Description

Tottenham Hotspur are open to selling attacker Richarlison this summer, and one of his suitors has stepped forward for his signature (h/t Terra).

Palmeiras are interested in the Brazilian and could make a concrete offer for him.

Dubbed an ‘amazing talent’ when he first arrived, his time at the club has been underwhelming. Niggling injury issues have made him unavailable in crucial times.

There has been interest from Turkey, the Saudi Pro League and Brazil. However, it remains unclear where the Spurs attacker will play next season.

Dominic Solanke will continue as the first-choice striker, but Richarlison’s potential departure would force Spurs back into the market.

There have been talks about signing Brentford ace Yoane Wissa, but the £50 million valuation is a sticking point.

Paying that sum for a nearly 29-year-old back-up striker makes no sense.

If Tottenham cannot get Brentford to lower their asking price, the club should consider shifting focus to Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha.

The 22-year-old Dutchman is tailor-made for the direct, transition-heavy football Thomas Frank favours.

A former Sturm Graz standout, Emegha netted 14 goals last season to fire Strasbourg into the Europa Conference League.

He is a powerful forward with pace and upside, and the lure of Champions League football could make Spurs an attractive step up.

Strasbourg may be willing to negotiate a deal for under £40m. Chelsea are interested, but they are stacked in attack.

Spurs need a younger, more affordable understudy. Emegha fits the bill.

Tottenham working on securing a lucrative naming rights deal for the stadium - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have come alive in the transfer market in recent weeks.

According to The Telegraph, their spending spree has sparked talks of a fresh wave of investment that could go into securing a lucrative naming rights deal for their stadium.

Tottenham have already committed £115 million to signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United and Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.

Kudus has already been announced, while a deal for Gibbs-White has been held up by Forest, who are exploring legal actions against Spurs for their illegal approach to signing him.

Forest’s move will delay the Gibbs-White transfer, but it’s not expected to collapse entirely.

But Tottenham are far from done. They’re still planning on signing a midfielder and possibly another forward, amid reports that chairman Daniel Levy has set aside a £300m war chest for the summer.

Tottenham are going all out to back new manager Thomas Frank.

That splurge has led many people to believe that the club is also in the process of securing a naming rights deal for their £1 billion stadium, six years after it was commissioned.

Levy has been looking to secure a naming rights package for the stadium worth around £25m annually for 15 years, which would have seen the club pocketing a record-breaking £375m.

He hasn’t been able to find anyone willing to match his demands and has denied talks with Nvidia, the world’s most valuable company. But that could change soon.

Tottenham have made a few tweaks to their boardroom structure, which suggests they are preparing for a major investment.

They recently appointed Vinai Venkatesham as their new chief executive officer, while long-serving executive Donna Cullen is expected to leave the club.

Miguel Delaney: There are more signings to come as Tottenham Hotspur prepare for £300m of investment - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for £300 million of investment during the summer transfer window, according to the Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club paid £55 million to secure the services of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United yesterday.

Spurs have also triggered the £60m release clause in the contract of Nottingham Forest star Gibbs-White and had planned for him to have his medical today before completing the deal.

However, the deal is being held up after Forest accused Tottenham of illegally approaching the England international. This will not stop Tottenham from bolstering their squad this summer.

“There are more signings to come in the words of one-placed figure,” Delaney wrote.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy seems to be backing new manager Thomas Frank as he prepares to guide the team into a new era/

The new Tottenham boss will be desperate to hit the ground running when the season starts, and a squad capable of challenging strongly across all competitions is being assembled for him.

Having conceded 65 goals in the Premier League last season, Tottenham will also need to strengthen their defence.

Only the relegated clubs and 16th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers shipped more than them last season.

Nottingham Forest are now consulting their lawyers as they believe Tottenham Hotspur holding talks with Morgan Gibbs-White over a summer move was an illegal approach, according to Sky Sports News’ Rob Dorsett.

The England international had been expected to hold a medical to join the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club today after his release clause was reportedly triggered.

However, Forest insist they never gave Spurs permission to hold talks with Gibbs-White, and the move is now delayed as they consider taking legal action.

Forest have all but lost Sweden international attacker Anthony Elanga, with the former Manchester United star set to join Newcastle United, and they are not ready to lose Gibbs-White.

The Englishman has a £60 million release clause which Tottenham are more than ready to trigger as they have already booked his medical for today, but they could end up paying much more or getting sanctioned if an amicable solution cannot be found with the City Ground club.

Forest will be playing in Europe next season after finishing seventh in the Premier League last term, and owner Evangelos Marinakis and manager Nuno Espirito Santo are unwilling to lose key players when they should be bolstering their squad for 2025-26.

