Tottenham Hotspur’s teenage forward Jhanaie Pierre has signed her first professional deal with the Club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

The 18-year-old joined the Spurs academy at Under-10 level and she has successfully negotiated her way to the fringes of the senior team.

Pierre has spent pre-season with the senior squad, earning vital experience during Spurs’ overseas training camp. She was also closely monitored by Spurs boss Martin Ho on the training pitch last season.

On the international stage, Pierre has earned recognition with England up to and including Under-19 level.

Pierre is one for the future and Spurs have moved quickly to agree professional terms with the player.

After signing her first professional terms with Spurs, Pierre said “I’m over the moon. I feel like I’ve put in a lot of hard work and it’s turned out great. I’m just grateful, it means a lot to me and my family.

“I’ve been at Tottenham Hotspur since Under-10s and it’s been such a journey, to be honest. Obviously with highs and lows, but it’s been great and I’ve learnt a lot through this experience. I’m just grateful that now I get to show the world who I am.”

Pierre will now continue her development with a view to pushing for first team minutes with Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of French international defender Alice Sombath on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites earlier this morning.

The 22-year-old full-back joins Spurs from French Arkema Première Ligue club OL Lyonnes.

Sombath is one of the brightest young defenders to come out of the French game in recent years. The youngster has spent all of her senior career to date with OL Lyonnes. Sombath has won 10 major trophies with OL including the UEFA Women’s Champions League and five French Arkema Première Ligue titles.

On the international stage, Sombath has been capped by France on 16 occasions at senior level.

After sealing her move to Spurs, Sombath said “I want to do my best here at Tottenham Hotspur. I think the league is very competitive, every game is a tough game, and that’s what I’m most excited about.

“I saw that Spurs had a very good season last year – my qualities can bring something to the team, even though I know they already have a lot.”

Sombath is Spurs’ sixth signing of what is proving to be a very busy transfer window for the club.

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Eleanor Heeps on a permanent transfer.

The Seagulls announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 22-year-old joins Brighton & Hove Albion after spending the last four years with Spurs. Heeps provided goalkeeping competition in her time in North London and appeared in the first team on four occasions. The youngster also enjoyed time out on loan at Blackburn Rovers, Coventry United and Sheffield United.

On the international stage, Heeps has represented England at various youth levels earlier in her career.

Heeps is a player who has huge potential. After developing well season-on-season at Spurs, the player will now be hoping to push for regular minutes with new club Brighton & Hove Albion.

After adding Heeps to his squad, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “I am pleased to welcome Eleanor to the club and look forward to seeing her add good competition to our goalkeeping team.

“She has had different experiences at different levels and we hope this will help her get off to a good start with us.”

Heeps is Brighton & Hove Albion’s third signing of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Victoria Pelova on a free transfer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

The 27-year-old joins Spurs upon the expiry of her contract with former club Arsenal. Pelova spent three-and-a-half years with The Gunners in which she won the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, UEFA Women’s Champions League and two Subway Women’s League Cups. The midfieder made 89 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions in which she scored six goals.

On the international stage, Pelova has been capped by The Netherlands on 71 occasions in which she has scored seven goals.

After signing for Spurs, Pelova said “It feels nice to be here, I had a lovely welcome from everyone. When I had conversations with Martin [Ho], he was so good. It felt immediately right to go to Spurs.

“I can’t wait for the season, and I’m so happy to be here.”

Pelova is Spurs’ fourth signing of the summer transfer window. The North Londoners have also added Shekiera Martinez, Caitlin Dijkstra and Kirsty Hanson to their squad so far this summer. Spurs had agreed most of their transfer deals going into the close season.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Beth England will leave the club when her contract expires this summer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

The 31-year-old attacker joined Spurs from Chelsea in January 2023. England has gone on to net 32 goals for Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League. She is the club’s all-time top scorer in the English top flight. England was a member of the Spurs side that were Adobe Women’s FA Cup runners-up in 2023/2024.

After England’s departure was announced, Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Managing Director, Andy Rogers said “Bethany’s leadership has shaped a defining era in the history of Tottenham Hotspur Women. Upon arrival, she drove a rise in standards, professionalism and desire, and she has continued to uphold and push these values throughout her time here.

“As well as her incredible contributions on the pitch, Bethany has been instrumental in connecting with our fans to bring them closer to the team, and committing herself to our Foundation to ensure we are making a positive impact on the community around us.

“Bethany has etched her name in Spurs Women history, and can leave feeling proud of the lasting impact she has made on the Club.”

England is one of six players to be leaving Spurs this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the news that Amy James-Turner, Luana Bühler, Charlotte Grant and Josefine Rybrink will leave the club this summer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

Defender James-Turner is the longest-serving of those players who are departing. She has spent the last four seasons in North London. Bühler has also been with Spurs for a considerable period while Grant and Rybrink have largely contributed to the team within the last couple of campaigns.

The quintet are likely to leave Spurs in an excellent position with The Lilywhites set to seal a top half of the table finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Spurs have really caught the eye this season under the guidance of new boss Martin Ho.

