Tottenham Hotspur players feel that Igor Tudor has been overassertive since being named interim manager, according to Alasdair Gold.
The former Juventus boss has gone into Spurs and attempted to be very disciplined with the players, but that approach does not seem to have gone down well.
Tudor’s decision to ignore Antonin Kinsky after subbing him off against Atletico Madrid inside the first 20 minutes looks to be just the tip of the iceberg.

Speaking about the situation, Gold told Talking Tottenham: “I’m hearing bits and pieces from within the dressing room.
“He’s gone in, and this is probably what he does at all his clubs: Igor Tudor goes in, tries to be disciplined and tough, gets in there and shakes things up.
“The problem is, I think it’s just backfired in this kind of instance. I think he’s, from what I understand, some of the players feel he’s been slightly overassertive.

Antonio Conte tried a similar approach at Tottenham, and whilst it worked initially, long-term the Italian eventually lost the players.
“Maybe he’s come across as a little bit disrespectful to some of the players, some of the borderline mocking to other ones. Look, Antonio Conte, I think, came in and did very similar,” added Gold.
