Tottenham Hotspur consultant Fabio Paratici was in the crowd at Stamford Bridge today for the Premier League game between Crystal Palace and Chelsea, according to the Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are looking to wrap up a deal for Palace attacker Eberechi Eze and it is believed their former director of football was at the match to hold further talks.

There was considerable progress over Friday and Saturday between Spurs and the Eagles, and it looked like a deal could be struck for £55 million plus add-ons.

Delaney had reported on Friday that Tottenham were at least £7m off what Palace would want for the 27-year-old.

The idea of Eze not playing today was also discussed, but negotiations had run into some “difficulties” by Saturday evening.

Palace are now demanding more of the fee up front to boost their chances of immediately signing a replacement for the Tottenham target.

They have Leicester City attacker Bilal El Khannouss and his Club Brugge counterpart Christos Tzolis on their wishlist.

Both London clubs are expected to continue talks, but Eze could still feature for the Eagles when they take on Fredrikstad in the first-leg of the Europa Conference League play-off on Thursday.

Spurs kicked off their campaign with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Burnley at home on Saturday and they could do with Eze before their next game.

They travel to Etihad Stadium next Saturday to take on Manchester City, and having the Palace star available will be a huge boost for Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank.

Securing all three points at the expense of Pep Guardiola and his men will be a massive boost for the North London club, and having a player like Eze for the trip will come in handy.

They will need to meet the demands of Palace as soon as possible to have a chance of getting their man in for their first away game of 2025-26, and fans will be hoping for good news in the coming days.

West Ham United and Everton are both monitoring the situation of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma due to the uncertainty over his future, according to Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The Spurs star could leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club this summer, and Hammers manager Graham Potter and his Toffees counterpart David Moyes would love to recruit his services.

West Ham need an enforcer in the middle of the park, and Everton also want to bring one to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank dropped Bissouma from the squad for the UEFA Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday because the Malian international was late once too often.

Former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou also once axed him from a matchday squad last year after he was filmed inhaling nitrous oxide from a balloon.

His disciplinary issues could see the North London club part ways with him, but he prefers to remain in England were he to leave this summer.

West Ham and Everton will be open to having him, but other options could emerge for the former Brighton & Hove Albion star.

Tottenham reportedly would accept anything close to £20 million for the 28-year-old as his contract has less than a year left on it.

AS Roma and Fenerbahce are also keen on Bissouma, with the manager of the Turkish club, Jose Mourinho, a huge admirer of his qualities.

He has been reinstated and will be in the Spurs matchday squad for their Premier League opener against Burnley at home tomorrow, but Joao Palhinha has been signed as his direct replacement.

Frank brought in the Portuguese from Bayern Munich as he wanted a new number 6 and was unconvinced that either Rodrigo Bentancur or Bissouma is perfect for the role.

The chance to cash in on him would appeal to Tottenham instead of losing him for nothing next summer, and an exit could be on the cards.

Tottenham Hotspur are still at least £7 million off what Crystal Palace would want for Eberechi Eze, according to the Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.

He claimed in the Friday edition of his ‘Inside Football’ bi-weekly newsletter that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are clear favourites to sign the England international.

Spurs ‘just have to go and strike a deal’ for Eze after Arsenal decided not to firm up their interest with any bid.

However, Tottenham now need to meet the demands of Palace if they want to quickly get a deal over the line for the 27-year-old attacker.

“Tottenham Hotspur, right now, are the outstanding favourites for his signature,” Delaney wrote.

“They have an almost clear run. Almost. Arsenal currently aren’t acting on their long-standing interest. As previously stated here, they prefer to sell first and are considering a left-winger instead.

“Spurs consequently just have to go and strike a deal, and the latest information is that they are still at least £7m off what Palace would want.”

Tottenham are in dire need of a quality addition in the final third after Heung-min Son left and James Maddison was ruled out for most of the season due to an injury.

Dejan Kulusevski is also yet to return to action as he nears full recovery, while Morgan Gibbs-White has opted to remain at Nottingham Forest.

Eze has what it takes to take Spurs to the next level. He will be desperate to prove himself in the Champions League, having established himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League.

Tottenham have also been linked with Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers.

He plays in a similar position to Eze and could be an alternative if a move for the Palace star falls through.

Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has phoned Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank to apologise for the transfer not going through, according to The Athletic.

The attacker was set to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club after Spurs tabled bids for him that met and then exceeded a £60 million release clause in his former contract.