Spurs finished 17th last season but are playing in the Champions League next term after winning the Europa League, and featuring in the elite European competition would have been very appealing to Gibbs-White.

He could find himself in the middle of a legal battle between two clubs and will be hoping both teams settle out of court.

More details are expected to emerge in the coming hours from all the three parties involved as they all look to maintain their innocence, and a transfer saga could be on the cards as Marinakis will be eager to have the last laugh on this matter.

James Maddison shares Micky van de Ven and Mohammed Kudus reunion as Ghana international completes Tottenham Hotspur move - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Ghana international attacker Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United yesterday, and he is set for an awkward reunion with Spurs star Micky van de Ven.

The former Hammers star and the Tottenham defender were involved in an altercation last season, which resulted in Kudus getting banned for five games.

The new Spurs signing was sent off for violent conduct for altercations with Van de Ven and Pape Sarr during the game last October, and he was given an additional two-game ban after the game.

Kudus is now teammates with the Dutchman and James Maddison has teased the defender on Instagram, taking to the social media platform to react thus.

Tottenham parted with £55 million for Kudus and manager Thomas Frank will hope he manages to hit the ground running and replicate his form from his debut Premier League season at the North London club.

The 24-year-old notched eight goals and nine assists in 33 league games for West Ham in 2023-24 after ending his last season in the Eredivisie with Ajax with 18 goals and seven assists in all competitions.

Kudus suffered a dip in form last term, bagging just five goals and four assists in 35 games across all competitions, and he will be desperate to prove himself all over again upon moving to Spurs.

Frank is looking to get Tottenham firing on all cylinders again and challenging for the top-four after finishing 17th in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou last term.

Winning the Europa League – the club’s first trophy since 2008 – was not enough to save the Australian, and the Dane knows he needs to start getting results immediately if he wants to last long as Spurs boss.

The North Londoners will be playing in the league phase of the Champions League next season as Europa League winners, and they need quality squad depth if they want to impress in Europe again and maintain a decent form domestically.

Brentford contacted former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou about replacing Thomas Frank - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Brentford reached out to former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou about replacing Thomas Frank, with the Bees director of football Phil Giles holding informal discussions with the erstwhile Spurs boss, according to The Athletic.

However, the Australian was not interviewed for the job at the West London club, with both parties agreeing that progressing to that stage was not the best option.

Tottenham parted with Postecoglou despite winning the Europa League last term, and they appointed Frank to replace him.

Brentford have since appointed a successor to the new Spurs boss, promoting former set-piece coach Keith Andrews and making him their new head coach.

Postecoglou joined the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club from Celtic in June 2023 having won it all domestically in the Scottish top-flight, and he led the North London club to a fifth-place finish at the end of his debut Premier League season, narrowly missing out on fourth place.

Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League table at the end of his second season in charge, but he won them their first trophy since 2008, and it was thought that would be enough to convince the club to hold on to him.

However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy sacked him two weeks after the Europa League final victory against Manchester United, and Frank has since taken over.

The Dane managed Brentford from October 2018 until last month having joined them as an assistant head coach in 2016, and he brings plenty of experience to the Spurs dugout.

Frank helped the Bees secure Premier League promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2020-21 season after three attempts, and he comfortably kept them up in the four seasons he spent with them in the top-flight.

He will now look to make Tottenham regular challengers for the top-four and the major trophies going forward, and he will be eager to prove himself at such a big club.

Juventus eye deal for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma

Juventus eye deal for €20 million-rated Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is a target for Juventus as the Bianconeri look to strengthen their ranks this summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bissouma is atop Juventus general manager Damien Comolli’s list, and Spurs are open to selling.

Interestingly, Comolli used to work at Tottenham, and the report mentions that he could use his connection with the North London club to land the Malian, whose contract expires next year.

Per the report, his valuation fluctuates between €15-20 million.

Bissouma joined Tottenham from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 and started well under Antonio Conte.

Unfortunately, he hit a snag and has never rediscovered his best form since then.

The 28-year-old, who earns £55,000 per week, had a particularly dreadful 2024/25 campaign, receiving damning criticisms for error-strewn performances.

National media blasted an awful cameo against Aston Villa in May and another notably poor showing in the North London Derby in January.

Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was unhappy with his bad outing against Fulham.

Tottenham are unsurprisingly open to a sale, and the funds from that sale will likely be added to whatever is in their coffers to sign a new defensive midfielder.

Spurs need a new midfielder at the base of the engine room to anchor proceedings and screen the defence.

