Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with Manchester United over a possible summer move for Chelsea target Alejandro Garnacho.

The 21-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September, having been told to find a new club by Ruben Amorim, and Chelsea are the firm favourites to acquire his signature.
Enzo Maresca’s side have been locked in advanced negotiations with Man Utd for several weeks and they have already reached a full agreement with Garnacho on personal terms.
The Argentina winger is determined to join Chelsea this summer, and football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Garnacho is even willing to wait until 2026 if it means he’s able to sign for the west London giants.
However, Tottenham are reportedly eager to hijack Chelsea’s move for the 21-year-old after their failure to sign Crystal Palace superstar Eberechi Eze. The England international was expected to join Spurs as their replacement for the injured James Maddison, but he snubbed Thomas Frank’s side in order to join Arsenal, following a last-minute offer from the Emirates Stadium outfit.
Spurs are now exploring the possibility of signing Garnacho before Transfer Deadline Day, as per renowned X account IndyKaila.
He posted on social media: “Manchester United are hoping Tottenham will step into the race for Alejandro Garnacho following their failed pursuit of Eberechi Eze.
“Spurs have now made contact with Man Utd. Chelsea are still currently the favourites.”
Tottenham eye Savinho
In addition to Garnacho, Tottenham are also eager to sign Manchester City winger Savinho, and reports suggest they are now willing to pay in excess of €70 million for the Brazil star.
Spurs have already bolstered their attack with the additions of Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel so far this summer, but they are eager to sign further reinforcements as they look to challenge for major honours this term.
