Premier League switch? Tottenham 'interested' in - Sports Mole
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk.

The 26-year-old has been a key part of the Yorkshire side's return to the Premier League following Championship promotion last term.

Struijk has started all six of the top-flight matches so far for Daniel Farke's side, helping the team to positive results over recent weeks.

The Whites secured a 3-1 success at relegation rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers last week, before sharing the spoils with Bournemouth at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Since making the move for the youth setup of Ajax in January 2018, Struijk has featured on 167 occasions for Leeds, scoring 14 goals.

Tottenham keen on Leeds star Struijk?

According to CaughtOffside, Champions League-competing Tottenham are targeting some Premier League players ahead of the winter window.

The report claims that the Europa League champions are interested in securing the services of Leeds defender Struijk in the New Year.

It is understood that Spurs boss Thomas Frank is a massive admirer of the 26-year-old, who is approaching eight full years at Elland Road.

It is believed that Struijk's capabilities as a left-footed defender are extremely attractive to the North Londoners, who won their first trophy in 17 years last term.

Such a key player at the Yorkshire-based club, the centre-back has two years remaining on his current deal with Leeds, who could be preparing to wave goodbye to the player.

Tottenham's defensive options

Since the start of the Ange Postecoglou era in North London in the summer of 2023, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have formed the first-choice defensive partnership.

The Dutchman provides blistering pace on the recovery, whilst the Argentine World Cup winners brings a no-nonsense attitude to the backline.

That being said, head coach Frank is always looking for improvements in the squad, with Struijk a left-footer who interests the Lilywhites.

Tottenham lineup vs. Bodo/Glimt: Predicted XI for Champions League clash as Xavi Simons dropped

Simons dropped, Sarr starts: Predicted Spurs XI vs. - Sports Mole
Description

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank is still sweating over the fitness of two strikers for Tuesday's Champions League scrap with Bodo/Glimt in the Arctic Circle.

The Lilywhites remained without Randal Kolo Muani (dead leg) and Dominic Solanke (ankle) for Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, where they only snatched a leveller in the final few seconds courtesy of a Joao Palhinha finish.

Kolo Muani and Solanke's problems are both taking longer to heal than initially anticipated, and it would be a surprise if either man was cleared to make their comeback in midweek, so Richarlison should go without a rest for now.

However, Frank may feel the need to freshen up his attacking options after Saturday's stale display, so Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert can feel optimistic of replacing Mohammed Kudus and Wilson Odobert from the first whistle.

Pape Sarr - a substitute at the weekend after recovering from a knock - is also in line for a recall to the midfield, potentially alongside Palhinha and Lucas Bergvall as Rodrigo Bentancur cedes his spot.

Pedro Porro was also restricted to second-half minutes against Wolves and will surely be promoted back to the first XI on Tuesday, likely over Destiny Udogie as Djed Spence shifts across to the left-hand side of the backline.

It would not be a complete surprise to see Kevin Danso make the cut too, potentially in Cristian Romero's place as Frank also keeps on eye on the upcoming Premier League battle with Leeds United on Saturday lunchtime.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:

Vicario; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Johnson, Richarlison, OdobertÂ

Preview: Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur

Preview: Bodo/Glimt vs Spurs - prediction, team news - Sports Mole
Description

Only four months after colliding in the semi-finals of the Europa League, Bodo/Glimt and Tottenham Hotspur reunite in the glitz and glamour of the Champions League league phase on Tuesday evening in the Arctic Circle.

With Ange Postecoglou at the helm, the Lilywhites slaughtered the Scandinavians 5-1 on aggregate in May, but the hosts nevertheless managed to force their way into the continental big time.

Match preview

En route to a long-awaited slice of silverware and coveted place in the Champions League, Tottenham made light work of Bodo/Glimt over two legs in last year's Europa League semis, following up a 3-1 North London success with a 2-0 triumph in Nordic territory.

With Postecoglou now trying to work his magic at Nottingham Forest - and failing thus far - Spurs head back to Bodo one for one under Thomas Frank in the 2025-26 Champions League, as the Dane masterminded a 1-0 success over Villarreal courtesy of an early Luiz Junior own goal.

The scoreline told the story of a nervy opening victory for the Europa League holders, but one that puts them on the verge of achieving something they have only ever done once before in a Champions League season; win both of their opening league phase/group-stage games.

