This stemmed from Man City goalkeeper James Trafford’s pass out of the back intended for Nico González getting intercepted by Pape Matar Sarr; Trafford ended up parrying it to Palhinha in an attempt to divert the ball from Richarlison. Brennan Johnson got Tottenham’s other goal, eleven minutes prior.
This puts Spurs joint second in the Premier League so far after two matches, alongside Arsenal.