After James-Turner, Bühler, Grant and Rybrink’s departures were announced, Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Managing Director, Andy Rogers said “Amy, Luana, Charli and Josefine have each provided a fantastic service to Tottenham Hotspur, they have been valued members of our group. We thank them for their contributions to the Club and wish them the best for the future.”

The quintet join forward Kit Graham in leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Liverpool collected their first win of the season in the Barclays Women’s Super League as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at BrewDog Stadium in St Helens this afternoon.

Mia Enderby netted an injury-time double as The Reds finally claimed maximum points at the 13th time of asking.

Liverpool had an early chance to break the deadlock but recent signing Alice Bergström’s effort bounced off the woodwork. Ceri Holland then had an attempt but her shot went just over before Fuka Nagano’s perfectly-angled shot was saved by visiting keeper Lize Kop.

The Reds continued to search for a goal and Cornelia Kapocs slipped the ball to Aurélie Csillag, who tried to shoot but Kop dived low and caught the ball with ease.

Spurs were struggling to create decent goalscoring chances. Olivia Holdt registered an effort on goal just before half-time but it didn’t threaten Liverpool keeper Jennifer Falk.

There was a huge chance for Spurs to open the scoring early in the second half. Signe Gaupset went one-on-one with Falk but the keeper made a big save.

At the other end, Bergström had a perfect chance but once again, she sent her effort over the bar as the frustration grew for the home side.

The Reds kept the pressure on and Holland broke down the left and sent the ball through to Kapocs but she fired just wide of the post.

The game looked set to end goalless but deep in second half stoppage time, Liverpool finally got off the mark. Jenna Clark crossed the ball and Enderby got a touch to send it straight into the back of the net.

Just moments later, Liverpool netted again. Enderby stole the ball from Eveliina Summanen and fired her shot past Kop to complete her brace.

After this afternoon’s result, Liverpool remain bottom of the table while Spurs are fifth.

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Chelsea forward Maika Hamano on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this morning.

The 21-year-old Japanese international joined Chelsea from WE League club INAC Kobe Leonessa back in January 2023. She spent the remainder of that season playing OBOS Damallsvenskan football whilst on loan at Hammarby IF before furthering her development back at Chelsea. Hamano has gone on to make close to 50 appearances for The Blues but game time has been limited recently and she needs more regular football.

On the international stage, Hamano has been capped by Japan on 26 occasions in which she has scored six goals.

After joining Spurs, Hamano said “Watching the team this season, I really felt they’ve been playing some great football and I thought if I joined this team, I could develop a lot as a player.

“I want to show fans the connection with my team-mates and exciting plays. At the end of the day, football is about winning and I’ll do my best to contribute to the team’s success.”

Hamano is Spurs’ fourth signing of the January transfer window.

Chelsea continued their long unbeaten run in the Barclays Women’s Super League with a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Kingsmeadow this afternoon.

A second half strike from Keira Walsh proved to be the difference as The Blues remained at the league summit.

Chelsea started the game with plenty of intensity and Alyssa Thompson came close to an opener in the opening three minutes, but her effort was too high.

Spurs’ first chance on goal came from Cathinka Tandberg, whose shot was deflected wide by Nathalie Björn.

Chelsea continued to search for an opener and Erin Cuthbert tried her luck with a free-kick, but the ball was claimed by Lize Kop at the far side of the goal.

After a frustrating first half for both sides, Thompson created the first chance on goal of the second period, but her right-footed shot went wide after Kop’s intervention. Ellie Carpenter then saw a long-range effort clear the crossbar.

Sonia Bompastor’s side eventually found the opener just after the hour mark through Walsh. She netted her first goal for Chelsea with a right-footed shot from outside of the box.

Spurs looked to equalise through Matilda Vinberg’s free-kick, but her shot hit the Chelsea wall.

In the end, Chelsea held on to claim another three points which keeps them at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table.

Chelsea are back in action when they play host to Paris FC in their latest UEFA Women’s Champions League fixture on Wednesday while Tottenham Hotspur’s next fixture is a home Subway Women’s League Cup tie against Birmingham City on Sunday.

German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur winger Hayley Raso on a two-year deal.

The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 30-year-old makes the move to Germany after spending one season with Spurs. Raso made 16 appearances for The Lilywhites in all competitions after joining the club following her departure from former side Real Madrid.

Raso has spent the last five-and-a-half-years playing her football in Europe. In addition to her spells with Spurs and Real Madrid, she has also turned out for Everton and Manchester City.

After joining Eintracht Frankfurt, Raso said “I had very good discussions with the management here at Eintracht. I really like the club and the city. The German Bundesliga is one of the top leagues in women’s football and a place where I want to be.

“After stints in the USA, Spain and England, I will now experience German football for the first time. I’m very excited to be here and get started. I hope that I can help the team with my national and international experience and contribute my strengths.”

Raso’s move comes as no surprise with the player having been linked with a Spurs exit for several weeks.