The 2017-18 campaign represents the first - and so far only season - where Spurs have claimed two triumphs in their first two Champions League contests, and across all UEFA competitions, they have been beaten in just one of their last 13 games on the continent.

Nullifying Norwegian opponents also comes easily to the North London giants, who have won all six of their previous matches against sides from the Scandinavian country, and Frank's men enter the midweek battle on a five-game unbeaten sequence in all tournaments.

However, Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw with a hitherto pointless Wolverhampton Wanderers side may have felt like a defeat for Tottenham, even if Joao Palhinha's shirt-stripping celebration after his last-gasp equaliser suggested otherwise.

While Tottenham closed off the route to Champions League football via Europa League stardom for Bodo/Glimt, the Eliteserien winners were finally christened in Europe's premier competition thanks to a 6-2 aggregate success over Sturm Graz in the qualifying playoff round.

One of four clubs making their debuts in the Champions League proper this season - and now the northernmost team to ever compete in Europe's premier competition - Kjetil Knutsen's side provided value for money in matchweek one, pulling off an improbable comeback from two goals down against Czech outfit Slavia Prague.

The Scandinavians were ostensibly down and out when Youssoupha Mbodji doubled Slavia's lead in the 74th minute, but Daniel Bassi cut the deficit in half just a few moments later before Sondre Brunstad Fet rescued a point with 90 minutes on the clock.

The four-goal thriller at the Fortuna Arena represents the third game in a five-match unbeaten sequence for Tuesday's hosts, who took down Odds BK in Norwegian Cup action on Thursday evening, although that win came at quite the cost.

Team News

Spurs have been soldiering on without Dominic Solanke (ankle) and Randal Kolo Muani (dead leg) for the past couple of weeks, as both strikers' issues are taking longer to heal than anticipated, and they are only thought to be in with slim chances of returning here.

Long-serving defender Ben Davies (knee) should be the next cab off the rank but is also touch and go for Tuesday, while the injured and ineligible Dejan Kulusevski (knee), James Maddison (ACL), Radu Dragusin (ACL), Kota Takai (foot) and Yves Bissouma (unspecified) will play no part.

Mathys Tel not being selected for the league phase depletes Frank's attacking options further, so Richarlison should be afforded no respite at the tip of the attack for the time being.

On Bodo/Glimt's end, the cost of their recent NM Cup win over Odds BK was first-half injuries to centre-back Brede Moe and right-winger Bassi, who were both forced to leave the field with purported groin injuries.

Knutsen could not say for certain how severe the pair's problems were at full time, but even a light strain would put their participation at serious risk, so the duo could join captain Ulrik Saltnes (illness) on the sidelines for Tuesday's game.

Odin Bjortuft - a starter against Slavia Prague - should be first in line to replace Moe, while Ole Didrik Blomberg could step in for Bassi if Mathias Jorgensen fails to shake off a knock.

Bodo/Glimt possible starting lineup:

Lund; Sjovold, Bjortuft, Nielsen, Aleesami; Fet, Berg, Auklend; Blomberg, Hogh, Hauge

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:

Vicario; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Johnson, Richarlison, OdobertÂ

We say: Bodo/Glimt 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Â

Spurs' lack of ingenuity against the Premier League's basement side on Saturday was alarming, but a refreshed set of attacking options should get the job done in Norway.

While Bodo's unbeaten record is pleasing on the eye, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six games, and their defence will surely not hold out for the full 90.

Kolo Muani, Solanke, Davies latest: Spurs injury, suspension - Sports Mole
Description

Another trip to the Arctic Circle awaits Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night, as the Lilywhites reunite with Europa League semi-final foes Bodo/Glimt in the league phase of the Champions League.

Under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs overcame their Norwegian counterparts 5-1 on aggregate to reach the Europa League final last year, following up a 3-1 home triumph with a 2-0 success on Bodo's territory.

Thomas Frank also oversaw a 1-0 victory over Villarreal in this year's UCL opener, but Spurs needed a last-gasp Joao Palhinha equaliser to avoid defeat against Premier League basement boys Wolverhampton Wanderers in Saturday's 1-1 draw.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Bodo/Glimt, who held Slavia Prague to a 2-2 draw in their first-ever Champions League league phase/group-stage match.

