Roberto De Zerbi shared team news for Tottenham ahead of the trip to Liverpool in midweek.

·‘I’d like to go far in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup’

Rotation is likely from the head coach before the visit of Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, but he is eager to get goals and a win on the board to kickstart the campaign for his club at Anfield on Tuesday.

"I’d like to go far in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. I’d like to play with the same attitude as in the Premier League and maybe score more goals, but the attitude and the spirit, I want to see the same.

"Dejan Kulusevski is still not available; Pedro Porro is not available. Destiny Udogie - yes.

“Richarlison, you already know - nothing has changed for the Carabao Cup or Premier League; the situation is the same.

“I can answer about the results, the players in the squad, the offensive space, the defensive space, but not other things. What I've done at the beginning of this season has been to speak with him and propose an extension of the contract. If he says no, then thank you; I've finished my job.

“We have to see [if Luca Williams-Barnett and Malachi Hardy play] because many players need to play. Maybe not 90 minutes, but 30 minutes. A real game is important. Yes, there is not Sandro Tonali. I forgot to say because he felt a knock.

“I think Lucas Bergvall is not another player, Mathys Tel, also [so they could play at Anfield.]
