Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly battling Chelsea over a deal to sign Manchester United outcast Alejandro Garnacho, as per the Daily Mail.

The Lilywhites are set to commence a new era under Thomas Frank from next season, and the Dane has prioritised bolstering the frontline at his new club.

They have already purchased Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, but Frank is seemingly planning to add more depth to this department. The Daily Mail report that Spurs are interested in Garnacho and have been monitoring his situation before making a potential swoop.

Although the Argentinian played regularly under Ruben Amorim last term, the Portuguese boss has decided to banish the Argentinian from the first team following his remarks after the Europa League final defeat.

So, he has been training away from the main squad this summer, and alongside him, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia have been banished by Amorim. United initially wanted to recoup £70m for the South American, but they are unlikely to get that much because of his current situation.

Apart from Tottenham, Chelsea are also plotting a swoop for him, and Aston Villa are in this race as well. Napoli wanted to buy him last winter, but United rejected the approach, and they aren’t planning to revive their interest. Atletico Madrid have also been linked with a move for him, but Garnacho is prioritising staying in the Premier League.

Battle

Chelsea have been very busy in this transfer window and have already purchased Jamie Gittens, but want more firepower in the wide areas following Noni Madueke’s departure.

At the moment, the West London club have Pedro Neto and Gittens as the only prominent options for the flanks. Willian Estevao will join, but might take time to settle down in his new surroundings.

Garnacho is a left winger by trait, but is also comfortable on the opposite side. The Argentinian showcased glimpses of his qualities last term, scoring 11 goals and registering 10 assists in all competitions.

The 21-year-old is still very young and possesses high potential, so he would be a shrewd acquisition for Chelsea, Tottenham, or Aston Villa should any of those clubs eventually manage to secure his service.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing Liverpool star Harvey Elliott, as per transfer expert Mike Brown.

Although the 22-year-old has never been a regular starter for the Reds, he played frequently under Jurgen Klopp, mainly as a rotational option. However, the youngster found himself completely out of favour under Arne Slot last term.

He started only three times in the Premier League and Champions League, but still he managed to make six goal contributions. The midfielder netted an excellent goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the last-16 of Europe’s elite club competition.

Elliott was an integral part of the England national team, who won the U21 European Championship this summer. So, following his recent struggles at Anfield, speculation surrounding his future has started emerging this summer.

On Football Insider, Brown says that Elliott isn’t short of potential suitors as Tottenham, Newcastle, and Brighton are plotting a swoop for him. Moreover, a few German clubs have also expressed their interest in him.

Spurs will hold talks with the player’s representatives to understand his demands for joining and will also make contact with Liverpool to enquire about the details of sealing the deal.

Elliott to Tottenham

The Merseyside club don’t see Elliott in their long-term project, so they are ready to cash-in on him. The Lilywhites watched the youngster closely in the U21 European Championship, and after being impressed by him, they are now prepared to make a move.

The former scout states that Elliott would be an asset for any club, as he is a ‘very talented player’.

Brown said:

“There’s no shortage of interest in Harvey Elliott. Newcastle and Tottenham are the latest names I’ve heard, both of them are going to test the waters and see what it would take to bring him in. They’ll speak to his agent and find out what he’s asking for and what Liverpool are going to want.

“I think he could be an asset to any of those clubs because he’s a very talented player. These clubs will have been watching him with England’s Under-21s and after seeing the way he played in that side, they’re now prepared to make a move. He doesn’t have much of a place at Liverpool any more, so they’re ready to let him go.”

Elliott is valued at around £26m by Transfermarkt and has entered the final two years of his current contract. Therefore, the Reds are in a strong position to demand a big fee for him.

Elliott is a versatile forward as he can play on the right flank and in the CAM role. Moreover, he is comfortable providing cover in the box-to-box role in a midfield three.

He is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to reach the top; therefore, he would be a great coup for Tottenham should they purchase him.

Tottenham Hotspur interested in signing Yoane Wissa from Brentford this summer

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have made two signings so far in the summer in Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus but business for the Lilywhites is far from over.

Thomas Frank is keen on signing a new centre forward as well in the transfer window as he looks to add competition for Dominic Solanke, who was inconsistent in terms of form as well as fitness last season.

Football Insider has reported that Spurs are interested in signing Yoane Wissa from Brentford. The 28-year-old scored 20 goals and provided five assists in all competitions last season.

He is in the last 12 months of his contract with the club, so they will need to sell him this time around in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.

With that said, the report adds that Brentford are not looking to sell him along with Bryan Mbeumo, who is close to joining Manchester United.