Randal Kolo Muani

Status:Â Major doubt

Type of injury:Â Dead leg

Possible return date:Â September 30 (vs. Bodo/Glimt)

Randal Kolo Muani's dead leg - which he sustained in a training-ground clash with Pape Sarr - is taking longer to heal than initially expected, and his chances of returning on Tuesday are considered slim to none.

Ben Davies

Status:Â Major doubt

Type of injury:Â Knee

Possible return date:Â September 30 (vs. Bodo/Glimt)

Experienced defender Ben Davies is in with a better chance of returning from his knee issue for the trip to Norway, but the Wales international will still need a once-over ahead of kickoff.

Yves Bissouma

Status:Â Out

Type of injury:Â Unspecified

Possible return date:Â Unknown

Yves Bissouma is still waiting to make his Tottenham debut under Frank, having sustained an unspecified issue a few weeks ago, and there is no timeframe on his return to competitive action.Â

Kota Takai

Status: Out

Type of injury:Â Foot/ineligible

Possible return date:Â October 4 (vs. Leeds United)

Japanese defender Kota Takai would have been in full training with the team for nearly a week by the time Tuesday's game rolls around, but he has been left out of the squad for the league phase anyway.

Radu Dragusin

Status: Out

Type of injury:Â ACL

Possible return date:Â October 19 (vs. Aston Villa)

Radu Dragusin is on course to return from his ACL issue during the autumn months, but the Romanian is still a few weeks away - at least - from being considered for senior matchday squads again.

Dejan Kulusevski

Status: Out

Type of injury:Â Knee

Possible return date:Â November 29 (vs. Fulham)

Frank has confirmed that he expects Dejan Kulusevski to return from his severe knee issue before the end of 2025, but a comeback before late November is unlikely.

James Maddison

Status: Out

Type of injury:Â ACL

Possible return date:Â Unknown

James Maddison's 2025-26 season ended before it had even started due to the cruel ACL injury he suffered in pre-season, and the playmaker's hopes of representing England at the 2026 World Cup have also been dashed.

Dominic Solanke

Status: Major doubt

Type of injury:Â Ankle

Possible return date:Â September 30 (vs. Bodo/Glimt)

Dominic Solanke's ankle problem is proving "tricky" for the striker to overcome - Frank has admitted - but he has been training outdoors again and might be in with a slight chance of making the squad in midweek.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match, but Mathys Tel is also unavailable on account of being left out of Tottenham's UCL league-phase squad.

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank's side will carry a five-game unbeaten run into Tuesday's fixture after Joao Palhinha netted a stoppage-time equaliser in Saturday's dramatic draw with Wolves.Â

They have also avoided defeat in all three of their away matches this season (W2, D1), but rather than simply avoiding defeat, Spurs will be hoping to start their Champions League campaign with back-to-back victories.Â

Wolves' winless woes continue as Spurs strike last-gasp - Sports Mole
Description

Wolverhampton Wanderers' winless woes continued on Saturday night as Tottenham Hotspur struck late to snatch a 1-1 draw in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur looked the more likely of the two to break the deadlock in the first half, even having the ball in the net through Mohammed Kudus' offside strike, though Wolves appeared largely comfortable defensively and even threatened on occasions, and the scores ultimately remained tied heading into the break.

Wolves were the better of the two from the restart, swiftly taking the lead just 10 minutes in when Santiago Bueno turned home from close range, and the visitors appeared certain to register their first win of the campaign as the clock ticked towards the final whistle.Â

However, Wolves hearts were broken late on as Joao Palhinha curled in from outside the box in the final minutes to secure a last-gasp point in the Premier League.

SPORTS MOLE'S VERDICT

Tottenham Hotspur looked measured in their approach during the first half, but all form of composure appeared to disappear following Bueno's opener.Â

The Old Gold were hugely improved after their opening goal, boosting them to beat Tottenham to almost every ball, while they were far more aggressive in both their defensive and attacking actions.Â

Vitor Pereira's side were impressive throughout the entire 90 minutes, especially in defence as they limited Spurs to very few chances of note, particularly in the second half as they were on the front foot for the majority, while their defensive shape limited Tottenham to hopeful crosses and strikes from distance.

