Alan Shearer has slammed the current state of this Tottenham Hotspur team and is worried about their next five Premier League fixtures.

Spurs were held to a shock 2-2 draw with Burnley, which leaves them sitting 14th in the Premier League and just eight points above the bottom three.

Fill in the blank: Tottenham will take __ points from their next five matches…

Cristian Romero netted a 90th-minute equaliser at Turf Moor to salvage a point for Spurs, but fans booed the manager and team off the pitch.

Things are not about to get any easier for the Lilywhites either, given their tricky run of upcoming Premier League matches.

Tottenham face a tricky Premier League fixture run

Tottenham Hotspur are set to face Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Arsenal and Fulham in their next five Premier League matches.

Alan Shearer is worried about the team’s ‘really, really tough run’ and believes the team are in big trouble.

Speaking on BBC Match of the Day, Shearer said: “Miles off it, not good enough! Five games without a win in the Premier League, two wins in 14 and when you look at their coming fixtures.

“Frankfurt in the Champions League, where they are doing well, but then City, United, Newcastle and then Arsenal, that is a really, really tough run.

“You always feel like they’re one loss away from a disaster; that’s not a good position to be in, and the fans are making their feelings known.

True or false: Tottenham re-appointing Mauricio Pochettino would be a bad idea…

“I just think Tottenham are suffering from poor recruitment over the years, and truth be known, they are not a good team.”

For now, Thomas Frank looks set to remain in the job at the North London club, with a crucial Champions League fixture just around the corner.

During Saturday’s match, Tottenham fans sang Mauricio Pochettino’s name, making their feelings very clear about the manager.

Fabrizio Romano says Thomas Frank’s Tottenham job is at risk

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Frank’s job at Tottenham is back at risk following the team’s 2-2 draw with Burnley.

The Danish coach bought himself time by beating Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, but now, his job is back under threat.

Romano told his YouTube channel: “Another draw for Tottenham Hotspur, who are now 13th in the Premier League table with many teams to play in the next few days.

“But for sure a complicated situation again for Thomas Frank after the win against Borussia Dortmund to soften a bit the pressure during the week.

“Now back at risk, and let’s see what’s going to happen for the future of Thomas Frank. It is going to be a busy, busy week in the last week of the transfer window, and Tottenham will decide on their manager.”
