Better Than Savinho: Tottenham Want to Sign £315,000-a-Week Forward

Tottenham Hotspur and their owners are already showing that they mean business ahead of the official opening of the summer transfer window, and it could get even better.

Tottenham have already completed and announced the signings of two seasoned Premier League players in Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers.

The former is a Premier League and Champions League winner, while the latter has just been called up to the Argentina national team for the 2026 World Cup, showing the pedigree of the duo.

After those bargain moves, Spurs are continuing to ramp up their business as they work on two more deals: Savinho from Manchester City and Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke.

Both players are valued at £60m or more by their clubs, and Tottenham chiefs will need to be at their negotiating best to secure either player for a smaller fee.

As well as imcomings, the north London have also received a surprise £30m bid from the Seagulls for Luka Vuskovic, who they will surely see as Van Hecke's replacement if they green-light a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for him.

The positive for Tottenham is that both Savinho and Van Hecke are said to want to join De Zerbi in the capital.

Tottenham Eyeing Move for Marcus Rashford

After a stunning season on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United, it seemed likely that the La Liga champions would take up their £26m buy option to bring Rashford to the Camp Nou on a permanent basis.

However, Barca have turned their back on a deal for the 28-year-old despite reports that they could try and renegotiate the option, or try and take him on loan again next season, paying his £315,000-a-week wages at the same time.

The situation has been complicated by the fact that they have already brought in another left-sided forward in Rashford's England teammate Anthony Gordon, which leaves the Red Devils man in limbo.

Rashford does have Premier League interest in him though, according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Tottenham, Arsenal and Aston Villa are monitoring the situation of the forward, who scored 14 goals and registered 14 assists in just 26 starts for the Catalan giants.

Rashford is Way Better Than Savinho

Savinho may be six years Rashford's junior, but you only have to look at how they both performed this season to see who is ready to make the biggest difference for Tottenham and De Zerbi right now.

We've already mentioned Rashford's impressive record under Hansi Flick at the Camp Nou, while it was a much quieter campaign for the Brazilian.

The 22-year-old ended the Premier League season with one goal and two assists in 24 top flight outings for City, as he struggled to make a consistent impact under Pep Guardiola.

It's understandable that Spurs might be looking at what Savinho can offer them in the future, rather than right now, but Rashford looks like a confident, rejuvenated player who can bring strong goal contribution numbers for De Zerbi now.

While his wage demands could be high, if he can be purchased for anything around the £25-30m mark, then it is surely a no-brainer deal to pursue for Spurs.
