rested.

Postecoglou will probably make changes and James Maddison could come in after a scoring cameo off the bench on Sunday. The playmaker is 13/10 at Bet365 to either score or assist.

Probable teams

Tottenham's win over Aston Villa came at a cost with Cristian Romero and Richarlison both forced off in the second half. They join Mickey Van de Ven, Wilson Odobert and Djed Spence on the sidelines.

Defender Ismail Jakobs remains out for Galatasaray while boss Buruk may consider freshening things up a little after a draining derby match.

Galatasaray: Muslera; Ayhan, Sanchez, Bardakci, Yılmaz; Torreira, Demirbay; Sallai, Akgun; Icardi, Osimhen.

Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario; Gray, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Son, Werner.

Anything else catch the eye?

This should be a cracker as Postecoglou always sets up to attack and Galatasaray boast a potent forward line. The bookies are certainly banking on a goalfest, with BTTS just 4/11 at Betano and over 2.5 goals a tiny 2/5. Over 3.5 strikes just gets you over evens at 21/20 with Betano.

Turkish sides have a reputation for putting the boot in but we've only seen eight yellow cards in total across Galatasaray's three Europa League games. Tottenham have only collected two cards themselves in Europe this term so it could pay to be against a busy night for the ref. Backing under 47/5 booking points pays 5/4 with Betfred.

The corner count could rack up though, with six of the last seven games involving Spurs hitting double figures. Going for over 11.5 corners here pays 6/5 with Betano.

This UEFA Europa League match between Galatasaray and Tottenham Hotspur will be played on Nov 7, 2024 and kick off at 17:45. Check below for our tipsters best Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