Gibbs-White was set for a medical at the North London club, only for the deal to fall through, with him ending up signing a new contract with the City Ground club.

He put a phone call across to Frank afterwards, saying sorry for how the situation played out, but the Spurs boss told him an apology was not required.

Gibbs-White was set on the move to Tottenham, but a 30-minute meeting with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis in Portugal helped change his mind.

Spurs were ready to make him their most expensive signing of all time and the deal would have eclipsed the £65m they paid Bournemouth for Dominic Solanke last summer.

Both parties have now moved on and Frank is looking to add an attacker to his ranks after Son Heung-Min left and James Maddison picked up a long-term injury.

Tottenham are plotting a move for Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers, but it remains to be seen whether they will make an official bid as the Midlands club are insisting he is not for sale.

Spurs cannot afford to go without signing an attacker this summer given the current situation of their squad, and more names could emerge in the coming weeks.

Their capitulation in the UEFA Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain is a timely reminder for Frank that his team is not just good enough, and more additions are needed.

They need quality squad depth to challenge effectively across the Champions League and other domestic competitions, and time is not on their side with around 15 days left in the transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in recruiting the services of Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club want to reinforce in the final third after the departure of Son Heung-Min, and they are looking to lure the England international away from the Villa Park club.

Rogers is a wanted man in the Premier League after impressing for the Villans last term.

A move to join Spurs could be appealing as they are playing in the Champions League this season.

The Midlands club were fined £9.5 million last month for breaching UEFA’s financial rules.

While they could be forced to sell key players this summer as they need to remain compliant with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, they do not want to sell the 23-year-old.

It is unknown whether Spurs will firm up their interest in Rogers with a bid as manager Thomas Franks is desperate for attackers.

He has lost James Maddison to a long-term injury and also missed out on Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White.

Villa have always insisted the England international is not for sale and want to offer him a new contract that reflects his status as a key player at the club.

Morgan bagged 14 goals and 16 assists in 54 games across all competitions last season after ending 2023-24 with ten goals and ten assists in 49 games.

Rogers has five years left on his current contract after signing a six-year extension last November, but discussions over fresh terms and an extension are in preliminary stages.

Spurs may need to look elsewhere as Villa will not be keen on losing another key player as Jacob Ramsey closes in on a move to Newcastle United.

The Midlands club will look to win the Europa League this term given the track record of manager Unai Emery in the competition, and they need to retain key players to have a chance.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon wishes to return to Leeds United this summer after his loan spell at the Elland Road club last term, according to the Evening Standard.

The Israeli international is back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club after making 41 appearances for Leeds last term, where he weighed in with ten goals and 13 assists.

Solomon is not part of new Spurs manager Thomas Frank’s plans, and the North London club would be willing to sell the 26-year-old this summer if a suitable offer arrives.

However, Leeds appear to be looking elsewhere despite his willingness to return to the West Yorkshire club.

Whites manager Daniel Farke is eyeing a deal for AC Milan attacker Noah Okafor, and sealing a deal for the Switzerland international could hamper Solomon’s chances of re-joining Leeds.

However, his return cannot be completely ruled out as Spurs are open to allowing him to leave on loan again if a permanent exit does not work out.

The left winger has Premier League experience after making 19 appearances for Fulham while on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2022-23.

He bagged four goals at the time and will fancy his chances of impressing in the English top-flight this term.

Solomon already knows how Farke plays and it makes sense if a reunion happens this summer.

Leeds want to stay up and establish themselves as a mainstay in the division going forward after spending just three seasons before relegating the last time they got promoted.

They wanted Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz but he prefers to move to Atalanta and they are now closing in on a move for former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Whites have also bolstered their attack with the signing of former VfL Wolfsburg attacker Lukas Nmecha, and they need one or two more quality players in the position to boost their survival chances.

Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with Manchester City over a summer transfer deal to sign Brazilian attacking midfielder Savinho, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are looking to complete a €50 million deal. While the Etihad Stadium club are not actively looking to sell him, he is open to the move.

Their manager Pep Guardiola tends not to stand in the way of players who want to leave, which hands Spurs an advantage as Thomas Frank looks to bolster his attack following Heung-min Son’s exit.

Both clubs have yet to reach an agreement, but a deal could be on the cards with talks continuing.

Tottenham will be without Dejan Kulusevski for the opening weeks of 2025-26, while James Maddison could miss the whole campaign after undergoing surgery following an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Spurs have to strengthen their options in the final third, and Savinho fits the bill after his promising debut Premier League campaign.

