Tottenham Hotspur are right in the midst of a relegation battle on the pitch, which is leading to big decisions and talks going on off the pitch about players' futures.
The Lilywhites sit two points adrift of safety in the Premier League relegation zone with just four games remaining, but picked up their first win under Roberto De Zerbi against Wolves last weekend to keep their chances of survival alive.
But whether the team is relegated or stays in the Premier League, there are expected to be big changes in the playing squad under the new manager during the summer window, and talks are already beginning to take place so parties can get ahead of the process.
Agent Flying to London Next Week
One player who could be set to depart is central defender Radu Dragusin, who has recovered from a serious knee injury to compete for a place in the team in recent months.
The Romania international has played ten times this season, starting nine of those games, and he has attracted big interest from Serie A clubs including Juventus and Fiorentina ahead of the summer. But while speculation continues to mount around his future, his agent has now revealed that there are no talks ongoing, although he is due for a meeting next week.
“Radu [Dragusin] didn’t ask me for anything,” Manea told Digi Sport. “I said we won’t talk until the end of the championship; he’s focused on saving Tottenham.
“I also talked to him last night, we have time, no one is rushing us for now. If someone calls me, you’ll realise I’m talking, but I haven’t been contacted, I’m telling you the truth.
“His priority now is saving Tottenham. I haven’t talked to Fiorentina, Juventus or even Tottenham. I’ll arrive in England next week, I’ll meet with Radu and we’ll see.”
Dragusin Can Leave Spurs
While Spurs will be desperate to keep hold of a host of their players ahead of the new season, regardless of what division they are playing in, Dragusin is unlikely to be someone they fight for.
The defender came with a big reputation from Serie A under Ange Postecoglou but the knee injury and the pace of the Premier League have seen him struggle more often than not, and a move away is probably now something that suits all parties.
Should an acceptable offer come in, whether that be permanently or on loan, then all parties are likely to consider it, and it wouldn't be a surprise if his agent gets told exactly that during next week's meeting.
