Barcelona confident about Marcus Rashford deal, Juventus target Tottenham Hotspur's Randal Kolo Muani - Euro Transfer News
In Monday's Euro Transfer News round-up, Barcelona are reportedly confident about signing Marcus Rashford permanently and Juventus are apparently keen on Randal Kolo Muani. That is not all, though. Chelsea are supposedly keeping a close eye on Nantes' 18-year-old prospect Tylel Tati, while reports suggest Crystal Palace have suffered a setback in their bid to sign Ruben Kluivert.
Barca confident about Rashford's future
Barcelona are reportedly confident about their chances of signing Marcus Rashford permanently at the end of the season due to a €30 million option to buy in the England international’s season-long loan deal.
Mundo Deportivo believes that Barca’s option to buy will take precedence over any desire from Manchester United to bring Rashford back to Old Trafford.
The forward has impressed since arriving at the Camp Nou, producing four goals and eight assists in 20 La Liga appearances.
"At Barca, there are no worries about Marcus Rashford's future should he ultimately decide to stay," read the article.
"In negotiations with Manchester United, the Catalan club secured absolute priority for the player.
"The €30 million buy option clause takes precedence over the English club's desire to bring him back.
"If Barca were to exercise this option by paying the full price, Manchester United would have no recourse.
"However, it's a different matter if they were willing to negotiate the amount."
Juve target Kolo Muani as Icardi deal looks unlikely
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti has revealed that the Serie A giants are unlikely to sign Mauro Icardi this month, but he still believes that they can get a deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Randal Kolo Muani over the line.
Sky Sports Italia is reporting that Icardi’s current club, Galatasaray, are reluctant to sell the 32-year-old so close to the end of the window.
Juve have been in the hunt for a striker all month, and have been linked with the likes of Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee.
"Negotiations between Juventus and Galatasaray are becoming complicated: the Turkish club is not open to selling the Argentine so close to the transfer window, despite his contract expiring in June," read a Sky Italia article.
"The player has spoken to Galatasaray management through his agents, but for now, the Istanbul club is holding back.
"Now, Juventus will decide whether to push further, although [Giorgio] Chiellini's comments suggest the move won't go ahead."
Spalletti added that Juve are far more likely to sign Kolo Muani before the window closes.
"Mauro is a very strong player, but that's it: the real possibility is Kolo Muani," he told Sky Sports Italia.
Chelsea keep eye on Nantes defender
Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on Nantes' 18-year-old prospect Tylel Tati.
L'Equipe says that the Premier League giants are willing to spend up to €30 million to secure the Frenchman’s signature.
Tati has impressed for Nantes this term, making 18 Ligue 1 appearances despite his young age.
Chelsea - who have lost the race to sign Jeremy Jacquet with Liverpool closing in - have not yet made a formal bid for the defender.
"FC Nantes' transfer window is shaping up to be a busy one," reads the article.
"While the signing of a central defender remains a priority, Tylel Tati is also attracting significant interest.
"Chelsea have stepped up their efforts in recent days to sign the 18-year-old talent.
"The London club has indicated its intention to submit an official offer of around €30 million. This proposal has not yet been formally confirmed in writing."
Eagles face battle to sign Kluivert
Crystal Palace want to bolster their defensive options by signing Lyon’s Ruben Kluivert, according to Foot Mercato.
The Eagles are light on options at the back following the sale of club captain Marc Guehi to Manchester City earlier this month.
The Dutch defender has made 10 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, producing one goal and two assists.
"Having arrived last summer from Casa Pia, Ruben Kluivert could already leave Olympique Lyonnais during this winter transfer window," reads the article.
"According to our latest information, Crystal Palace are interested in the Dutch defender."
However, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna has added that Lyon are keen to keep hold of the 24-year-old in a post on social media.
"Despite Crystal Palace's interest in Ruben Kluivert, OL has decided to close the door on any departure," he posted on X, formerly Twitter.
