£60m Tottenham player could now sign for Fulham, a deal would be ‘easy’ to do - TBR Football
Description

Fulham have been the quietest team in the Premier League during this summer transfer window.

Indeed, the Whites have made just one signing so far this summer, and even then that was a backup goalkeeper on a free transfer.

However, as we head into the final weeks of the season, things could get interesting at Craven Cottage.

Rodrigo Muniz may be set to leave Fulham. Atalanta are keen on Muniz, while Newcastle have looked at Muniz too as Alexander Isak could join Liverpool.

Speaking on Transfers Exposed, The Sun’s Dean Scoggins has been discussing Fulham’s striker situation, and he says that the Whites could sign a high-profile player to replace Muniz.

Richarlison could replace Rodrigo Muniz

Scoggins spoke about Muniz’s situation at Fulham.

The journalist named both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest as potential suitors.

Meanwhile, he spoke up the idea of Richarlison heading to Fulham, claiming that this would be an easy deal for Fulham to do, noting that Marco Silva is a big fan of Richarlison from their time together for both Everton and Watford.

“Muniz could leave Fulham um with Forest looking at another striker up top,” Scoggins said.

“Newcastle could come into that reckoning as well.

“Richarlison to Fulham would be a very easy deal then to do after that. Silva is a big fan of Richarlison, signed him at Everton. There’s a bit of a deal to be done there.

Richarlison’s record under Marco Silva

A move to Fulham would make the world of sense for Richarlison.

Sadly, Richarlison has flopped at Tottenham, and he doesn’t appear to have much of a future in north London at this point.

However, he could still be an asset within the Premier League, and he knows Marco Silva very well from his time at Watford and Everton.

Richarlison actually has a fantastic record under Silva over the years.

Richarlison cost Tottenham £60m a few years ago, but Fulham will surely be looking to do a cheaper deal here as the striker’s stock has fallen considerably in recent times.

Harry Redknapp explained why Cristian Romero might be a poor Tottenham captain earlier this year

Description

Following Son Heung-min’s departure to LAFC, Tottenham Hotspur have announced Cristian Romero as their new captain.

Son is already impressing in the MLS, and it did feel like the right time for the Tottenham legend to move on.

Of course, Spurs are about to start a new era under Thomas Frank, and there will now be an excellent chance for new leaders to step forward.

Despite tons of speculation over Cristian Romero’s Tottenham future, the Argentina international has now been named as the club’s new captain.

And after Frank chose to leave Yves Bissouma out of Spurs’ Super Cup squad, the Tottenham manager must have zero doubts about Romero’s professionalism and commitment to the cause.

Harry Redknapp called Cristian Romero ‘unreliable’ at Tottenham

That being said, one or two fans might be surprised by Romero being handed the captain’s armband in wake of Son leaving.

Since his arrival from Atalanta in 2022, Romero has never shied away from controversial moments on the pitch – he’s a player who truly wears his heart on his sleeve.

Moreover, in 124 games for Tottenham, Romero has already been sent off four times.

And perhaps with that in mind, former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp described Romero as ‘crazy’ when speaking earlier this year.

In May on ‘We Are Tottenham TV’, Redknapp was asked to choose a Spurs eleven made up of current players and ones who played during his time as manager.

When choosing between Romero and Michael Dawson at centre-back, Redknapp said: “Romero is a World Cup winner. He’s a bit crazy, isn’t he? Unreliable, gets sent off, kicks people.”

And although Romero somewhat improved in that respect towards the end of last season, those are not words you’d want associated with the captain of your team.

Cristian Romero gets reward for ignoring Atletico Madrid interest

In fairness to Romero, he is still a logical choice when you look past his ill-discipline at times.

The 27-year-old is clearly a leader and winner, as he proved during his World Cup triumph with Argentina.

That explains why Atletico Madrid wanted to sign Romero this summer, and perhaps Frank’s captaincy call is partially a reward for the defender deciding to stay.

