Brennan Johnson has an incredible record against Brentford which could help save Thomas Frank’s job at Tottenham.

Spurs have been on a terrible run of form lately, and it took a magical overhead kick from Cristian Romero to save them a point at St. James’ Park in the week.

However, this has not relieved pressure on Frank at Tottenham, who are now five Premier League matches without a win.

Spurs’ home form has been continuously criticised within this run, with the North London club having just three league wins at their stadium in 2025 to date.

Therefore, their upcoming tie against Brentford could be make or break for Frank as he faces his former club.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Brennan Johnson has scored in his last two games against Brentford

Johnson has struggled at Tottenham this season, only starting six times in the Premier League.

His early-season form has now died off, and the Welsh international is now more commonly seen from the bench.

However, with Tottenham often struggling for an attacking outlet at home, the attacker could now be the answer to Frank’s prayers.

In his last two appearances against the Bees, Johnson has found the net. The most recent came in Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Brentford last season.

Therefore, with Frank in a position that could see his job become untenable with a defeat, he simply must play the attacker.

Johnson could end up saving Frank’s job if they win, especially if he finds the net once again in the match.

What are Johnson’s stats to date?

In the Premier League, Johnson does have poor stats this season, according to Fotmob on 4 December.

The Welshman has only completed 69.6 per cent of his passes, while also only creating 0.81 chances per match.

However, one thing he is good at is scoring, netting once every 0.32 games.

With Tottenham struggling to find forwards who will provide goals on a consistent basis, Frank must look to recall Johnson to provide this.