Nevertheless, Spurs might yet consider testing the waters owing to Wissa’s contract situations in order to secure a bargain transfer for the player, who is valued close to £28 million on Transfermarkt.

Wissa an ideal signing for Spurs

Yoane Wissa has had the best years of his career under Thomas Frank, so it comes as no surprise why there is interest in him from Tottenham Hotspur after their recent hiring of the Dane in the managerial role.

Having said that, he would be a solid signing for the Londoners, more so if they manage to secure a reasonable price for him.

He is fast, intelligent and is capable of making overloading runs into the box in behind the defences. He can also take on players with the ball at his feet, create chances by drifting into the wide areas and use his pace and power to cut in to score goals.

Arguably, he is a more complete product than Dominic Solanke, who is not much more than a poacher and good hold-up player.

Man Utd step up interest in signing Joao Palhinha

Description

According to Caught Offside, Manchester United could compete with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have so far made two signings in Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon this summer. They are also in advanced negotiations with Brentford to secure the services of winger Bryan Mbeumo.

Caught Offside now claim that the Mancunian giants are interested in bringing Palhinha back to the Premier League. The Portuguese is open to a move after struggling for game time under manager Vincent Kompany.

United have already made a loan approach for the former Fulham man, but Bayern prefer a permanent transfer between £26 million and £30 million to part ways with the 30-year-old this summer.

Tottenham are reportedly one of the leading candidates to sign him alongside the Red Devils.

Premier League experience

Palhinha had a fantastic Premier League career with Fulham. He was ever-present in the number six role for the Cottagers, making almost 70 appearances. The Nations League winner caught the eye with his tackling, duel-winning ability and quick recoveries.

This is something which Man United are missing in the current squad. Manuel Ugarte came with a huge reputation from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but he struggled to cope with the higher intensity and made some defensive errors as well.

Casemiro is no longer in his prime and has been vulnerable against the high press. Kobbie Mainoo played in a number 6 role at the start of his career, but manager Ruben Amorim sees him as a number 10 with lower defensive responsibility.

Hence, the door is open for another holding midfielder in the squad. Palhinha would be a welcome addition to the Red Devils’ ranks, given he has good Premier League experience and could seamlessly fit into the starting plans of the manager.

The only concern for the Red Devils should be his injury record. Palhinha managed to stay unscathed during his time at Fulham, but missed 17 games during the previous campaign with a muscular injury. This could be a reason why United are yet to make a permanent bid for his services this summer.

Tottenham ‘considering’ signing Bayern Munich’s Palhinha

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ‘considering’ signing Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha, as per transfer journalist Graeme Bailey.

The Lilywhites currently have Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Archie Gray, and Lucas Bergvall as options to deploy in the engine room.

However, Gray and Bergvall are still very young and aren’t ready to play regularly at the highest level yet. Therefore, considering Spurs have qualified for the Champions League and the fixture schedule will be gruelling next season, Thomas Frank is planning to add depth to this department.

On TBR Football, Bailey says that Tottenham have shortlisted several names, with Douglas Luiz being among them. Spurs have held talks over this deal, and Juventus are ready to let him leave.

Frank’s side have even offered Bissouma in a part-exchange deal to sign the Brazilian, and the Italian giants are ready to take the former Brighton man.

Apart from Luiz, Palhinha is also on Tottenham’s radar and is available this summer. Bayern Munich are open to cashing-in on him just after one year following his struggles to find regular game time last term.

Palhinha to Tottenham

Although Tottenham are ‘considering’ signing the former Fulham man, the Cottagers are open to bringing him back, while West Ham are in this race as well. Moreover, Arsenal and Manchester United previously expressed their interest in signing him. So, Frank’s side will have to face tough competition to get the deal done.

The Lilywhites are also keeping a close eye on Adam Wharton and could make a move should he become available. Furthermore, Lamine Camara, Ardon Jashari, and Hugo Larsson are also on Tottenham’s radar.

Bayern reportedly purchased the Portuguese international for a fee of around £50m, but are ready to let him go for just around £25m.

Although Palhinha struggled to find regular game time at Allianz Arena, he is a talented player and has plenty of experience. Moreover, the 30-year-old previously showcased impressive performances in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Luiz has found himself in a similar situation to Palhinha at Juventus, and he also previously impressed in the English top flight during his time at Aston Villa.

Therefore, either Luiz or Palhinha would be a very good acquisition for Tottenham to reinforce the midfield department.

