Tottenham Hotspur beat Bodo / Glimt 2-0 to secure a place in the Europa League Final, which maintains their dreams of qualifying for next year's Champions League.

Spurs set out with two defensive midfielders on what was a wet evening on an artificial surface in the northern reaches of Norway. The visitors looked relatively comfortable in the first-half, as Bodo / Glimt didn't rush to get themselves back into the tie.

The second-half continued similarly, with the Norwegians knowing they just needed a get a goal to turn the tie. Yet it was Spurs who opened the scoring just after the hour mark. A Mathys Tel corner was met by a Cristian Romero header that Dominic Solanke stabbed home. At this stage, there looked to be no way back for Bodo / Glimt.

Within six minutes, Spurs doubled their lead. Pedro Porro went to whip in a ball for Solanke, but his delivery flew into the net off the far post. It was enough to set up an all-English Europa League final with Manchester United, and Spurs' first European final since the 2019 Champions League final.

Didn't get as much opportunity to overlap as much as he would have liked.

CB: Jostein Gundersen - 6/10

Acquitted himself the best he could, but in the end, that was not sufficient.

LB: Fredrik Bjorkan - 6/10

Like his full-back teammate Sjovold, he could not get forward enough to hurt Spurs.

Like so many of his teammates, this tie was a bridge too far for Evjen.

CM: Patrick Berg - 6/10

Always assured on the ball, but Spurs managed to get around him as the second-half wore on.

The wide player was unable to repeat his goal-scoring feat of last week in London.

Romero and Van de Ven gave him a very short change as he looked for space and opportunity.

Spurs Player Ratings

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Tested rarely in the first period.

RB: Pedro Porro - 8/10

With his reliable right foot, the full-back showed why he has been one of Spurs' best players this season.

CB: Cristian Romero - 7.5/10

Gave Bodo / Glimt striker Kasper Hogh very little encouragement with an aggressive display.

CB: Micky van de Ven - 7/10

Had further opportunities to demonstrate his ridiculous pace.

LB: Destiny Udogie - 6.5/10

Was guilty of giving away a few set pieces in attacking areas.

DM: Rodrigo Bentancur - 6.5/10

Did enough work to make it comfortable for Spurs in the end.

DM: Yves Bissouma - 6/10

Not really fully tested in his position as defensive shield in the first-half, but was needed to carry out several interventions in the second.

RW: Brennan Johnson - 6/10

Did set the world alight, but he didn't need to as Spurs controlled the game.

AM: Dejan Kulusevski - 6/10

Spurs fans will be glad to see the maverick get some more minutes under his belt.

LW: Richarlison - 5/10

Although he had some positive moments, he again didn't have as big an impact as he had hoped.

CF: Dominic Solanke - 7/10

Was sharp enough to stab in Romero's knockdown to get that all-important goal.

SUB: Mathys Tel - 7/10

Replaced the ineffective Richarlison on the hour mark and provided the corner that produced Solanke's goal.

SUB: Pape Sarr - 5/10

Given a late run out with the game all but over.
