Eduardo Camavinga central to Roberto De Zerbi project as £60m Tottenham transfer on

Eduardo Camavinga could be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur if they remain in the Premier League.

The Lilywhites are edging ever closer to avoiding relegation, with West Ham’s defeat against Newcastle United only enhancing those chances.

That could prompt summer transfer plans to come to the fore as Roberto De Zerbi prepares for a first full campaign in charge in North London.

The Italian isn’t afraid to bring in big names, as showcased by his spell at Marseille, and could continue that trend at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Camavinga could be the man for Spurs as a move from Real Madrid could prove to be possible when the window opens.

Tottenham could make Eduardo Camavinga their main man

There is a massive need for an overhaul in N17 moving into the summer after two dreadful seasons domestically.

Many names have already been linked with a move, but the France international could represent a turning point in fortune for the Lilywhites.

The 23-year-old has been regular for Real Madrid ever since his move from Stade Rennais in the summer of 2021, resulting in two Champions League title wins.

It looks as if his time at Santiago Bernabeu could be coming to an end, and that could open the door for De Zerbi to bring in a potential key player for his future aims.

Former Spurs scout Bryan King believes the Italian wants Camavinga to be one of the key players in his busy summer rebuild.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “Tottenham have spent a lot of money in recent windows and have spent enough to be challenging at the top end of the Premier League.

“They have to first decide who is staying and who they’re going to sell.

“Before you can bring in players for big money, you have to guarantee them first-team football.

“He would be a central part of the new team under De Zerbi.

“Tottenham have to rebuild their position in the Premier League, and he certainly is a player of quality.

“Real Madrid will be wanting £60million minimum, if not more.”

Considering key men like Cristian Romero have been linked with a Spurs exit, bringing in big names could prove to be imperative.

Tottenham could break transfer record for Camavinga

The North London clubs haven’t always had the ability to spend big on transfers, but certainly have in recent years.

Dominic Solanke cost them £65m in 2024, while Tanguy Ndombele came in for £63m and Richarlison at £60m.

Most recently, Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons were signed for over £50m, proving there is money to spend.

Camavinga could prove to be a great use of funds, even if he is to cost closer to the £65m transfer record in North London.

The Frenchman certainly has quality and could help change the tide after years of problems at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
