The German broadcaster reports that the Gunners have made initial contact with the 43-year-old over a potential move to England.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are also understood to be interested in Krug, who has established himself as a key figure in Dortmund’s recruitment.
Krug has played an important role in several of the club’s biggest deals in recent years, including the signings of Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.
He was promoted to the role of chief scout at Dortmund in 2022.
