The latest update on the future of Tottenham target Iliman Ndiaye comes as a big blow for the North London club.
It has been reported that Tottenham are prepared to back Thomas Frank with big funds in January, with several sources indicating that Spurs want to sign a marquee attacker to signal their ambition.
Some outlets have claimed over recent weeks that Tottenham are ready to turn their attentions to Ndiaye after being impressed by his performances at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this term.
In fact, it has been alleged that Spurs have already made contact over a deal for the Everton man, but it has now emerged that the Lilywhites face intense competition for the 25-year-old.
Man City and Liverpool are ready to battle Tottenham for Iliman Ndiaye
Foot Mercato have now said that Ndiaye’s impressive development this season has caught the eye of scouts from numerous Premier League clubs.
Tottenham are one of those, with the report backing up the claim that Thomas Frank’s men have made enquiries about the winger.
However, unfortunately, the report says that Liverpool and Man City have also launched enquiries for Ndiaye, with the Reds and Cityzens being big fans of the player.

The publication adds that the Senegal international is high on the transfer shortlist of all three of those clubs.
Why Spurs may struggle to agree a deal for Ndiaye
According to reports, Everton are determined to hang onto the Spurs target. Some sources have even said that it would take an offer of around £70m to get Everton to the negotiating table for Ndiaye.
Even if Tottenham were to put that money on the table, they might still find it challenging to convince the winger to come to N17 unless they shoot up the table over the next few weeks.
The opportunity to go to Anfield or the Etihad would be far more appealing for the Toffees star, especially given the predicament the Lilywhites find themselves in at the moment.