And in actual fact, being appointed captain might lead to Romero becoming a calmer and more reliable presence on the pitch, which may even aid his consistency as a centre-back too.

Clearly Romero has a ton of talent, but he’s often let Spurs down over the years in crucial moments – a trait Frank will be keen to wipe out.

Redknapp is clearly a fan of Romero’s talent, he wouldn’t be so torn between him and Dawson for his combined eleven otherwise.

But he was right to raise concerns about the defender’s recklessness at the time, and that is something Spurs will have had to consider when handing him the captaincy.

Description

TBR Football can confirm that contract talks with Djed Spence have accelerated over recent weeks, with Tottenham Hotspur keen to reward his impressive form.

Only last summer did Spence sign a new deal in North London, but following an impressive breakout campaign in the capital, Spurs are ready to reward him.

The 25-year-old has become a key member of Spurs’ squad with his ability to play on either side of the defence, a really useful asset.

Spence could start in Tottenham’s first-ever UEFA Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening, highlighting his importance to the team.

Djed Spence has been impressing Thomas Frank at Tottenham

Djed Spence has really impressed Thomas Frank during the Danish head coach’s time at Tottenham Hotspur, sources have told TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent, Graeme Bailey.

Spurs’ new manager has been most impressed by the defender’s versatility, as he can play as both a left-back and right-back.

Spence looked great against Bukayo Saka during Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Arsenal during their pre-season tour of Asia.

Bailey told TBR Football: “Spurs are really happy with Spence and Thomas Frank has been really impressed since arriving. I am told he is one of the players who has shone since Frank’s arrival.

“I get the idea that Spence has a major, major role to play for Spurs heading into the new season.”

Now, an initial four-year deal has been offered to the defender and is not far off being signed.

The new contract offer also involves a significant pay rise for Spence, who thinks he has a good chance of going to the World Cup next year.

Djed Spence’s hopes of going to 2026 World Cup

Spence, who Mikey Moore called ‘rapid’, faces strong competition for a spot in England’s 2026 World Cup squad as Thomas Tuchel has plenty of top options to pick from.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the most likely option for right-back, meanwhile, Myles Lewis-Skelly is making great progress at left-back.

Spence will need to be playing most matches at Tottenham and impressing the Three Lions’ boss with his performances to stand a chance of even breaking into the squad.

But after the last 12 months in a Spurs shirt, the 25-year-old has shown that he has the potential to make a strong case for his inclusion.

Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer window is really starting to kick into life, but Spurs aren’t just working on incomings right now.

The North London club’s squad has become rather bloated, and as they look to make further additions in the coming weeks, moving players on will also be key.

The Lilywhites have made just one sale so far this window, with Son Heung-min joining LAFC in a deal worth around £20 million.

But now, another attacker could be joining him in heading for the exit door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Manor Solomon has interest from Premier League and La Liga clubs

Manor Solomon has been receiving calls over recent days to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Clubs from England and Spain have been in contact with the winger to find out whether he would be available for transfer.

TBR Football revealed earlier this summer that Tottenham wanted £20m for Solomon when Leeds United were keen to make his loan move permanent.

Solomon, who Kevin de Bruyne called ‘excellent’, was left out of Spurs’ Asian pre-season tour squad and it’s clear that he is not in Thomas Frank’s plans.

Everton had shown an interest in signing Solomon, but have since moved on to other options, with Jack Grealish arriving at Goodison Park.

Solomon was spotted back in Tottenham training in early July, but has not featured for the club in over 22 months.

Tottenham are looking to add to their attacking options, having held talks with Eberechi Eze and negotiations are ongoing over a deal for Savinho with Man City.

Man City’s Rodrygo interest could boost Tottenham’s Savinho hopes

Manchester City’s interest in Rodrygo is genuine, but he will only join if Savinho were to move to Tottenham, Romano has revealed.

At the moment, Tottenham and Man City are yet to find an agreement, but talks remain ongoing between the two clubs.

Romano told his YouTube channel: “The Rodrygo deal can only happen if Savinho goes to Tottenham and at the moment, there is still no agreement between Tottenham and Manchester City.

