Tottenham Hotspur have submitted a £50m bid to sign West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus this summer, with talks ongoing after the offer was rejected according to David Ornstein.

The Lilywhites are looking to bolster Thomas Frank's attacking options during the summer window after he replaced Ange Postecoglou, with the club heading for the Champions League following their Europa League win in May.

Talks have been ongoing with the Hammers over a deal for the Ghana star.

Tottenham Bid £50m for Kudus

He's one of several options

Kudus, who has been described as a 'superstar', is expected to leave the London Stadium this summer as the Hammers look to raise funds for a squad rebuild under manager Graham Potter.

The Ghana international has a £85m release clause written into his contract for Premier League clubs, but that clause only runs for the first few weeks of July. However, it's believed West Ham would be willing to negotiate a deal for less than that, with some reports suggesting they want around £65m.

Ornstein has now confirmed that Tottenham have seen a £50m bid rejected.

"West Ham United have tonight received an offer from Tottenham Hotspur to sign Mohammed Kudus. Bid worth £50m turned down but direct club-to-club talks continue. 24yo Ghana int’l prioritising #THFC if exits #WHUFC + personal terms no issue"

Chelsea are also believed to be interested, with some suggestions that West Ham would prefer to sell to them over their rivals Tottenham.

Spurs had previously shown an interest in Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo, but those moves went nowhere and now it seems that Kudus is the most likely option, although there is still some way to go for him to complete a move.