However, one of those long-ranged strikes eventually proved worthwhile for Spurs, as Joao Palhinha curled in from outside the box to secure a last-gasp draw - a strong show of persistence from the hosts.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS. WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS HIGHLIGHTS

Santiago Bueno goal vs. Tottenham Hotspur (54th min, Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Wolves have the lead! Bueno nets from close range!

Jhon Arias delivers a whipped corner towards the penalty spot, where Ladislav Krejci meets the cross and directs his header towards the far corner.

Guglielmo Vicario parries the header away, but the ball strikes Joao Palhinha and lands at the feet of Bueno, who stabs his strike over the goalkeeper and into the net.

Joao Palhinha goal vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers (94th min, Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Palhinha has stolen the victory away from Wolves! What a finish from the midfielder!

Mathys Tel delivers a cross into the box, but it only goes as far as Pape Sarr just inside the penalty area, and the midfielder lays it off to Palhinha.Â

Palhinha opens up his body and sensationally curls his strike into the bottom right corner, surely securing a point at the death for Spurs.

MAN OF THE MATCH - SANTIAGO BUENO

Bueno was brilliant in both boxes for Wolverhampton Wanderers today, scoring their goal and helping their solid defence for much of the match.Â

Not only did the defender score their only goal, but Bueno also registered the most tackles (four) and won the most duels (12), while also making three interceptions and four clearances.

Arias also deserves a mention, with the attacker battling defensively for Wolves while also being one of the most creative players on the pitch.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS. WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS MATCH STATS

Possession: Tottenham Hotspur 52%-48% Wolverhampton Wanderers

Shots: Tottenham Hotspur 10-9 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Shots on target:Â Tottenham Hotspur 3-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Corners: Tottenham Hotspur 10-9 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Fouls: Tottenham Hotspur 9-11 Wolverhampton Wanderers

WHAT NEXT?

Tottenham Hotspur will return to European action on Tuesday when they travel to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt, looking to secure their second win in the Champions League league phase.Â

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers will have just over a week's rest before returning to the Molineux Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

Tottenham transfer news: Spurs ready to make Rangers loan decision over 'unhappy' Mikey Moore

Tottenham transfer news: Spurs ready to make Rangers loan decision over 'unhappy' Mikey Moore - Sports Mole
Description

Tottenham are reportedly prepared to recall Mikey Moore from his Rangers loan spell in January.Â

The Tottenham academy product spent the 2024-25 season on the fringes of Ange Postecoglou's squad, settling for 19 appearances in all competitions.Â

Moore spent part of pre-season working under new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank, before he was sent out on loan to Rangers at the start of August.Â

The 18-year-old has started five of his seven appearances for Russell Martin's side, including a starting opportunity in Thursday's 1-0 defeat to Genk in the Europa League.

However, the Tottenham loanee was withdrawn at half time following Mohamed Diomande's red card in the closing stages of the first period.

Tottenham could recall Moore from Rangers loan

According to Football Insider, the England Under-19 international is said to be 'unhappy' with his role in Martin's side.Â

Moore has utilised on both flanks during the early stages of his loan stint, with the report claiming that Martin has told him to 'tuck inside' rather than stay out wide.

There is a belief that the way in which Moore has been deployed has prevented him from showing his best form for the Scottish giants.Â

As a result, there is a possibility that Tottenham could exercise their option to recall Moore from his loan spell in the January transfer window.

If they go down that route, the North London club would look to send the youngster back out on loan for the second half of the season.Â

Could Martin's situation impact Moore's future?

Tottenham will surely keep an eye on Moore's situation at Ibrox until the transfer window reopens in January.Â

The teenager's playing situation could be changed if there is movement in the Rangers' dugout in the near future.Â

Martin is facing growing scrutiny following the club's poor start to the season, having overseen four wins, five draws and five defeats in 14 matches in charge.

The Gers are currently languishing in 11th place in the Scottish Premiership after mustering four points from their opening five league matches.Â

Martin will looking to alleviate some of the pressure by claiming his first league win in Sunday's away clash against Livingston.Â

Tottenham in new takeover twist as £4.5bn bid timeline revealed amid Brooklyn Earick 'masterplan'

Takeover twist: Spurs braced for official offer amid £4.5bn - Sports Mole
Description

Tottenham Hotspur will supposedly receive a 'formal' takeover bid next week following an early expression of interest from American former DJ Brooklyn Earick.