“So let’s see what’s going to happen with the Savinho story, let’s see what’s going to happen with the Rodrygo story. I can confirm 100 percent that City’s interest is genuine, but this deal can only happen.”

Michael Dawson thinks Tottenham Hotspur have just missed out on an ideal signing, ‘what a gem’

Michael Dawson thinks Tottenham Hotspur have just missed out on an ideal signing, ‘what a gem’ - TBR Football
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for another playmaker, but Jack Grealish will not be making a move to North London this month.

Thomas Frank is gearing up for his first season in charge of Tottenham Hotspur and kicks off his season against Burnley.

Spurs will be heavy favourites to beat the newly-promoted Clarets, though Frank will head into the game without his first-choice playmakers.

Dejan Kulusevski remains on the treatment table, while James Maddison will now miss the season after a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury.

That leaves Tottenham in the market for another creative force, with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze on the Spurs radar.

Michael Dawson on Jack Grealish to Tottenham Hotspur

A deal for Eze won’t be easy, so Spurs will have a number of creative talents in mind for a potential move.

One name to cross off the list is Jack Grealish, who completed a move to Everton on Tuesday.

Grealish has been made available by Manchester City after falling down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order.

Tottenham backed away from Grealish despite Maddison’s injury, and he has now finalised a loan switch to Everton.

Pundit and former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has now told Sky Sports that he wanted to see Grealish join Spurs.

Dawson believes that Everton is a good move for Grealish, but he thinks a move to Spurs would have really made sense.

The ex-Spurs centre-back even backed Grealish to work his way back into the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

“Jack needs to go and play football,” said Dawson.

“People say ‘is it the right club for him?’, I tell you what, it fits the bill. I would have liked to have seen him at Tottenham, I really would, but it’s in the North West, it fits, he doesn’t have to move, he’s going to go there and play. We know the quality that Jack Grealish possesses. I’m a huge, huge fan of him.

“Everton, when he goes and pulls that blue shirt on, they will be looking and thinking ‘wow, what a gem we’ve got on loan here’, and if he performs at the level we know he can, he could quite easily be back in that England squad come the World Cup,” he added.

Tottenham eyeing up attacking midfielders

Eze would be an enormous coup for Tottenham, with the Crystal Palace star a proven Premier League force.

Whether Spurs will fund a move for Eze remains to be seen, but other options are already emerging.

Tottenham have eyed Como’s Nico Paz, though a deal looks unlikely as he looks set for Real Madrid in 2026.

The Daily Mail now add that Spurs also fancy Facundo Buonanotte, who is back at Brighton and Hove Albion after a loan spell with Leicester City.

Spurs remain interested in signing Savinho from Manchester City, and the budget for a number 10 may depend on progress over the Brazilian.

Frank may hope for two attacking additions before the window slams shut, and will back Spurs to bring in permanent additions rather than a loan such as Grealish.

Thomas Frank predicts ‘great future’ for £12.5m Tottenham Hotspur player, ‘very pleased with him’

Thomas Frank predicts ‘great future’ for £12.5m Tottenham Hotspur player, ‘very pleased with him’ - TBR Football
Description

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank could be set for a busy end to the transfer window as he tweaks his squad.

The new Premier League season is now just days away, and Tottenham Hotspur are hoping for an improvement.

Ange Postecoglou lost his job as Tottenham boss over the summer, as a poor Premier League record outweighed Europa League success.

Thomas Frank is on board and will surely want further new signings, with Tottenham preparing for life in the Champions League.

Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel turned their loan moves permanent, Kota Takai arrived from Kawasaki Frontale, and Tottenham snapped up Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.

More signings are needed, but Frank may also look to keep hold of some fringe players amid mounting interest elsewhere.

Thomas Frank on Antonin Kinsky

Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky fits the bill, despite only joining Tottenham for £12.5million from Slavia Prague in January.