He moved to Man City from Girona last summer, ending the 2024-25 campaign with three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.

The left-footed right winger notched 11 goals and ten assists in his last season in Spain and will fancy his chances of further impressing at Tottenham.

Spurs need quality attackers if they want to progress in the Champions League next season and secure a top-five finish in the Premier League. Savinho could help them achieve their aims.

They have added Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha to their squad this summer, but need to do more following key departures and injuries.

Tottenham begin the new season with the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain in Italy on Wednesday.

A victory for the Europa League reigning champions will be a significant boost for the upcoming campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur handed advantage as PSG star Joao Neves is suspended for UEFA Super Cup

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost ahead of their UEFA Super Cup game against Paris Saint-Germain in Italy on Wednesday as the French club will be without Joao Neves.

The Portuguese midfielder is suspended for the game against the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club following his red card in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea last month, according to French outlet RMC Sport.

It is good news for Spurs as PSG manager Luis Enrique has a selection headache to battle with given the influence of the Neves in the middle of the park for his team.

New Tottenham manager Thomas Frank will be eager to win his first competitive game in charge, and having his opponents unable to call upon one of their best players is a boost.

Spurs have played six games in pre-season this summer but have won just twice and will need to be at the top of their game individually and collectively if they want to win on Wednesday.

They lost 4-0 to Bayern Munich last Thursday following a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United last Sunday, and Frank will need his men to turn up against PSG.

Tottenham will be back in action after the Super Cup game on Saturday when they host newly-promoted Burnley in their first Premier League game of 2025-26.

A trip to Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City the next weekend comes afterwards.

The North London club were disappointing in the domestic competitions last term, finishing 17th in the league table after losing 22 games.

The woeful performance cost Ange Postecoglou his job despite helping them to the Europa League trophy, and Frank has to do better across all competitions this term.

Getting the better of PSG on Wednesday will be a perfect way for the North London club to start 2025-26, but they are not favourites to win the game given the quality of the Ligue 1 champions.

Description

Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha is already in London to complete his move to join Tottenham Hotspur, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Portuguese international has signed his deal and is eager to feature for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club when they take on his soon-to-be former club Bayern on Thursday.

Spurs have an option to sign Palhinha for an initial €25 million next summer, with around €5m to be included in add-ons.

Tottenham are parting with a loan fee of €5m for the 30-year-old and will also be covering his whole wages.

Spurs head coach Thomas Frank is confident that the former Fulham star is the perfect number 6 for his midfield, but he could be forced to sign another creative midfielder after James Maddison got stretchered off against Newcastle United today.

The England international was seen on crutches after the game and could be out for some weeks from the look of things.

Dejan Kulusevski has yet to return to full fitness and will not be starting the new campaign with the North London club, and recruiting another option in the position could be very necessary.

Spurs already missed out on Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White after he decided to sign a contract extension despite coming close to joining them, and the injury to Maddison could force them into unplanned action.

Tottenham have already added Kota Takai, Luka Vuskovic, Mohammed Kudus and Kevin Danso to their squad so far this summer, but more signings are expected as they are also losing captain Son Heung-min, who played his last game for the club today.

They need quality squad depth as they prepare to challenge in the Champions League and in the three other domestic competitions, and Frank could do with two or three more top signings before the transfer window shuts.

Rodrygo has no interest in joining Tottenham this summer

Rodrygo has no interest in joining Tottenham this summer - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes has no interest in joining Tottenham Hotspur (h/t Foot Mercato).

Spurs were reportedly in talks for the player, but he will only consider joining a bigger club.

Rodryg, who legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti hailed as a ‘special striker’, wants to stay at Madrid.

Even though head coach Xabi Alonso barely uses him, he has refused to give up on his dreams of staying.

If he leaves Madrid, he wants to join a club which regularly challenges for major silverware. Tottenham have several other options they could consider.

The left wing is one of the few positions where there is an abundance of talent waiting to be signed, including Alejandro Garnacho, Rafael Leao and Harvey Barnes.

Garnacho is the deal target for Tottemham

Garnacho delivered 11 goals and 10 assists last season despite not being fully trusted by his manager.

He is raw, but his explosive pace, direct running and willingness to take risks are tailor-made for Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s attacking system.

What Garnacho needs is a manager who will let him make mistakes and grow, something Frank has previously done with young talents.

Under the right guidance at Spurs, his decision-making and end product will improve drastically.

Spurs may not sign Rodrygo, but Garnacho is a hungry, high-ceiling alternative who is actually available this summer.
