The game against the Championship side will be played in the week commencing 24 August.
It will be the first time we have faced the Addicks since January, 2011, when we ran out 3-0 winners in the third round of the FA Cup.
An Andros Townsend strike plus a Jermain Defoe double saw us past the south London side that day.
Last season Charlton finished 19th in the Championship under Nathan Jones.