Surprisingly, Tottenham have been dragging their feet regarding signing a new defensive midfielder, considering how crucial plugging that gap is.

The club was quite porous and lacked any steel through the midfield. It should be a priority.

Spurs need an athletic, mobile, and solid presence in that engine room and should be considering a swoop for Sevilla star Lucien Agoume.

The former Inter Milan star has been tipped for big things since he first emerged from the Sochaux academy in 2019. He is the profile the Tottenham engine room is crying out for.

Agoume is a steely midfielder who will allow others like Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, and James Maddison to shine.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank will assess Richarlison during pre-season preparations before a decision is made on the future of the Brazilian international, according to Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old Spurs star has been linked with an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club this summer, with Galatasaray keen on recruiting his services, preferably on loan.

However, Sky Sports are claiming that Richarlison wants to remain with the North Londoners and prove himself, but he may have to do so in the coming weeks as Frank runs the rule over his players before deciding who leaves and who stays for the new season.

The former Everton forward joined Spurs for an initial £50m in July 2022, weighing in with 20 goals and ten assists in 90 games across all competitions so far.

It is an underwhelming return given his fee and the huge expectations the club had when they signed him, with his injury struggles keeping him from playing regularly and being in peak form.

Richarlison has missed 58 games for Tottenham over the last three campaigns, with issues ranging from calf injury, groin injury, hamstring and knee problems regularly troubling him.

Spurs want to add attackers to their squad this summer and have already identified West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus as a transfer target after opting against signing his Crystal Palace counterpart Eberechi Eze, and signing the Ghana international could see them sell Richarlison.

They believe the Hammers star could be signed for £60m despite his £85m release clause, and talks are believed to be ongoing between both sides.

Richarlison has two more years on his contract, and this summer will be the best time to sell him, but he has a chance to convince Frank of his fitness and quality in the coming weeks, and he has to take it.

Tottenham Hotspur takeover unlikely anytime following behind-the-scenes story of how Daniel Levy frustrated Qataris

Tottenham Hotspur takeover unlikely anytime following behind-the-scenes story of how Daniel Levy frustrated Qataris - sportsview.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a takeover bid earlier this year as a group of Qatari investors sought to buy the club, and they were reportedly willing to give Spurs chairman Daniel Levy a long-term contract to continue running the club as executive chairman.

However, their plans fell through and an ITK, Habibullah Khan, has now shared on the latest episode of The Lab (Tottenham Hotspur Podcast) the behind-the-scenes story of how Levy frustrated the Qataris.

Habib has genuine links to people close to the attempted Spurs takeover process, and he has shared what he has heard about how the discussions progressed and eventually fell through.

It is unknown whether the Qataris – who are private individuals rather than the government-backed Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) or Sheikh Jassim – met the £3.75bn valuation of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club, but they were reportedly keen on acquiring full ownership.

They also wanted to invest in the local area as part of a long-term UK strategy, but Levy kept moving the goalposts despite talks with Joe Lewis moving forward.

Habib further threw light on the situation on his X handle.

British business executive Amanda Staveley wanted to buy a stake in Tottenham last year, targeting the acquisition of a 25 per cent stake having been backed by serious money from the Middle East and wealthy individuals.

However, nothing materialised and it appears Spurs will not be getting new owners anytime soon because of Levy.

ENIC Group – which belongs to the family trust of Lewis – owns 86.58% of the North London club, while Levy and his family own 29.88% of the share capital of ENIC.

Levy is not keen on letting go of Tottenham anytime soon, and it appears not even the protests from the fans will get to him.

Spurs finally won their first silverware since 2008 last term under former manager Ange Postecoglou, but chances are they could have won plenty of silverware since then if they had another chairman.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are prioritising a move for West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus.

They believe the London Stadium club will sell him for around £60 million, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The West Ham star has a release clause of £85m, which applies to Premier League clubs.

However, Spurs are convinced they can bring the 24-year-old to the club for much less.

Spurs were keen on Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze, but their interest did not reach an advanced stage. They are looking to sign Kudus instead.

West Ham want to generate funds for the summer transfer window, and they are ready to cash in on the Ghana international.

The Hammers have also offered him to Chelsea and Manchester United, but they are currently concentrating on other targets, which could give Tottenham an advantage.

Kudus is open to joining the club, and agreeing personal terms will not be a problem.

Spurs are willing to sell Brazil international Richarlison, and the West Ham forward appears to have been identified as his direct replacement.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank would fancy his chances of getting the best out of Kudus again following a dip in form last season.

The former Brentford boss turned Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo into solid attackers and could succeed with the West Ham forward if a move works out.
