We caught up with three fans at Forest – Bob Keable, Danny Wiseman and Archie Usher.

First up, tells us about your journey to the City Ground...
Bob: “I started on my Lambretta scooter, from Chelmsford to Theydon Bois, then got the Central Line to St Pancras and up to Nottingham. I left at 7.20am this morning.”
Danny: “We left about 8am this morning from sunny Somerset, straight through, three hours, nice and easy.”
How long have you been a Spurs fan?
Archie: “Five years, probably, yeah, 2021.”
Danny: “I’m looking about 35 years.”
Bob: “1969 for me. Actually, my first away game when I was 15 was here at Forest – January, 1975, FA Cup (we drew 1-1, 4 January)."
Why Spurs? What is your Spurs story?
Bob: “It was when I was eight, nine, 10. Jimmy Greaves was my hero and my dad, who was a West Ham man, he took me to West Ham for my first match in 1967 at West Ham. That was rubbish! Then he took me to Tottenham vs Leeds in 1969 and Tottenham vs Man United in 1969 and going into that ground (White Hart Lane) with 50-60,000... I saw myself on a YouTube clip this week – Tottenham-Man United, 1969. I was right at the front. As they took a corner, me and my mate were there!”
Danny: “It was watching Gazza and Gary Lineker play for England, just the way they were just enjoying their football, smiling, and ever since, I’ve been a Tottenham fan.”
Archie: “Partially, because he's (Danny) a Tottenham fan, but also because of players like Son, Kane, and obviously Dele, I liked those three as well.”
What is your first away day memory?
Archie: “It was the Champions League in Paris – PSG away last season (26, November, 2025). The atmosphere there was amazing.”
Danny: “It was PSG for me, as well. It was an awesome game, brilliant to be there.”
Bob: “As I mentioned earlier, my first away game was here at Forest, FA Cup, January 1975. We had 10,000 fans here, all marched down from the station to the City Ground. That’s why I came on the train today – to re-enact it! We drew 1-1, and the replay on the Wednesday night was Brian Clough’s first game in charge of Forest – and they beat us 1-0!”
Favourite away stadium?
Bob: “Slavia Prague, when we back in Europe (September, 2006) – 8,000 of us out there.”
Danny: “It’s got to be Paris!”
Archie: “Yeah, it’s got to be the Parc de Princes.”
Favourite away kit?
Bob: “Our 1978/79, yellow, Admiral.”
Danny: “I’ve loads, but I’ll say the navy and yellow Holsten kit, early 1990s.”
Archie: “I think it was 2022/23, the third kit, light blue and dark blue, with the white AIA.”
Most memorable away game?
Bob: “I’ve two – my first against Forest and Inter in the Champions League at the San Siro, Bale’s hat-trick (October, 2010) – plus I’ll never forget the 8-2 loss at Derby (October, 1976) in the season we got relegated!”
Danny and Archie: “PSG again, that will be a tough one to beat!”
Finally, what is it about following Spurs away – what makes it so special?
Bob: “It's just the camaraderie. Everyone's part of a big old family. I know people who have been going the same time as me. I mean, the people from Chelmsford have been going ages - 10 or 15 of them. They're still going now. Everyone's so friendly to each other. And at the end of the day, all we want really is for Tottenham to win.”
Danny: “It’s awesome, we love being part of it. This is our first away game in the Premier League.”
Archie: “I love being with all the fans away, everyone singing, everyone together.”
