Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make a decision on their new manager next week after sacking Ange Postecoglou, according to David Ornstein.

The Lilywhites have made the decision to part ways with their Australian boss despite him winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League next season, after a dismal Premier League campaign saw them finish 17th with 22 defeats from their 38 games.

Now all their attentions have turned to who they will bring in to replace him, and Ornstein believes it could be a fast process in north London.

Tottenham to Make Manager Decision 'Next Week'

Thomas Frank leading contender

According to Ornstein, Spurs have made Brentford boss Thomas Frank their number one target to replace Postecoglou.

The Dane, who GIVEMESPORT sources revealed has met with Daniel Levy several times about the role, is said to be interested in the position and the chance to manage in the Champions League. However, Ornstein also reports that there has currently been no contact between the clubs.

Reports in Portugal, however, suggest that Tottenham are 'very close' to finding an agreement with Fulham manager Marco Silva about becoming the club's next manager.

GMS sources also understand that the likes of Andoni Iraola and Roberto Di Zerbi have also been eyed by Tottenham chiefs but neither manager are expected to leave their current roles ahead of the new season.

Bringing a new manager into the club is seen as a priority for the north London club, as they look to strengthen their squad for a Champions League campaign. No new signings have been made yet by Daniel Levy, although the club have made the signing of Kevin Danso permanent.
