West Ham supporters are not only interested in their own team’s results in the Premier League run-in but also in their rivals.

The Hammers obviously have a vested interest in Tottenham losing games, as it would help them avoid relegation.

Meanwhile, they would also enjoy watching fellow London club Arsenal finish second in the title race again.

West Ham supporters have now decided whether they would rather Spurs go down or Arsenal bottle the league title.

Assuming West Ham stay up, would you rather see Arsenal bottle the league or Tottenham go down? 🤔

Tell us why in the comments… 👇

West Ham supporters want Tottenham to fail more than Arsenal

As West Ham are in competition with Tottenham in the relegation battle, we excluded the direct implications for the Hammers.

We specifically asked fans on our new platform, TalkingPoints, to assume that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will survive.

Therefore, the debate would only come down to West Ham supporters’ dislike for their two biggest Premier League rivals.

Our poll received over 600 votes, with 88 percent preferring Spurs to be relegated rather than Arsenal missing out on the title again.

“Has to be Spurs going down,” explained one TalkingPoints user. “Nothing would give me greater pleasure… and the bragging rights!!”

“Spurs going down would be the best ever,” another replied, suggesting Tottenham’s downfall would be a day to remember.

“That’s easy, Spurs go down! I think it would be nice for Arsenal to come 2nd again too though,” a West Ham fan wrote.

One supporter then mentioned another enjoyable possibility for the Hammers – Millwall failing to win promotion.

“Spurs to go and Millwall to bottle it, perfect scenario,” they said, with The Lions currently two points behind second-place Ipswich.

West Ham fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that Tottenham vs Millwall is a Championship fixture next season.