The Czech stopper came straight into the Spurs side with Guglielmo Vicario out of action, but lost his place once the Italian returned.

Kinsky finished the season with 10 appearances to his name and looks set to start the season as second-choice stopper behind Vicario.

Lille have been interested in signing Kinsky, though, with Spurs described in France as being ‘greedy’ over a potential loan deal.

Lille want Kinsky following Lucas Chevalier’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, but Tottenham appear to have shut down that potential domino effect.

Spurs boss Frank has now told Football London that he is ‘very pleased’ with Kinsky, and believes the 22-year-old is a ‘very good goalkeeper’.

Frank added a prediction, suggesting that Kinsky will have a ‘great future’ in the game, preferably with Tottenham, as the Dane made it clear that no Spurs exit will materialise.

“He’s a very good goalkeeper, very pleased with him,” said Frank. “We are privileged to have three good goalkeepers in Vicario, Antonin and Brandon. There was good competition last year. Clearly we need good keepers in the squad. Antonin, in my opinion, has a great future ahead of him and he is clearly a Tottenham player this season,” he added.

Rumours over Antonin Kinsky’s future could emerge again in 2026

Frank appears to have ruled out any departure for Kinsky this summer, meaning Lille must now look elsewhere.

Rumours are likely to re-emerge once more in 2026, though, with Kinsky expected to spend most of the season on the bench.

If that is the case, more clubs may fancy testing the water with a move to prise Kinsky away with the lure of first-team football.

It’s difficult to see Kinsky displacing Vicario any time soon, and Frank is certainly blessed to have such strong competition in goal.

Young goalkeepers are often only content with playing second fiddle for so long, though, and Kinsky may have his head turned by suitors if he can’t push for first-team action at Tottenham this season.

After Eberechi Eze talks, Tottenham add new 'very high-level' attacker to Thomas Frank's list of targets - TBR Football
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to add to Thomas Frank’s attack with Eberechi Eze one of the players with whom they have started talks to sign.

TBR Football understands that Tottenham have held talks to sign Eze in a deal which could be worth in excess of £60 million.

Spurs have ramped up their interest in the England international after James Maddison’s knee injury looks set to rule him out for the majority of the new campaign.

But Eze is not the only Premier League attacker Tottenham are targeting, and they have now added another forward to their list of targets.

Facundo Buonanotte added to Tottenham’s list of targets

Tottenham Hotspur have added Brighton and Hove Albion attacker Facundo Buonanotte to their list of targets, according to Mail Sport.

Buonanotte, who’s been described as ‘very high level’, has joined a list of Eze, Savinho and Nico Paz as targets for the North London club.

TBR Football revealed back in November that Buonanotte was a target for the Lilywhites, and now he is back on their radar.

The 20-year-old had a mixed campaign on loan at Leicester City last term as he managed five goals and two assists in 31 Premier League matches.

West Ham United, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are also chasing the Argentine; meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be keen.

TBR Football can reveal that Man City are keen to keep Savinho and will not make negotiations for the 21-year-old easy.

Paz is unlikely to join Tottenham, with Real Madrid keen to bring him back to the Spanish capital at some point in the near future.

Tottenham could face competition from Arsenal for Eze, meaning that lining up other targets will be key to avoid being left short.

Tottenham are willing to pay £60m to sign Eberechi Eze

Tottenham are willing to pay around £60m to sign Eze and are hoping to get a deal wrapped up quickly for the forward, according to Ben Jacobs.

Spurs have made contact with Palace to learn the terms of his release clause and look prepared to get the deal over the line.

Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “I’m told Spurs are prepared to do a deal right now at £60 million and they want to move fast.

“They’ve also approached Crystal Palace to understand the terms, either behind triggering the release clause or matching it, even after it goes away, that may inform Crystal Palace’s valuation.”

Tim Vickery shares ‘dynamite’ factor which could tempt Savinho into signing for Tottenham Hotspur

Tim Vickery shares 'dynamite' factor which could tempt Savinho into signing for Tottenham Hotspur - TBR Football
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have already splashed the cash on Mohammed Kudus, but could add more quality out wide with a move for Savinho.

