Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi needs to find a way to improve his side's creativity after a disappointing start to the season, and Dejan Kulusevski could be the answer.
So far this season, Tottenham are yet to secure three points in the Premier League and they currently sit at the bottom of the table.
Creating chances has been a major issue for them this campaign, with just 5.0 expected goals, ranking them 18th in the Premier League.
That's certainly an area in which De Zerbi will be desperate to improve his side, but they also need to tighten up defensively.
The Tottenham boss could be forced into a defensive change, which might spark Spurs into life when it comes to tightening up at the back, with Jan Paul van Hecke recently pulling out of the Netherlands squad due to injury.
De Zerbi needs to figure out a plan to improve Tottenham's creativity numbers, and he appears to be trying that over the international break.
In Tottenham's latest training video, Kulusevski was spotted playing in a more central role than he's used to playing in.
The Swedish international has predominantly played on the right-hand side since his move to Tottenham, but he was showing good chemistry with Mohammed Kudus from the number 10 position.
De Zerbi has deployed Conor Gallagher in attacking midfield at times this season, but the former Chelsea man isn't known for his creativity.
Kulusevski can offer Spurs just that, being a player who is capable of picking a decisive pass and making things happen in the final third.
Kulusevski could be the answer to Tottenham's creativity problems, and it's a positive that De Zerbi is trying new things in order to try to find a solution for the north London club.
Kulusevski's numbers in the 10
Throughout his career, Kulusevski has played a strong number of games in the number 10 position, but he's predominantly been utilised on the right-hand side of attack.
The Swedish forward has also been deployed as a second striker and in a deeper midfield role, and it's safe to say he can be incredibly effective from central areas.
In fact, Kulusevski's output per game is a lot higher when played centrally rather than on the right-hand side.
De Zerbi hasn't had Kulusevski at his disposal since he arrived last season, with the Spurs man being out injured for over 500 days, so it will be a huge boost to have him available in the coming weeks.
