Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a 'stunning' January move for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, according to reports.

The North London side are looking to add extra firepower to Thomas Frank’s squad at the turn of the year and have reportedly identified Marmoush as an alternative to Antoine Semenyo.

Marmoush has struggled for regular opportunities under Pep Guardiola this term, totalling just 206 minutes of Premier League football across 10 appearances.

The Egyptian forward, who is currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations, has only made four starts across all competitions, scoring once.

Tottenham Eyeing Omar Marmoush Swoop

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are looking at signing Marmoush as a versatile option to bolster their attack, with the 26-year-old able to play both out wide and centrally.

Spurs are believed to be admirers of the Egyptian’s technical ability and goal-scoring prowess, which he demonstrated at Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Marmoush registered an impressive 37 goals and 20 assists in just 67 appearances for the German side, where he spent 18 months before joining Manchester City in January 2024.

However, a move for Marmoush may prove difficult for Tottenham to pursue in January, with Guardiola reportedly expected to resist any departure.

The Catalan tactician values the 26-year-old’s role in squad rotation, and Spurs may need to present a convincing offer to lure him away from the Etihad Stadium mid-season.

Marmoush, praised as 'world-class', is under contract with Manchester City until the end of the 2028/29 season.

Semenyo Snubs Tottenham Move

Tottenham are believed to be viewing Marmoush as an alternative to both his Man City teammate Savinho and their long-standing target Semenyo.

The Ghanaian forward is expected to leave Bournemouth in January but is unlikely to choose North London as his next destination.

According to reports, despite Tottenham’s willingness to offer a significant salary, Semenyo has snubbed the possibility of joining the club amid interest from other Premier League sides.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are front-runners to sign the 25-year-old in January, with Liverpool also paying close attention to his situation on the Dorset coast.

Paratici Close to Leaving for Fiorentina

Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici is close to leaving the club for a return to Italy, with Serie A side Fiorentina advancing on a deal to appoint the 53-year-old as head of football.

Paratici only made his return to North London in October, joining as joint sporting director alongside Johan Lange.