Son Heung-min has waved goodbye to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, securing a move to Major League Soccer side LAFC.

New Spurs boss Thomas Frank had already landed one new winger, with Mohammed Kudus joining Tottenham from West Ham United in July.

Son’s departure leaves Tottenham searching for another wide man, though, with Manchester City’s Savinho emerging as the top target.

City are reluctant to sell Savinho, but Real Madrid’s Rodrygo fancies a move to the Etihad Stadium, and Spurs will be paying close attention.

Tim Vickery on Savinho to Tottenham Hotspur

City snapped up Savinho last summer, luring him over from Troyes after shining on loan at Girona – two clubs within the City Football Group.

The 21-year-old endured a mixed debut campaign in the Premier League, racking up 10 assists but finding the net just once.

Savinho certainly has potential, but City have so many options in the final third and Pep Guardiola may yet be tempted to cash in.

Brazilian football expert Tim Vickery has shared his verdict on the rumours, telling Sky Sports that a move to Spurs would be a ‘surprise’ for Savinho, but the World Cup is a big factor.

Vickery highlighted that Savinho wants to book his place at the 2026 World Cup, and may feel that he needs to play regularly in order to lock down a spot in the Brazil squad.

Savinho was not named in Carlo Ancelotti’s first Brazil squad earlier this summer, though his role for City at the Club World Cup may have been a considerable factor.

Vickery believes Savinho probably wouldn’t even be interested in joining Spurs if it wasn’t for the World Cup, with next summer’s tournament offering ‘dynamite’ factor to a potential Savinho exit.

“I think it would be a surprise,” said Vickery.

“He didn’t have a bad debut season with City, but he didn’t have the impact that many were expecting, and perhaps not the impact that he himself was expecting.

“I don’t really think that that’s so much his fault, I think that’s City… the little collapse they had after Rodri got injured.

“What’s crucial here is the timing. Remember, we’re on the countdown now to the World Cup, and Savinho was beginning to establish himself in the Brazil team. He played six World Cup qualifiers in a row, either starting or off the bench, and then in came Carlo Ancelotti.

“Now, Ancelotti’s first squad for qualifiers in early June… Savinho wasn’t even in it. Now, that I’m sure has set off alarm bells. So, I’m sure in his mind, there must be a temptation… ‘if I can go to a club that gives me Champions League football, where I can be more important than at City, perhaps I can shine, catch Ancelotti’s eye and attention, and get myself back into international contention in time for the World Cup’.

“I think if it wasn’t for the World Cup, it’s very unlikely that we’d be discussing this, because I’m not sure he’d be interested. But in the countdown to 2026, I think that’s putting a little bit of dynamite behind this one,” he added.

Pep Guardiola’s stance on Savinho

City snapped up Omar Marmoush in January before adding Rayan Cherki this summer, while the likes of Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva are also options out wide.

Jack Grealish is on his way out, but City’s interest in Rodrigo means that Savinho’s future appears a little uncertain.

City boss Pep Guardiola was certainly a fan of Savinho last season, telling Manchester Evening News that the Brazilian winger has ‘incredible potential’.

Guardiola believes Savinho can become ‘extraordinary’ if he just improves on his end product in the near future.

“He is a player with incredible potential,” said Guardiola. “We cannot forget he’s so young.

“He needs to make the final third more decisive in aspects like the goal he has done in the last game. He has to do it more. The last goal is more and more complicated and difficult to score than the previous ones – one against ones, the ‘keeper, that maybe last season he missed.

“The moment he will make this step, which will come in a natural way because he has incredible individual quality, when it arrives for his commitment to say I want to do it, I want to be decisive, I want to score goals and make more assists, he will become an extraordinary player.

“He can play on both sides, right and left, he’s so fast, he understands tactically the movements he has so to do so that’s why he can play with us,” he added.

City seemingly have high hopes for Savinho, but Tottenham will look to make a statement signing and lure the former Atletico Mineiro talent to North London.