The future of the Lilywhites was plunged into uncertainty earlier this month following the shock ousting of chairman Daniel Levy from his position after nearly 25 years at the helm.

While Levy is no longer involved in the day-to-day running of the club - a responsibility that has now fallen onto the shoulders of CEO Vinai Venkatesham - Joe Lewis's ENIC Group still hold a majority stake in the Europa League winners.

Amid rumours of a possible takeover, the powers-that-be have been unwavering in their stance that the club is not for sale, most recently on Friday following claims that Earick had let it be known that he was interested in buying the club.

Spurs are obligated to respond to any reports of takeover interest, and they did so with a firm statement on Friday, confirming that they had rejected an informal offer from 41-year-old Earick.

Earick readying 'formal' Tottenham takeover bid after Spurs statement

"The Board of Tottenham Hotspur Limited is aware of recent media speculation and confirms that its majority shareholder, ENIC Sports and Developments Holdings Ltd, has received, and unequivocally rejected, an informal expression of interest in relation to a proposal to acquire the entire issued, and to be issued, share capital of the Club from a consortium led by Mr Brooklyn Earick," a statement read.

"The Board of the Club and ENIC reconfirm that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and ENIC is not looking to sell its stake in the Club."

However, The Sun claims that Earick will still come forward with an official proposal to buy the North London club next week, and he will try to twist ENIC's arm with a staggering £4.5bn bid for control of the club.

In spite of their seemingly clear statement, Spurs have allegedly 'left the door open' for Earick to make his world-record bid, which is part of the 41-year-old's 'masterplan' to usher in a new era at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Earick has until 5pm on October 24 to either submit his offer or confirm that he has no interest in a formal bid, but the American and his consortium are said to be 'totally committed' to completing a takeover at the earliest opportunity.

Earick's £4.5bn offer is said to be made up of an initial £3.3bn to purchase control of the club from the Lewis family, while the remaining £1.2bn is reserved for squad improvements, including money for signings, wages and agent fees.

What has Earick said about possible Tottenham takeover?

While Earick and his entourage supposedly ramp up their plans to submit a formal proposal, the 41-year-old has been sending tongues wagging on social media amid the takeover talk.

Earick firstly posted an Instagram story of a newspaper running the story of his purported takeover, accompanied by the caption 'pretty low key morning so far'.

The American then shared an image of the Tottenham home dressing room with a countdown clock set to 11pm on October 23, the day before he must officially confirm his takeover intentions.

Tottenham return to Premier League action against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening, where a win would see them leapfrog Arsenal into second place in the table.

Tottenham lineup vs. Wolves: Predicted XI for Premier League clash amid Dominic Solanke hope

Solanke? Muani? Richarlison? Predicted Spurs XI vs. Wolves - Sports Mole
Description

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank may be blessed with no fewer than four fitness boosts for Saturday's Premier League battle with Wolverhampton Wanderers in North London.

The Lilywhites boss has confirmed that Dominic Solanke (ankle) and Kota Takai (foot) have been involved in team training of late, and both men should be in contention to make the squad against the division's basement side.

Meanwhile, there is also hope that Randal Kolo Muani (thigh) and Ben Davies (knee) will return from the minor issues that have kept them out of Spurs' last two games against Doncaster Rovers and Brighton & Hove Albion in the EFL Cup and Premier League respectively.

Starts for the quartet are likely out of the question, though, as Kolo Muani and Solanke should lose out to Richarlison - a long-time nemesis of Wolves - up front.

The Brazil international has scored a praiseworthy six goals from 12 Premier League games against Saturday's visitors, his joint-most against a single team in the competition alongside Leicester City.

Richarlison should be aided by Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons in the final third of the field; the latter starting on the left might allow both Pape Sarr and Lucas Bergvall to join Joao Palhinha in midfield.

The Portugal international was actually fielded at centre-back against Doncaster - where he opened the scoring with a brilliant overhead kick - but Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven should now return to a familiar backline.

Preview: Spurs vs Wolves - prediction, team news, lineups - Sports Mole
Description

Third-best meets dead worst in gameweek six of the 2025-26 Premier League season, as Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers collide at the former's North London headquarters on Saturday night.

Both sides have been buoyed by midweek EFL Cup wins, as the Lilywhites cruised past Doncaster Rovers while Vitor Pereira's men restored a slice of pride by eliminating Everton.

