Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur, according to Sami Mokbel of the BBC.

Domestically, it has been a dire season for Spurs. Having exited both domestic cups before the finals, Tottenham were entirely reliant on their Europa League campaign as, in the Premier League, the Lilywhites have lost 21 of their 37 matches played so far, a run of form that has seen Ange Postecoglou come under pressure across the campaign.

On the continent, Spurs have played like a different team when compared to their Premier League displays. It was their Europa League efforts, no doubt, that kept Postecoglou in a job. Against Manchester United, Brennan Johnson scored the only goal of the final to see Spurs win their first major trophy in 17 years.

Postecoglou, despite being under pressure, has done what so many managers have failed to do at Spurs and win a trophy. Regardless of what the North London side decide to do about their manager, they certainly have an eye on the upcoming transfer window and are monitoring a stellar talent.

Spurs Are Targeting Dibling

Youngster had a breakout season

As per the BBC, Tottenham remain keen on Tyler Dibling, who enjoyed his first season of senior football with Southampton in the Premier League. While the Saints, who were relegated with seven games to spare, endured a really tough season, Dibling was one of their few bright sparks. So much so, that "half of Europe" want Dibling according to Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg.

At just 19 years old, Dibling plays with a brilliant level of confidence for such a young player and his displays have drawn the attention of numerous Premier League clubs. Dibling, who would reportedly cost £100 million, looks bound to remain within the top flight and it seems Tottenham could be his destination.

As proven with the likes of Mathys Tel, Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, Spurs are happy to put some trust into youthful players, which perhaps would not be guaranteed to Dibling were he to go elsewhere. After their Europa League win, Spurs are also a Champions League side, something that could further sway Dibling into a move.

Should Spurs manage to sign the England youth international, it would be an exceptional deal for the Lilywhites.
