Everton’s hunt for a new right-back is firmly up and running ahead of the summer transfer market opening.

Seamus Coleman’s announced departure from Everton leaves the club with just one recognised right-back in Nathan Patterson.

The Scotland international has barely had a sniff under David Moyes, with Galatasaray defender Roland Sallai believed to be an option.

For the last time this season, let us know your prediction ahead of Sunday’s game… 🫩

Could Everton really send Spurs down? 😳

Everton are not the only Premier League club eyeing the Hungarian, though, with Tottenham Hotspur also in the race.

Everton eyeing Galatasaray right-back Roland Sallai

Angus Kinnear is prioritising a right-back this summer given the problems that position has caused Everton this season.

A report from Turkish outlet Fanatik has claimed both Everton and Tottenham are eyeing a possible swoop for the Galatasaray right-back, Sallai.

Having previously attracted interest from Liverpool, Galatasaray are believed to be keen to seek £17m for the 28-year-old.

The Blues could finish as low as 14th… 😫

Questions remain over Patterson’s future given the sheer lack of trust Moyes has shown in the Scotland international this season.

Sallai has shown plenty of versatility – which Moyes will like – having played across a number of attacking positions, as well as his natural right-back spot.

Roland Sallai highlights Everton’s interest in experienced players

The 28-year-old defender is certainly not short of experience and highlights what type of player Everton could be after this summer.

Sallai started 10 times for Galatasaray in the Champions League this season, with 47 total appearances across all competitions.

A lack of injury issues shown this season will be a big positive for Everton, who have suffered significantly through the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite being absent.

Beating Spurs this weekend and potentially relegating the north London side would surely provide Everton a huge advantage in the race to sign Sallai.

Although Fulham are also said to be interested, sinking the Lilywhites would blow the race for his signature wide open.
