Leeds United’s weekend Premier League opponents could welcome back two players this weekend.

Leeds United’s weekend opponents Tottenham Hotspur look set for a double injury boost ahead of their Elland Road trip.

Spurs travel up to West Yorkshire on Saturday having appeared to turn a corner with three consecutive Premier League wins. Roberto De Zerbi’s side beat 10-man Crystal Palace 2-0 last weekend with former Leeds youngster Archie Gray on the scoresheet.

Neither defender Tosin Adarabioyo nor attacking midfielder Lucas Bergvall were in the matchday squad against Palace but speaking before the game, De Zerbi pencilled in a return at Elland Road. Whites summer target Mykhailo Mudryk, Savio and Wilson Odobert do look set to miss out however.

"Before the international break, for Tosin and Bergvall. Maybe," De Zerbi said. "Maybe not from the beginning against Leeds but available, yes, I hope so. Mudryk and Savio after the international break. [Odobert should be back in training] after December. After Christmas. In January, I think. It is a great thing for us."

Two important players who were involved against Palace were full-back pair Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie. Both had been out with recent injuries before making second-half substitute appearances in recent weeks.

Leeds academy graduate Gray started and scored from right-back before being taken off at half-time against Palace due to being on a yellow card. The Whites might see first-choice full-backs Porro and Udogie fit enough to start against them this weekend.

“Pedro is ready,” De Zerbi added on Saturday. “We didn't take risks, speaking with him, he decided before the game, he was very honest with me and I appreciate that a lot because the Premier League is 38 games, not one game. With Destiny Udogie, hopefully we can work many weeks in a row. Until now, it was not possible.”

Leeds are facing Tottenham at an unfortunate time, given their uptick in form. Spurs started the Premier League campaign winless in six but now have three victories on the spin.

Daniel Farke’s side, meanwhile, have gone five matches without a win, their last victory coming at home to Newcastle United on September 14. Leeds have a few injury doubts heading into the weekend including Noah Okafor, who missed Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth with an adductor issue.