Tottenham battling with Arsenal to sign Ademola Lookman

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly battling Arsenal over a deal to sign Atalanta star Ademola Lookman, as per Caught Offside.

After starting the summer window slowly, the Lilywhites have signed Mohammed Kudus and Morgan Gibbs-White by spending around £115m within just 24 hours.

Spurs have already made Kudus’ deal official, while the Englishman is set to undergo medical today before finalising the move. So, his move could also become official later today or tomorrow. But Nottingham Forest aren’t happy with how Tottenham sealed the deal and are taking legal action.

Tottenham don’t want to be complacent and plan to continue working hard to bolster the squad to hand new manager Thomas Frank the necessary resources to perform well in the Premier League and go deep into the Champions League next season.

Caught Offside claim that although Frank’s side have already signed Kudus, they want to add more depth to the wide forward position and are ‘keen’ on signing Lookman. La Dea would be open to cashing-in on him for a fee of around £43m with his existing deal set to run until 2027.

However, the Lilywhites will have to overcome stiff competition to seal the deal as West Ham United, Newcastle, and Napoli are also plotting a swoop for him.

Battle

Moreover, Arsenal are in this race as Mikel Arteta is a ‘big fan’ of him. But they are considering signing the Nigerian as a potential alternative option for Eberechi Eze should they fail to secure his service.

It was previously reported that Tottenham were also interested in Eze, but they have cooled their interest in the Englishman after the Gunners entered the race, as the player is keen on joining Arsenal.

Lookman is a similar type of player to Eze, as he has showcased his best at Gewiss Stadium in a left CAM or second striker role in a back-three system. Moreover, he can be deployed on the left flank.

Manchester United discussing swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic and Jadon Sancho

Manchester United discussing swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic and Jadon Sancho - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Manchester United are interested in signing a new striker this summer but are constrained by a limited budget, especially as they struggle to get rid of their deadweight.

Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a solid option at a reduced price as he is in the final 12 months of his contract with the Bianconeri although the Red Devils face competition from Tottenham Hotspur.

Caught Offside has reported that Man United are leading Spurs in a race for the Serbian international, however, as they would be able to drive down the price of the deal by sending Jadon Sancho to Juventus.

The Serie A giants are interested in the former Borussia Dortmund star, thereby putting his recruits over the Lilywhites.

Sancho and Vlahovic a win-win situation for all involved

Dusan Vlahovic and Jadon Sancho switching clubs will be a win-win situation for all parties involved, especially their two clubs.

Juventus will get rid of a player that is surplus to their plans following Randal Kolo Muani’s signing as well as his wage demands, whereas Manchester United will part company with a forward they have looked to sell for over 12 months.

Sancho will get the chance to reignite his career in Serie A where there will be relatively less pressure and spotlight.

He is coming off the back of a decent season on loan at Chelsea and has it in him to turn his situation around and joining a big club like Juventus will allow him to play at the top level although for the move to fall in place, he may need to make financial sacrifices.

Likewise, Vlahovic will have a fresh start at Old Trafford. He scored 15 goals and provided seven assists last season in all competitions though much of his year was filled with transfer rumours and contractual talk.

He can produce better numbers in a more attacking team with Man United and at 25, he promises to be a long-term option for Ruben Amorim’s side too.

It will be interesting to see when both the historic European giants open talks with each other over a potential swap deal although everything points towards it being an efficient and fruitful affair.

Tottenham agree deal to sign Morgan Gibbs-White

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed on a deal in principle to sign Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

After appointing Thomas Frank as the new manager, the Lilywhites initially took time to make moves in this transfer window. But they have now started accelerating their efforts to reinforce the squad and have agreed on a £55m deal with West Ham to sign Mohammed Kudus.

Having secured the Ghanaian’s service, the Danish boss wants to add depth to the attacking midfield department. James Maddison is the only specialist option they have for this position, but he has struggled with fitness problems in recent years.

Ange Postecoglou used Dejan Kulusevski in this position amid the former Leicester City star’s absence, but the Swedish international is more comfortable on the right flank.

On X, Romano says that Tottenham have agreed on a deal in principle to sign Gibbs-White after triggering his £60m release clause. The player will now undergo medical today before finalising the move.

Gibbs-White to Tottenham

Romano wrote:

“Morgan Gibbs-White to Tottenham, here we go! Spurs trigger £60m release clause after direct contact with Forest today. Medical booked and set to take place in 24h. Follows Kudus deal done, massive moves for Spurs project.”

After moving to City Ground from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the 25-year-old established himself as a talismanic figure for the Reds.

