Tottenham have reached an agreement to secure the return of Fabio Paratici after his lengthy ban from football.
The Lilywhites have had a somewhat rocky summer in the transfer window, with their six additions tempered by the failures to secure the likes of Eberechi Eze and Bryan Mbeumo.
Thomas Frank’s Spurs side have enjoyed an excellent start to the new Premier League campaign, but he will surely be keen to get a few more new faces through the door before Monday’s deadline.
Paratici’s return will see him return to his previous role in charge of recruitment in N17, which will provide a welcome boost to the entire club.

Paratici’s return to Spurs has been speculated for much of the summer, but it has now been confirmed that he will assume an official role with the Lilywhites once again in the coming weeks.

The transfer chief has reached an agreement to return to Tottenham and will start his duties in either September or October, according to journalist Ben Jacobs via X.
The Italian returned from a 30-month ban earlier this year for his role in Juventus’ false accounting scandal, and had been operating with Spurs in a consultancy role.
However, his permanent return has now been sealed, and Daniel Levy will surely be delighted to see a man whom he trusts and values highly back within the club.
The Tottenham chairman referred to Paratici as a “very tough negotiator” and a “great addition to our management team” back in 2021, according to Football London.
Levy also revealed that the 53-year-old is someone who is “very knowledgeable” and a person who he has a “lot of admiration for.”

Paratici’s return is a huge boost for Tottenham, and it would be no surprise to see their transfer business pick up again in the January window.
He oversaw the signings of Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski and Destiny Udogie during his first stint with the North Londoners, and Levy and Co. will certainly be hopeful that his return will strengthen their recruitment once again.
If Spurs are to recover the ground that they lost on the rest of the ‘big six’ last season, then their transfer business needs to be immaculate in the next few windows.
No club can ever get every single signing spot on, but having a capable negotiator like Paratici within their ranks once more can only be a positive for the Lilywhites.