How Tottenham feel about signing Eberechi Eze after stepping up Savinho talks - TBR Football
Description

TBR Football understands that Tottenham Hotspur have rekindled their interest in signing Eberechi Eze this summer.

Eze’s release clause has now expired, but Crystal Palace remain open to selling the forward, hopefully in excess of £60 million.

Arsenal remain in the race for Eze, but are assessing their options as the transfer window enters the final three weeks.

Their North London rivals have now rejoined them in the race to sign the 27-year-old, with Eze’s name set to dominate headlines over the next three weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with Eberechi Eze’s team this month to discuss a potential move to N17, sources have told TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent, Graeme Bailey.

Eze, who Jermain Defoe tipped Tottenham to sign, still has plenty of interest with Arsenal and Manchester City still in the race.

The Gunners have been pursuing the England international for several weeks now, but are still undecided about whether to make a move for him.

Meanwhile, City are close to moving on both Jack Grealish and James McAtee, with potentially Savinho also heading to Tottenham.

But Thomas Frank’s team are ready to test the waters with a move for the Palace attacker in the aftermath of James Maddison’s knee injury.

Bailey told TBR Football: “Tottenham have spoken to Eze’s camp this month, I have been told that and it is not a shock.

“It is not to say Arsenal have gone away, but they are still considering their options in that regard.

“So Spurs do need a couple of players in the area that Eze is deployed, so let’s see how this moves on.

“I am also told that Manchester City should not be discounted, they have previously liked Eze. Now with Jack Grealish, James McAtee and potentially Savinho going – it could make some sense.”

Tottenham will sign one of Eberechi Eze or Savinho

At this stage, Tottenham sources tell TBR Football that only one of Eze or Savinho will be signed, but deals for both cannot be completely ruled out.

However, Spurs have just lost Son Heung-min to LAFC and Maddison to a serious injury, so they are properly assessing their attacking options.

TBR Football revealed Tottenham’s interest in Savinho last week and the Lilywhites have now stepped up their talks to sign the Brazilian international.

The Lilywhites are now looking to bring at least one of those players to North London to bolster Frank’s attacking options.

Son Heung-min says one Tottenham player is so ‘scary’ just days after leaving Spurs - TBR Football
Description

Son Heung-min left Tottenham Hotspur this summer after a decade at the club.

The South Korea international is an absolute legend at Spurs, having played 454 games for Spurs in all competitions over 10 years.

Son’s final competitive game for the North Londoners came in Bilbao against Manchester United, and fittingly, he helped Tottenham win the Europa League that night.

The 33-year-old completed his move to LA Galaxy in the first week of August, thus bringing an end to his iconic Spurs career.

Son Heung-min says Tottenham star Cristian Romero is ‘scary’

Cristian Romero is likely to be named as the new captain of Tottenham Hotspur following Son Heung-min’s departure.

The Argentina international joined Spurs in the summer of 2021, initially on loan. That move was made permanent in the following year, and he is arguably their best defender.

Romero was in the leadership group at Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, and he has worn the captain’s armband on many occasions over the last two years.

It remains to be seen if Thomas Frank will officially name Romero as his captain in the coming days, but what’s clear is that Son rates the Argentine very highly.

Just days after leaving Tottenham, the Korean played a game of word association on Goal USA’s social channels.

When asked to name a player who is ‘scary’, Son replied without any hesitation: “Cuti Romero!”

Tottenham received a huge Cristian Romero boost this summer

Romero looked certain to leave Tottenham this summer.

The 27-year-old has aimed a few digs at the Spurs hierarchy over the last two years, and following the sacking of Postecoglou, many felt Romero would leave.

There were numerous reports linking the defender with a move to Spain to join either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone even publicly admitted that he admires Romero, thus fueling the speculation.

However, no move materialised in the end, and it looks like Romero will be staying at Tottenham beyond the end of this summer’s transfer window.

That is a massive boost for Spurs and Frank.
