Last Word on Football bring you the latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of the Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur EPL clash on Sunday evening at 7:00pm. The Villains enter the clash following a 1–0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final. They will be looking for a strong finish to the season to secure Champions League qualification, with several clubs close behind. However, with the return leg against Forest set for Thursday, that fixture may take precedence in Unai Emery’s mind.
Spurs remain fully focussed on survival. Last week’s 1–0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers was the first in the league since December, and restored some belief. The north London side has shown improvement under Roberto De Zerbi, but remain in the relegation zone. With just four matches to play, De Zerbi will be under no illusions about the importance of picking up points at Villa Park.

No players are suspended for the visitors.
Spurs’ victory against Wolves came at a cost, as Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke were forced off. Simons’ injury was confirmed as a ruptured ACL, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Solanke suffered a hamstring injury. When asked whether the striker could face Villa at Friday’s press conference, De Zerbi replied: “Villa, no, for sure, then we will see.”
Guglielmo Vicario remains sidelined as he continues to recover from hernia surgery, and his manager confirmed: “He’s not available yet.”
James Maddison trained “very well” this week, but when asked if the midfielder could feature, De Zerbi answered: “I would like to play with him… but we have to consider the physical condition.” While his status for this match is unclear, the Italian added: “I think he can be important in the next three games.”
Having missed the last two matches with a shoulder injury, Pape Sarr will also be assessed.
One player set to return is Destiny Udogie. De Zerbi said: “I don’t know if it’s the beginning of the game or the second half, but he’s available, yes.”
Cristian Romero, Mohamed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies are all ruled out.
