Thomas Frank could soon reunite with Yoane Wissa at Tottenham.
It is fair to say that the Danish head coach got the best out of a wide array of players throughout his tenure in charge of the Bees.
One of those is the DR Congo international, and another is his partner in crime, Bryan Mbeumo, who has also been linked to Spurs.
With Manchester United seemingly set to land the Cameroonian, the Lilywhites could now turn their attention to the 28-year-old at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Wissa could now join Tottenham from Brentford
The Lilywhites have already kicked off the transfer window in positive fashion with the addition of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham.
MORE SPURS STORIES
To bring in the former Lorient attacker could add to the excitement surrounding the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium moving into the new campaign.
With Mbeumo looking to be on his way out, it is unclear how much the Bees could demand for another one of their stars in the coming weeks and months.
Former Brentford manager Martin Allen believes his old side could demand at least £50million, plus potential add-ons later down the line.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Allen said: “He scores goals, and he helps the team defend.
“He’s got a great attitude, so it’s no wonder Thomas Frank wants to take him from Brentford to Tottenham. What would the fee be?
“For me, it would have to be £50m. He scores goals and he wins games, those players who score goals and win games are gold dust.
“He does that for Brentford, so they will be looking for £50m, minimum.
“They have to put that sort of fee on him. If Spurs then get into the Champions League or anything else, the add-ons will increase that fee by quite a lot.“
Tottenham could outlay £50m on Wissa
It does seem as if Daniel Levy and Co. are focusing on talent from the transfer market who already have Premier League experience.
This has been seen with Kudus and could be replicated if Morgan Gibbs-White is to join Tottenham from Nottingham Forest this summer.
If that deal does fall through as the Reds throw their toys out of the pram once again, a move at £50m for Wissa may look all the more attractive towards the end of the window.
