Thomas Frank has made a decision which could prove costly for Daniel Levy and Tottenham.

Levy has often been criticised for his transfer approach, but the 63-year-old has also made some successful investments over the years.

Building the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has proven to be a financial success, with the ground playing host to some of the world’s biggest events.

Levy is very meticulous about finances. Therefore, the Tottenham Chairman won’t be best pleased after a brand-new development.

Tottenham to lose millions over Richarlison transfer

Richarlison has been linked with a departure from Tottenham after a string of inconsistent performances over the last three years.

The Brazilian conceded his starting spot to Dominic Solanke last season and is likely hesitant to spend another year as a rotational option.

Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in the striker, but he is said to prefer a move to a European team.

As reported by The Sun on Monday (30 June), Richarlison is set to leave the Premier League now that Thomas Frank has given the green light.

The report reveals that the striker is expected to sign for Galatasaray, who have no doubt been seduced by the Spurs striker’s £20million fee.

This would be a huge loss for Levy, after Tottenham signed Richarlison for £50m plus £10m in add-ons from Everton in 2022.

Richarlison sale would be a shame for Tottenham

When Richarlison arrived at Tottenham, he became one of the Lilywhites’ most anticipated transfers in recent years.

Tottenham fans were excited to watch him play, while Levy believed he had secured one of the best strikers in the Premier League. However, countless injuries later and the 28-year-old has failed to live up to expectations.

Despite this, his big character and work rate on the pitch have earned him a spot in the hearts of Spurs supporters. Therefore, it would be a shame for them to see him leave without reaching his full potential.

But alas, with a new era beginning under Frank, perhaps it is time for Richarlison to bid farewell to Hotspur Way.
