Wayne Burnett’s side will begin the new campaign with a trip to Newcastle United on Monday 24 August before hosting Birmingham City in the first home game seven days later, in what will be an afternoon kick-off on the August Bank Holiday Monday.
The Premier League 2 will once again see each participating team play 20 regular-season matches either at home or away, with the top 16 sides in the overall table advancing to the play-off stage in the closing weeks of the campaign to determine the overall winners.
Brentford will be new opponents for our Under-21s this season after they achieved Category One Academy status earlier this year while we’ll also face Ipswich Town in the Premier League 2 for the first time – they entered the division last year but were not one of our designated opposing sides.
The majority of our Under-21s’ home matches will continue to be played at Stevenage FC in 2026/27 – tickets for these matches are available online in advance of each game via Stevenage’s ticketing website, or at the ground on the night.

Our Under-21s will also return to Premier League International Cup action this season – details of our fixtures will be confirmed soon. Our fixtures in the group stage of the EFL Trophy were announced last month.