Having recently cashed-in on Anthony Elanga, Forest would have hoped to keep the Englishman. But the release clause in the player’s contract means they can’t do anything to prevent him from leaving if any club trigger it, which is what Spurs have done.

Manchester City reportedly identified the former Wolves star as an option to replace Kevin de Bruyne. However, Forest eventually didn’t allow his departure, and the Citizens decided to sign Rayan Chekri.

Gibbs-White is an energetic Premier League proven player and possesses the qualities to flourish at the highest level. Therefore, he would be a great coup for the North London club.

In 43 appearances in all competitions, the Englishman made 16 goal contributions in the 2023/24 campaign. He maintained his level last season as well, scoring seven goals and registering eight assists in 34 Premier League games. Moreover, he helped Forest qualify for European football.

Man Utd & Tottenham ‘keen’ on signing Tyler Dibling

Man Utd & Tottenham ‘keen’ on signing Tyler Dibling - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ‘keen’ on signing Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling, as per transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Red Devils are prioritising revamping the attacking department, having struggled with goal-scoring issues last term. They have already purchased Matheus Cunha as an option to deploy in the left CAM role in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system.

On the other hand, they also want a right-sided forward and have identified Bryan Mbeumo as their primary target. An agreement on personal terms has already been reached with the player, who is a childhood fan of United and is keen on playing at Old Trafford.

However, Amorim’s side have been struggling to reach an agreement on the transfer fee with Brentford. So, perhaps, they have also lined up potential alternative options should they eventually fail to sign the Cameroonian.

On X, Plettenberg says that Man Utd are keen on signing Dibling and have already made contact to learn about the details of signing him. Although Southampton endured relegation last term, they don’t want to let him leave for cheap and have slapped a price tag worth up to £56m on his head.

The Old Trafford club aren’t the only club interested in the teenager as Tottenham are also eager to secure his service, while West Ham United and Nottingham Forest are considering making a move for him as well. However, no club have formalised their interest in signing him yet.

Battle

Tottenham are also considering reinforcing the wide forward position this summer and are closing in on a deal to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham. Therefore, perhaps, as a potential replacement for Kudus, the Hammers are planning to buy Dibling.

The youngster enjoyed a stellar start to last campaign in the Premier League but struggled to continue the momentum through the season. Nevertheless, he is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to reach the top.

He is a left-footed right-sided forward, but can also play in the CAM role and the box-to-box role in a midfield three. He is technically sound and can make driving runs from the deep.

It is going to be interesting to see whether Tottenham, West Ham, or Man Utd eventually make a concrete approach to secure his service.

Tottenham ‘exploring conditions’ to sign Yoane Wissa

Tottenham ‘exploring conditions’ to sign Yoane Wissa - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ‘exploring the conditions’ to sign Brentford star Yoane Wissa, as per Sky Sports.

Bryan Mbeumo was the Bees’ talismanic figure last term, making 27 goal contributions in the Premier League. However, along with the Cameroonian, Wissa was also a key player in Thomas Frank’s starting XI.

In 35 Premier League appearances, the 28-year-old scored 19 goals and registered four assists. He was the sixth-highest scorer in the English top flight last campaign.

Now, Sky Sports claim that Tottenham hold a long-standing interest in Wissa as they attempted to buy him in January and remain keen on securing his service.

Brentford already know about the Lilywhites’ interest in the Congolese international, but they don’t want to sell both Mbeumo and Wissa in the same window, having already lost manager Frank.

Manchester United have been working on a deal to sign the Cameroonian, while the player has agreed to move to Old Trafford. However, United haven’t been able to reach an agreement with Brentford, who want £65m for the forward.

Wissa to Tottenham

Therefore, Tottenham can manage to seal Wissa’s signature if they step up their efforts before Man Utd can finalise the Mbeumo deal. Although Spurs haven’t made a concrete approach over this deal yet, they are ‘exploring the conditions’ of sealing the deal, and a move can happen for less than £65m.

Spurs signed Dominic Solanke last summer to bolster the frontline, but he displayed average performances, while Richarlison never managed to push the Englishman for the first team spot.

So, it is understandable why the Lilywhites are contemplating purchasing a new striker to create competition for Solanke, and Wissa could be a shrewd acquisition should they purchase him, as he is a Premier League proven player.

Wissa, valued at around £28m by Transfermarkt, is a centre-forward by trait but can also provide cover on the flank. He flourished in his career under Frank at Gtech Community Stadium, so reuniting with his former boss could be tempting for the forward.