Match preview

Deprived of domestic success since the 2007-08 EFL Cup final, Tottenham's quest to conquer the competition for the first time in nearly two decades got off to the perfect start in midweek, as Spurs barely needed to get out of second tier to send Doncaster packing.

Joao Palhinha and Brennan Johnson both made the net bulge either side of an own goal in a 3-0 triumph for Tottenham, whose new boss Thomas Frank has settled into his new surroundings comfortably and has now overseen three wins and a draw from his last four matches in all tournaments.

That stalemate may have even felt like a victory for a handful of Tottenham fans, who witnessed their side fight back from 2-0 down to hold Brighton & Hove Albion to a 2-2 draw last weekend, a result which leaves them behind Arsenal only on goal difference in the Premier League standings.

To put Spurs' current points haul into even greater context, Frank's record of 10 from his first five Premier League matches as Tottenham manager is double what Ange Postecoglou achieved in his final 12 top-flight games in charge of Spurs, who are also acclimatising to life without the long-serving Daniel Levy at the helm.

Many managers came and went during the Levy years, but there has been one constant in recent times; Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 15 Premier League home games against teams starting the day at the bottom of the table, winning 12 of them.

If there is any crumb of optimism for the Wolves faithful to cling onto, a particularly superstitious supporter might note that each of Tottenham's last five losses to teams at the bottom of the Premier League table have been against clubs beginning with W - three to West Bromwich Albion and one each vs. West Ham United and Wigan Athletic.

Beyond funky coincidences, the travelling contingent can also take heart from an increasingly rare win against a top-flight team, as Marshall Munetsi and Tolu Arokodare fired Wolves to a 2-0 win over Everton and a spot in the fourth round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.

While Pereira's men have taken down the Toffees and West Ham United in knockout action, there is nothing for the Old Gold to shout about in the Premier League, where they are rooted to the foot of the division on account of being the only side to lose each of their opening five games.

Only Portsmouth in 2009-10, Crystal Palace in 2017-18 and Norwich City in 2021-22 have ever lost their first six Premier League games of a season, and as well as potentially joining that unwanted party, Wolves could set an unwanted competition record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

If Wolves are losing when the half-time whistle blows, it will mark the 10th straight Premier League game where they have been behind at the interval - an unprecedented feat - although they often find their bite when faced with the Lilywhites.

Indeed, the visitors have impressively won four of their last five games against Tottenham and have not been beaten by the Europa League winners since a 1-0 loss in August 2022, when Harry Kane scored his 250th Spurs goal.

Team News

A quadruple fitness boost is not beyond the realm of possibility for Tottenham, who could firstly welcome the man pictured back to action following an ankle injury, as Dominic Solanke has been taking part in team training of late and is on course to make the squad.

Kota Takai (foot) is in the same boat, while Randal Kolo Muani (thigh) and Ben Davies (knee) are pushing to return from their minor issues too, but Radu Dragusin, James Maddison (both ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Yves Bissouma (unspecified) remain out.

Even if Solanke and Kolo Muani are cleared to feature, Richarlison is bound to lead the line against one of his favourite opponents; the Brazilian has scored six Premier League goals against Wolves, his joint-most vs. a single team in the competition alongside Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Wolves' win over Everton in the EFL Cup did not come without sacrifice, as midfield fulcrum Andre was forced off with a calf problem in the 87th minute and is an early doubt for the clash with Tottenham.

However, Andre is only one of two concerns for Pereira to manage alongside long-term knee victim Leon Chiwome; if the former misses out, recent scorer Munetsi will surely be given the nod from the first whistle.

Arokodare's delightful chip in the Everton victory has also given Pereira food for thought up front, and the 24-year-old may very well get the nod over Jorgen Strand Larsen for the second Premier League game running.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Kudus, Richarlison, SimonsÂ

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:

Sa; Mosquera, Toti, Agbadou; Doherty, J. Gomes, Munetsi, R. Gomes; Lopez, Hwang; Arokodare

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Â

Wolves' magnificent record over Spurs in recent times is something to behold, but something that will surely bear no weight this weekend given the visitors' pitiful Premier League performances thus far in 2025-26.

Furthermore, only Liverpool have out-performed their Expected Goals (xG) total by a bigger margin than Spurs' 3.9 this season, and the Lilywhites should net multiple strikes once again in a resounding home success.
