Daniel Levy left Tottenham in shock fashion in September.
Levy had planned his exit at Spurs, but that didn’t prevent the huge surprise from surrounding his departure from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The chairman had faced significant pressure over many years from supporters, with Levy becoming a hugely controversial figure at Tottenham.
The majority of fans were glad to see Levy depart his role at Tottenham after what had been a largely frustrating few years under Ange Postecoglou.
As happy as the Lilywhites faithful may have been, it does now appear that Levy was hugely let down by ENIC before his departure.

Daniel Levy used as scapegoat by ENIC at Tottenham
The Lewis family have taken over from Levy at Tottenham as they look to run the N17 club themselves.
There have been various sale links in recent weeks, but their stance has remained firm that Spurs aren’t for sale at any price.
ENIC have now put their money where their mouth is and invested £100million into the Lilywhites as a new capital injection.
They hope that this will “strengthen the club’s financial position and equip the club’s leadership team with additional resources to continue the focus on driving long-term sporting success,” as per the official Tottenham Hotspur website.
This latest monetary boost has now taken the Lewis family’s spend to £257.1m since they took over in North London.
The frustration for Levy will come as ENIC have invested more since December 2024, £135m, than they did in the 24 years prior, £122.1m.
The former chairman will look at this and feel let down by the new investment, especially after he came under fire so regularly throughout his time with Spurs.
Levy has every right to fume at Peter Charrington comments
Supporters always saw the 63-year-old as the man who was holding Tottenham back.
A general lack of transfer spending was evident throughout his tenure, and he will be remembered for exactly that.
Tottenham transfer spend last 10 years:
It now seems that the ENIC let him down due to their lack of investment, for which he was forced to take the blame in N17.
Levy is bound to be annoyed that the Lewis’ have changed their approach after his exit and years of flak from outside the Lilywhites.
This won’t improve after what Non-Executive Chairman Charrington said, as this £100m capital injection was confirmed.
He said: “As I stated a few weeks ago, our focus is on stability and empowering the management team to deliver on the club’s ambitions. I know the Lewis family are also ambitious for the future.
“Today’s capital commitment reflects that ambition, and I would like to thank them for their ongoing support. We will continue to do all we can to ensure that Vinai and his team are supported in the best way possible to take this club forward.”
These comments feel like a kick in the teeth to Levy, who worked tirelessly for nearly 25 years before he was ultimately hounded out.
