Atletico Madrid are not wasting time in their pursuit of Cristian Romero, with negotiations said to be progressing quickly as the Spanish side looks to prise Romero away from Tottenham Hotspur.

With the summer window set to open earlier than usual on 1 June 2025, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be busy.

Reports have it that Spurs centre-back Cristian Romero is itching for a move away from Tottenham, with the centre-back being linked with Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish side themselves are not wasting any time, as it has been revealed that Atletico are already preparing an offer for Romero.

But there is an issue. According to various sources, there is a significant gap between Atletico Madrid and Tottenham’s valuation of Romero – a gap that is yet to be bridged.
